  1. Cameron Ferguson is only 21 and is still learning his trade. People who are not happy with Duncan Ferguson should know better than to take it out on his son. All our young players need encouragement. It will affect their confidence if they are getting verbal abuse from fans, even if it is only a small minority who are thoughtlessly doing it. Those involved should know better and use their energy in a positive way. We won the game 3-0 which makes their reported actions yesterday even more moronic.
  2. Lewis Jamieson is now at Raith Roberts and Steven Boyd is at East Kilbride.
  3. Sam Pearson for Yeovil and Steven Boyd for East Kilbride yesterday, with Zak Delaney sent off for Morton. George Oakley for Ayr today.
  4. 3-0. Will take that and good to see Brooks amongst the goals. I missed it as away just now, but hope it was a good performance.
  5. A great achievement and hopefully some future players participated. The Community Trust does a power of work. Whilst many on here won’t be eligible for the Summer Hotshots, they run Football Memories sessions monthly at the stadium.
  6. I like it and have no issues with doing a different badge for the away kit this year. I’m sure it will be a good seller and lets us put last year’s orange abomination behind us. Well done to those involved and I’m just glad we still have a club, and that they’ve been able to sort out the Puma arrangement and finally get these on sale.
  7. Noted yesterday were Morgan Boyes for Morton, Nathan Austin (2) for East Fife and Rory McAllister for Peterhead.
  8. I missed the game yesterday so only have the highlights and comments to go by. Mckay’s finish was a real penalty box striker’s finish. He was very alert to react quickly and poke the ball in. Now the players don’t have all the off field turmoil playing on their minds, getting a vital win will have built their confidence greatly. It is time to kick on although, yet again, the level of injuries is concerning.
  9. I’d like to see Brooks get a run in the team. He has pace and movement, and is not scared to have a shot.
  10. Yes, there are pies available in the Sports Bar.
  11. Does that apply to loan deals too?
  12. East Fife @ 2.40 please.

  14. He’s definitely a great prospect but, at his age, getting game time is important. He’ll be training with us and playing every week, rather than being on the bench or not even making the squad. For me, it’s a good move now we’ve a larger squad as he and Nixon will benefit from regular competitive game time and hopefully it helps them both become future first team regulars for us.
  15. Jack Walker to Nairn I hear. In fairness it gives him and Sam Nixon guaranteed game time rather than just filling our bench.
  16. I wouldn’t be surprised if his salary is the lowest of all Managers of full time teams in Scotland.
  17. Which one?
  18. The Courier is reporting that Ferguson has taken a 40% wage cut, from £2000 to £1200 per week, and that when he joined he was on £3000 per week.
  19. I get your logic but can’t help feeling that if AS was not taking the approach he is, SG would be much more likely to take the matter to court. A bit like defending from the front to prevent the attack taking place at all. I, like many others, am enjoying it all
  20. I think AS has been very clever in how he has handled the SG situation. He’s made it clear he, not the club, is fronting it. He’s made it clear how badly he feels SG was performing and the poor decisions he was making. Making things like 7000 unread e-mails public highlights that there were deficiencies in his running of the club. It’s all been done to make it clear to SG that AS will meet fire with fire, funding it himself, and that there will only be one winner, which will not be SG. Surely, despite his well discussed ego issues, not even SG is foolish enough to take that fight on. If he is, AS will take him to the cleaners. And why should AS pay SG some or all of the £70k when he knows it would be much better used taking the club forward? Good on him!
  21. Tonight, Harry Nicolson (2) for Clach, Aiden Wilson for Inverurie and Aaron Nicolson (2) for Strathspey.
  22. It’s been a good day!
  23. From the club website just now: “Amicable deal has been struck that saves club from administration all stakeholders should be delighted” Alan Savage says it’s a great result and hopefully we get another one on Saturday. Interim Chairman Panos Thomas has also expressed his delighted and is hoping too for a good result on Saturday.
  24. Jamie McCart for Rotherham last night.
