  1. Sounds like it just wasn’t our day, whilst Stenny are becoming a bit of a bogey side for us. There were always going to be set backs this season and the key now is how we bounce back at Montrose next Saturday. The Management Team and players have got us into a good position, one we’d all have been delighted with before the season started, and I’m sure we will come back strongly again.
  2. I saw the pyros, including the one that caused the game to be paused, but didn’t know about the after match antics: ICTFCUNACCEPTABLE CONDUCT ICTFC v Hamilton Academical FC - ICTFCThe good will and deserved plaudits the club have been delighted to extend to other clubs recently were completely negated on Saturday by the behaviour of a small section of the home support both duriWe really don’t need this.
  3. Confirmed our game will be on BBC Alba on 6 January.
  4. The Rock living up to the name of its predecessor Boghead 😂
  5. Those are the Scottish Cup rules, not those for this competition. I searched for this competition but the page on the SPFL website only gives the heading, at least on my device: https://spfl.co.uk/league/challenge-cup/regulations
  6. We did beat Fort William 16-0 in the NoS Cup in 2018 but that doesn’t count 😂😂
  7. Now there’s no Fife derby, we must be in with a shout of being the TV game in the last 16 unless they pick St Johnstone v County.
  8. Didn’t expect Ross Millen to be on penalty duty. Good to see him getting minutes in given the injury issues he has had.
  9. The league is our priority too but this cup has been excellent for us in terms of getting game time into the legs of players. You can only beat what’s in front of you and we are doing it in style. The other 5 games tonight have no more than 1 goal between the sides at half time.
  10. Is this our biggest ever half time lead?
  11. Think it’s safe to say we have got though 😂. Hat trick for Bavidge in the first 31 minutes plus Macleod and Mckay. With eight changes from Saturday, very encouraging to see the sharpness and keenness of the whole squad.
  12. A 9 point deduction has been imposed today due to them not having a bronze licence: https://spfl.co.uk/news/spfl-statement-hamilton-academical-50972
  13. Kell said in Bar 94 after the Hamilton game on Saturday that his focus had turned to the Dumbarton game, and then reflected on how we’ve done since we went there for his first game at the helm. There was no doubt in my mind that he wants to win this. He said that we’d 8 or 9 players on the bench on Saturday who could have started the Hamilton game, so I’d expect to see the likes of Logan, Millen, MacIntyre, Alonge, Longstaff and Bavidge start. Presumably Stewart will not be available having started for Aberdeen B in the group stages. Getting through and having a likely visit to Partick will give us an indication of how we will shape up against a decent Championship side too.
  14. Uncle Roy has acted: Docherty and Davidson both sacked today. They are now looking for their third Manager of the season and it’s not even Christmas yet.
  15. I didn’t see that live but that’s how the full time scores for us and County came through on tv! Enjoy!
  16. I’m buzzing after that. A great performance in horrible conditions, with every player playing their part. A much more comfortable afternoon than I expected and, with Alloa and Stenny losing, we are top for Christmas. What a long way we have come since last autumn. It’s a pleasure watching us play now.
  17. Hamilton may be galvanised by this week’s news and I’m sure this will be a tough game, potentially in wet and windy conditions if the forecast is accurate. By all accounts we were out of sorts on Wednesday and there’s been little recovery time for the players, but it’s our only home game in December, so I’m sure the players will be up for it and can secure three precious points. Let’s do it!
  18. Sadly, vandalism by young Tranent “fans”.
  19. It could be away to Cove as they’ve still to play. Unlikely though.
  20. Given the tight scoreline and how strong our line up was, I’ll be interested to hear from those there how we played as, from the BBC text, we made heavy weather of it. However, winning the game is what mattered. I hope Wotherspoon is not badly injured.
  21. I agree. In this digital world, anything printed will be a bit out of date. The club issues interviews and we have the great previews and reports on here. It is a small team behind the scenes and the work involved would be onerous and probably mean something else would not be done. How many fans would actually buy one anyway? I suspect it would be a major cost burden on the club.
  22. Now on the brink of administration it seems: Daily RecordHamilton Accies set for administration as club fights for...The embattled League One club has contacted administrators
  23. I understand Haddington is a grass pitch so hopefully there’s no risk to it going ahead. Congratulations to Scott Kellacher on his third Manager of the Month Award this season.
  24. Section 20 of the rules indicate we keep trying on Mondays and Wednesdays until the game gets played: https://www.scottishfa.co.uk/media/13230/mens-scottish-cup-rules-2025-26.pdf Section 10.3 refers to what happens if a club deems its ground unsuitable. Tranent potentially could do that if they don’t see it being playable soon and the SFA will determine the venue. If they don’t, this could go on and on! The impact on our preparations for league games is a major concern.
