  1. Any word on Robbo and Kells? Hopefully they are able to return soon. The players don’t seem sure what they should be doing and we are lacking confidence as a result. Other than MacGregor’s shot and Toddy’s effort, I don’t recall us causing Morton any trouble.
  2. Allardice booked. He must be getting near a suspension.
  3. We’ve done nothing since going behind and have seldom sent the ball near Doran. Morton hadn’t won in 10, I think the commentators said. This will be 1 win in 12 for us if nothing changes with 3 tough games looming. Help!
  4. Have we gone 3 5 2? As things stand, we are 9th.
  5. 1 down. We seemed to stand off. Not good, and against the run of play but no great surprise! We need a big response now.
  6. Good to see the Morton player who slipped in the box get straight back up and not try to claim he’d been fouled. Quite surprising!
  7. Not the best half of football but conditions poor. I think we’ve shaded it since the early scare. We will have the wind advantage second half but need to make it count. Morton are no great shakes but neither are we at the moment!
  8. Our best effort there from MacGregor. Well picked out by Sutherland. Decent save as Wyness101 has said.
  9. MacGregor wide right, Sutherland wide left and Keatings playing off Toddy by the looks of it so far. And we’ve already struggled trying to play it out from the back.
  10. Seems Trouten was sent off for kicking out at MacGregor off the ball.
  11. Good to see Doran making the bench and McHattie in the squad too. Presumably Storey is injured as well as Harper. With Keatings and MacGregor both starting, I wonder if we are 4 4 2 again with Keatings up front with Toddy and Sutherland and MacGregor wide. We will see soon enough, but my worry is that we are lacking pace in the line up. I’ve been suggesting we play Allardice and Carson so will be interesting to see how that works. Its good that we again have Iain Auld as co commentator. Come on the Caley Jags! Cheer us up with a win!
  12. The wind certainly is picking up. In our last game last season before the pandemic got games suspended (by coincidence on the same Tuesday last year), we mastered the wind and comfortably beat Queen of the South. Oh for the same tonight!
  13. Sounds like Harper could be a doubt for tomorrow: https://ictfc.com/match-preview-morton-h
  14. PPV details for tomorrow night’s game, remember it is a 1900 kick off. https://ictfc.com/ppv-info-morton-h Come on guys, three points please!
  15. Can I politely request you continue this in private, please.
  16. I’ve wondered about 3 5 2 also recently given our lack of natural width amongst the fit members of the squad, at least until we have Doran or McDonald available. I agree the most likely 3 are Mckay, Devine and Deas. The middle 5 would presumably have Duffy and Harper playing wide. We then pick three from Welsh, Carson, Allardice, Vincent, Mackay and MacGregor. Up front it would be 2 from Toddy, Sutherland, Storey and Keatings. I suspect we will stick with what has recently looked like a 4 4 2 though.
  17. Without doubt, but he only had one really stand out game (at Dumfries) so I don’t think that is the whole story. That said, looking at the time we had and have not had Kennedy, if (and its a big iff!) we win on Tuesday, the points totals will be similar. I feel we have struggled since New Year and all the postponements, which is also when the off field issues started so I’m sure they are playing a part too. Before New Year: 12 points from 9 games. After New Year: 8 points from 8 games (will be 11 from 9 if we win on Tuesday).
  18. 10 points from our first 6 games. 10 points from our last 11 games. We’ve got poorer. Bearing in mind our injury position was worst at the start of the season, it is hard to pinpoint what has caused it. Earlier in the run, we were dropping points from winning positions and in games we should have won. Now we just seem to be dropping points, and confidence seems low as a result. Tuesday is a classic 6 pointer: win and it could kick start us, lose and we may not recover.
  19. With the rumours about County’s targets, we may get bids for one or two of the nine you have advised are under contract for next season. From your list, we would be letting Mckay, McHattie, Toshney, Storey, Sutherland, Doran, McDonald and young goalie MacKinnon go, along with Keatings who is already going.
