Caramel Wafer Cup Semi Final
It may also galvanise the squad and make them work together to get the best out of the rest of the season and give a two fingered salute to those in power.

Dundee Utd -V- Inverness CT
I was at the game and, courtesy of a pal who had a hospitality table, was sitting with United fans. I was worried after seeing our 4-1 and 3-0 defeats to them when we lost an early goal, but from then on we matched them and were worthy of at least a draw. The United fans I was with felt we had been the best visitors to Tannadice this season and knew they did not deserve to win. As mentioned above, if we can maintain the performance and commitment shown tonight, we should secure the vital second place. Of the team, Ridgers had little to do. Rooney and Tremarco both got forward and Tremarco was very close with a late effort. Mckay and McHattie coped well with the lively attack. Carson was committed and it was unfortunate his petulance got him booked early on and, after a dodgy challenge we were right to sub him. Vincent had one of his best games since coming back to us. Walsh was lively and seems to be getting back to his best. As someone has said, Storey underperformed and did not really attack the defence when he had the chance to do so. Keatings had a decent game and White took his goal well and could have had another. We matched a team with a much larger budget and were unlucky not to get at least a point, but it has given me optimism for the months ahead. We have a tough run ahead with midweek games on four consecutive Tuesdays, but performances like tonight will see us through it.

Dundee Utd v Caley Thistle
No inspection planned. I’m going tonight. Only second away game this season. Unfortunately the other was the 4-1 loss down here!

Caramel Wafer Cup Semi Final
A shocking decision The club website has confirmation and says a statement will be released later today. If also says their internet is down (yesterday) but they will advise when it is back on..... which it presumably is given the Keatings post.

More TV Games
I see our home game against Dundee United will be a 1905 kick off on Friday 10 April whilst our away game against Partick Thistle will be a 1920 kick off on Saturday 18 April. Both on BBC Scotland. We’ve not hard our share of live league games this season but 1920 on a Saturday??

Caramel Wafer Cup Semi Final
I’ve now watched the two incidents on tape and both confirm what I thought at the time: it was not a dive and it was a goal. The Rangers no 8 held his hands up so he knew he’d made contact and was hoping the ref would not give a foul against him. Hopefully the appeal is successful. If not, is it just the final Keatings will miss it will he also be suspended for Friday night’s game in Dundee?

I think it’s because he seems unable to head the ball! I’ve noticed that recently. Lol. I know you will retort about White too though! Credit that he was in the right place at the right time to smash home the winner!!

Caramel Wafer Cup Semi Final
I didn’t get one and didn’t at the Clyde game either. The announcer said 1700 and something. There were at least two coaches with fans as three coaches in the away car park. If the final is 28 March, that will be another home midweek game for the visit of Ayr.

Some stats on Sky earlier. Christie and Polworth are second and third in the assists table this season.

Caramel Wafer Cup Semi Final
Having been one of the 1700+ there, the conditions were shocking and had an impact on the match. Rangers came out flying and their speed troubled us all afternoon. Given the conditions and the ref, we did well to get the job done and get to the final. I didn’t think Walsh was offside and how Keatings got a red defies belief. I taped it so will have a look later Carson was the sponsors man of the match, but I’d have picked Ridgers for at least three decent saves. It was the first I’ve seen of Toshney. He looked off the pace at the start but had a couple of vital tackles. Looking forward to the final!

Toshney and Vincent starting in place of Mckay and Welsh. Otherwise unchanged. Wet and windy in the ground.

They’ve tweeted again in the last hour or so that there is no inspection planned.

Pals off the park?!

Caramel Wafer Cup Semi Final
I agree. As a starter, what about: Mackay Rooney Toshney McHattie Harper Welsh Carson Walsh MacGregor Machado Todorov Can’t see it happening but it would give a lot of players a break before the next few critical weeks, whilst helping Welsh and Walsh back to full fitness.

Caramel Wafer Cup Semi Final
I wonder if we will start with any of Harper, MacGregor and Machado or whether we will have our first choice 11 to maximise our chances of getting to the final.
