  1. That was a tough watch, as has been the case so often. I thought we started poorly but then largely dominated the first half but couldn’t score. We were too tippy tappy yet again in the final third when shots were on. We came out strongly in the second half but conceded against the run of play and never looked like getting back in it after then. We could look at some poor refereeing decisions or play acting and time wasting by Queens Park but, in truth, we were just not capable of getting anything today. Our home form and results are shocking and it’s needs sorted very quickly.
  2. I hope it’s calmer at the ground by 1500 as it’s pretty blowy again this morning. I hope the wind doesn’t spoil the game.
  3. Toddy with the only goal for Airdrie tonight to get them to the Challenge Cup final (or whatever it’s called nowadays).
  4. HT 1-0 FT 3-1 ICT Mckay QP Paton Crowd 2156
  5. Big game tomorrow. With Arbroath idle, a win puts us 7 ahead of Queens Park and 8 ahead of Arbroath, although both will have a game in hand. If we win, we will overtake Ayr and / or Dunfermline if they fail to win. Goodness knows how we will line up, but Samuel and Mckay both need to start up front. Ferguson has really shaken the squad up and has not been afraid to make big decisions (eg Welsh and Carson). Hopefully the newbies are better than those who have gone and we start to put a strong run together. I’m looking forward to the game, but just hope the wind drops and doesn’t make the game a lottery.
  6. Two for Aiden Wilson for Rothes last night with Daniel Hoban sent off for Banks O’Dee.
  7. As the weekend approaches and we start to think about Saturday's crucial match with Queens Park, remember this meeting is on before it, at 1200 at the Caley Club. Full details are in the first message in this thread and all fans are welcome.

  9. It’s a different D Mackay.
  10. Not heard anything recently but it was said to be for the full season after it happened.
  11. Dan Mackay for Livingston tonight.
  12. That will leave us with no obvious fit left back / left wing back unless one of the recent additions can play there. Longstaff played there in the cup game but it didn’t seem his natural position.
  13. Alex Samuel named as Star Man in the SPFL Team of the Week: https://spfl.co.uk/news/team-of-the-week-49737
  14. Noted this weekend were Tobi Sho-Silva for Maidenhead, George Oakley for Morton, Nathan Austin for East Fife and Ali Sutherland for Brora. Elsewhere Sean Welsh was sent off for Queens Park, Ross Tokely was sent off for Nairn, and Andrew Shinnie missed his second penalty in two weeks for Livingston.
  15. Nathan Shaw made the pass for the first goal.
  16. Three good goals by Samuel. For Raith’s first, Ridgers looked to be blocked as well as Devine being pushed. A good highlights package by Raith.
  17. Looking at the table, we need to improve our home form. We have 9 points from 10 home games: only Arbroath have taken fewer. Conversely we have 15 points from 12 away games: only Dundee United, Raith Rovers and Partick Thistle have taken more. Our next two league games are at home against Queens Park and Partick Thistle so it’s time to start winning at home.
  18. Just a reminder about the meeting at 1200 in the Caley Club next Saturday (3 February), with Scott Young, one of the club’s Directors attending to answer questions from fans. Full details are at the top of this thread and all fans are welcome.

  20. Hopefully you have some faith now after getting all three points today.
  21. A bit of breathing space with Queens Park and Arbroath both losing. We need to build on this and beat Queens Park next week now. Well done to the team, particularly Samuel. Looking forward to feedback from those at the game.
  22. Duffy and Brooks on late on for Chilokola-Mullen and Mckay. In stoppage time…… Ridgers booked: time wasting?
