  1. Seemingly we are. Unusual, but a chance to see some of our younger players in action.
  2. I’m no fan of this format (as it would be more interesting with HL and LL clubs rather than B teams and will probably be loss making for the club) but this a good way of getting game time for players who are not regular starters. I hope we finish in the top six so we are seeded for the last 16 and have a better chance of progressing to the later rounds and possibly making some money. With the changes to the line up and what seems to have been a comfortable win, my confidence for this season is cautiously growing.
  3. Looks like you called that right!
  4. Yes, only Savage started on Saturday.
  5. That’s a pretty strong 11 and a very strong bench. Looks like Kell wants to win the match.
  6. Falkirk and Livingston don’t have B teams in this and I think County didn’t enter a B team last year. It doesn’t seem optional for teams in the Championship and Leagues 1 and 2 though. I’d anticipate the starting line up being most of the players on the bench on Saturday (maybe not Allan if he’s now fully fit or Bavidge) supplemented by youngsters. That would mean Ross, Strachan, Robertson, Alonge, Thompson and Zimba starting, and a line up that should be good enough to get a result.
  7. Our first Fans Meeting of the new season will take place at 1230 on Saturday 16 August in Bar 94. We are delighted that Alan Savage will be attending the meeting. He will give an update on the club and answer questions from fans. Following all the turmoil of the last year or so, it is great that we are now in a position where we can look forward to the new league season with optimism and this is your opportunity to hear from Alan and ask any questions that you have. If you are unable to attend, but have questions you would like the Supporters Trust Board to ask on your behalf, please let us know at [email protected]. To help you get to the Stadium for the meeting, Stagecoach will be operating an additional bus from the Bus Station at 1200. The fare is £2.70 single with concessionary passes valid. Details of the meeting, which is open to all fans are in the image below, and you can see full details of what we shared with our members here: Fans Meeting: Saturday 16 August 2025
  8. I agree that Sole’s was ridiculous as it was not a dive, but from the view I had of it I had no complaints about Savages. I also felt Devine was lucky not to be carded given the poor performance of the referee. Peterhead were adept at influencing his decisions. But I didn’t mean to detract from the team‘s performance as the start to the season has been excellent. 6 points and 2 clean sheets, we look a threat in front of goal again, and the players seem to be enjoying life. With Allan back, Millen and MacKinnon recovering and Davidson making progress, we have genuine competition for starting places. It was also great to hear the crowd being above 2000.
  9. That was more comfortable than I’d anticipated in windy conditions. Wotherspoon took his goal well after good work by Mckay in the box to lay the ball off to the impressive MacIntyre. Sole’s goal was a tap in after a good move. Other than some sloppy passing as bc has mentioned (add Savage and Devine to the list) and again picking up needless bookings, a very satisfactory afternoon and it’s good to be off the bottom of the league so soon. MacIntyre deserved the MoM award I thought MacLeod did well at right back, whilst Sole (hope his injury is not bad) and Longstaff caused problems wide, and McKay, Wotherspoon and Stewart all had good moments. Onwards and upwards.
  10. It’s time to make our renamed stadium a fortress again. We’ve done better away from home than at home in too many recent seasons so I’m hoping we start a great run of home league results today. We are the team the others in this league want to beat most as we are seen as the biggest team, and we can’t expect any game to be easy. Peterhead will be confident after last week’s result, and the wind may have a part to play too. But here’s to three points!
  11. That’s how it finished. A reunion with Ryan Esson and Aaron Doran next on 20 August, presumably at Grantown despite us being drawn at home.
  12. Being selfish, I don’t want any home games moved for tv. I agree with CaleyD that it is a financial blow for the club, through a reduced attendance and resulting reduced revenue through Bar 94 and the serveries. I don’t make many away games so any picked for tv would be a bonus (for me) but I see the problems it can create for those planing to be at the away games.

I thought he juggled it and then made a clever finish. As you say, need to see it again. I was with a pal who supports Kelty who feared the worst before kick off as he felt they were exposed playing out from the back and two of our goals came from pressing them in that situation. As you say, our job is to beat what we are facing and we did that with aplomb today. Roll on next Saturday and hopefully we can perform as well at home as we did today.

Dominant performance until we eased up after the third. Kelty were poor and their defence contributed to each goal, but we had to score. Mckay’s opener was the pick, curling the ball in. Longstaff scored the second with a header, whilst Wotherspoon juggled the ball before calmly netting the third. Chalmers ran the midfield and MacIntyre looked good at left back. An enjoyable afternoon in the sun but we will have tougher tests ahead.
  15. I’ve done with third as we will have a target on our back as we will be seen as the team to beat, along with the five point penalty. I think Queen of the South, Cove and Alloa will be competitive this season and if we get above all of them we won’t be far away. The key thing is that we get behind Kell and the players regardless of how the first few games go. It it still largely a young squad supported by a core of experienced players. I’m really looking forward to this afternoon.

A busy day but presumably that’s our squad now complete. On paper it looks good, with competition for places and cover should injuries or suspensions hit us. I’d expect some of our youngsters to go out on loan to get valuable game time, a luxury we couldn’t really afford last season. It could do guys like Keogh and Corner a power of good.

Striker Chanka Zimba is the second signing. Most recently at Marine, previously at Cardiff with various loans.
  18. The order was probably delayed by all the administration issues so it’s not surprising it is not here for the league season starting.

After the rumours, that’s Alfie Bavidge confirmed as a season long loan.
  20. Chilikoa-Mullen had a loan spell in Inverness that was cut short by injury.
  21. No problem, I’ve changed mine to reflect the location of the picture but as I’m now 1-1 you’d never know 😂😂
  22. A query on Saturday’s games. The predictor is showing Alloa v Stenhousemuir but Stenhousemuir are at home. I couldn’t log in with my e-mail but it worked with my user name.
