  1. Interesting line up with Nicolson starting at right back and good to see Harper, MacGregor and Mackay all starting along with all four new signings. Devine a bit of a surprise as captain. Is it a 4 4 2 with Sutherland and Todorov up front? Do we have any injury concerns at present, given the absence of Mckay, McHattie, Welsh, Carson, Vincent and Doran from the squad?
  2. It certainly does, even if just really a match to try to get some sharpness in before the league starts. Let’s not expect too much from today’s game. The team has not played since March and we have a few new faces including a largely new defence, so if we fail to make an impact today, let’s not get wild with them!
  3. Anyone know the dates of the Elgin friendlies? Whilst they will be behind closed doors, it is the first we will get any idea about the shape and fitness of the team and indications of who may emerge as our first choices.
  4. They have published initial games, contingent on Government confirming fans will be allowed to attend: http://www.hflhub.co.uk/ I hope I’m wrong, but I suspect fans will not be allowed given today’s developments. Presumably that will mean the games not going ahead, but who knows.
  5. Ryan Christie scored in Celtic’s 3-2 win against Livingston whilst Iain Vigurs scored the only goal as County beat St Johnstone.
  6. Cheers Gringo, good that you are keeping this going. Hopefully you are able to reintroduce the crowd section soon, but I suspect it won’t be for a long time. Is it worth putting up a list of joker entitlement? Maybe we should all use them in the first games in case we get another season suspended!
  7. Dean Ebbe scored and had an assist for TNS in the Europa League last night, but was one of two who then missed penalties in the shoot out as they went out in the Faroes. If he’d scored his they’d have gone through.
  8. Can’t see White being loaned out so soon after joining Motherwell. I agree that Chalmers is a good signing for Ayr though.
  9. Ventured across the bridge today (sacrilege I know) but good to see the next game board showing our home game against Cowdenbeath on it. I assume it will be with no fans, but a visible sign that our team is alive and, hopefully, we get at least some season ticket holders at games before too long. We can hope!
  10. He scored over 9 in the player rater on the BBC Sport app: I assume Celtic fans voted for him!! I see Vigurs gifted Celtic a goal too.
  11. All I know (from a google search) is that Fyffe is a defender whilst Nicolson is a left back. Don’t know if Fyffe can play right back or whether he is a centre half.
  12. Excellent news. Look forward to reading it.
  13. Ryan Fyffe and Harry Nicolson, both released when their contracts expired in June, have signed new deals with the club.
  14. Not sure what we get from a Platinum sponsor but it hopefully helps us to have financial security and perhaps we can now get a right back: https://ictfc.com/new-partnership-announced
  15. Well that was a hard watch. The Czech Republic were by far the better team tonight, and all bar two were debutants and they were only called up yesterday. With two class left backs, why are we playing a back three that includes a midfielder out of position? With the same starting line up, a 4 5 1 or 4 4 2 would have been more sensible with Palmer and Robertson playing full back and McTominay in midfield. We got a very lucky penalty (scored by Christie) or this would have been another night of great embarrassment. David Marshall has several good saves and the woodwork saved us at least once. The Czechs has 19 attempts compared to our 6. Only bright spot was Dykes instinctive run for his goal. We need to revert to a back 4 when we play Israel in the play off.
  16. Another international penalty for Christie tonight. That said, the penalty should not have been awarded. Another uninspiring performance so far.
  17. Graeme Shinnie came off the bench and scored in the penalty shoot out as Derby beat Barrow.
  18. Armstrong came off the bench but a pretty uninspiring performance which does not bode well for the qualification play offs coming up.
  19. And opens the scoring, showing how to take a penalty.
  20. May be of interest: http://www.hflhub.co.uk/index.php/2682-highland-league-2020-21-season-update
  21. This is what the club said back on 2 June: https://ictfc.com/end-of-season-2019-20-squad-update
  22. I’m sure I read they were released so they could sign for other clubs if opportunities arose after their contracts expired in June. I’m not sure whether furlough would have applied from 1 July or not but there were hints some could be signed back on. Fyffe is a defender and was named player of the year at Fort William. Not sure if he can play right back. Brown is a midfielder.
  23. Oh dear, Carl Tremarco sent off for two yellow cards in County’s defeat at Livingston. Donaldson, Draper, Vigurs and Mckay also started the game.
  24. Hope you didn’t Alan. He’s not fit yet and not in their squad as a result.
  25. Update I’m away kit now on club website: https://ictfc.com/20-21-away-kit-available-in-store-from-tuesday
