Caramel Wafer Cup Semi Final
I agree entirely. What are the rules for Colts teams? Can they field a limited number of over 21s? As their league game is off today, could that mean we face a tougher team tomorrow? No inspection planned according to the club’s Twitter feed. Doran and Toshney trained yesterday so may be available. I didn’t know Toshney had been injured.

Caramel Wafer Cup Semi Final
Raith Rovers have won 2-1 away at Partick Thistle so will be our opponents if we win on Sunday. Must admit I’m glad Partick are out given our record against them this season.

Friday night after an away league game on the Tuesday...., Once again, we’ve been done no favours!

Quarter finals
And Vigurs got his customary booking! Hibs sit sixth, one place below Livingston, so we should go there with no fear and give it our best shot. We’ve nothing to lose!

Outside the ugly sisters, in percentage terms that must match most teams. Says a lot for what we’ve achieved in our short existence. Barring a miracle by BSC Glasgow or Clyde, we will be the only non top flight team in the last 8. I must admit, whilst our finances are not good, I’m hoping for a winnable home draw and, perhaps, another trip to Hampden.

Scottish cup tie v Livingston
Indeed! Did Dykes do anything other than try long throw ins with the wind in the first half?

Fort William - first league win in 882 days
They are off the bottom on goal difference after winning at Turriff. 7 points out of 9 on the road. Hopefully our youngsters are benefitting from their loan spells. Morrison and Hyde scored today.

A very good display by the team in poor conditions. First half against the wind was always going to be backs to the wall but we handled the conditions well, we’re not too troubled and made a good game of it. Second half we used the conditions to our benefit and did really well. Welsh scored direct from a free kick into the bottom corner while half the crowd were watching Storey run to the touch line to change his boots! We then did well to close the game out. Yes there were some loose balls in poor conditions but we were more than a match for Livingston. Ridgers and the defence coped well. Carson was the pick of the midfield, making a right nuisance of himself, whilst Welsh just brings calmness and control. White had a good game up front whilst I cannot fault any of the guys. A good job well done. Just a shame only 1512 there to enjoy it Roll on the draw for the last 8.

The wind is picking up. If it is swirling in the stadium, a day for keeping the ball down. With today being a key anniversary and being underdogs against a team doing well in the Premiership, albeit with dodgy away form, this is a day for our guys to show what they are made of, step up to the mark and get us through to the next round. Let’s get behind them from kick off!

Scottish cup tie v Livingston
We are underdogs on Saturday but have a good cup pedigree so we have every chance. Lets hope we get a decent home support, perhaps even some vocal support from the YT, and the team rises to the occasion. Reading the piece on Livingston on the BBC Sport website, they are strong at home but struggle a bit away from home. That should give us confidence that we can compete with them and get a result. If Welsh is fit enough to start, that bolsters our midfield and gives support to whatever our defence ends up being. Hopefully Rooney and McHattie both make it, but if we need to turn to Harper that does not worry me as he has looked good when I have seen him, and Tremarco has covered at centre half before.

Don’t know, my wife bought ours on Ticketmaster.

Fort William - first league win in 882 days
They got a point in Banff against Deveronvale, so 4 points out of 6 in their last 2 away games. They have a fighting chance of not finishing bottom....

Stadium announcements in Gaelic.
Just for the record, I’ve never said I agree with the announcements being made, but the club is using local youngsters to do them which is community engagement. All I was highlighting was that, if we are going to do them, we should at least try to capitalise on them. I am a Highlander and proud of it, having been away for work for a while and coming back to the area it has changed immensely and our economy, whether we like it if not, depends greatly on tourism. Anyway, I’m going to shut up on this and respect the views of others.

Stadium announcements in Gaelic.
That’s harsh! Everyone is slagging the club off for not trying things. If they are going to do bilingual announcements, given the level of tourism in the area and the criticism of not having a shop in the City Centre, why not link the two things. It will only cost some commission and if it gets a few extra into the ground, visitors or locals, why not?

Stadium announcements in Gaelic.
They’ve been better of late. Having read the piece on the club website, it is youngsters doing the Gaelic translation, so we should encourage them. I would like to see the club exploit any financial advantage they can get from this given the number of visitors to our area.

January Transfer Window
Hopefully our decision makers are tucked up in bed and no late outgoing activity takes place..... unless they are working on a late incoming signing to surprise and excite us.....

Team for Alloa
Ayr drawing with Partick means we can get back to being 3 ahead if we can win tomorrow.

Stadium announcements in Gaelic.
Could we make money out of this? Promote it in the Tourist Office and sell tickets there and we may just appeal to foreign visitors looking to do something different and bring in some well needed cash and increase attendance. Possibly do an add on when matches are on to a Jacobite Tour with free travel on the shuttle bus from and to the Bus Station to make it easy. Just a thought!

Team for Alloa
Yes, 2-2 the week after we beat them in the Caramel Wafer Cup. If we’d closed out the last few minutes, that is the day we would have gone top. Feels like an age ago!

Team for Alloa
Just been looking at recent form: Alloa have taken 10 points out of 12 since Christmas including away wins at Dunfermline and Queen of the South. In that time, we have 3 points out of 9. With our poor record against teams at the bottom end of the league, this is set up to be a tough game, so hopefully none of the complacency we feel we have seen on occasions this season. I see Keatings is a doubt for this one.
