v Cove at home Nov2025
If praising the team for getting us in the position we are currently in makes me a happy clapper then so be it. I don’t rustle sweeties though 😂😂

v Cove at home Nov2025
That’s why we love this game and it’s good that we all have different perspectives. The priority undoubtedly is promotion, however we achieve it. I’m glad we are trying to win games rather than trying not to lose them and, in doing so, we’ve scored in every league game this season so far There will be hiccups along the way, it’s how we bounce back from them that matters. Maybe my glass is half fuller than some others but I’m enjoying this season 😂😂

It’s still a good achievement and it’s actually 9 clean sheets as I forgot to count yesterday’s game. In two of the four games games we conceded in, we lost goals whilst trying to win the game (against Stenhousemuir when we got caught on the break when trying to find a winner) and Hamilton (when we were trying to get back to 2-2). I’m not saying we are perfect by any means, just that we are much better than we were not much over a year ago, and our expectations have risen as a result.

v Cove at home Nov2025
I think a lot of posts in recent matchday threads highlight how far we have come and how high our expectations now are. We’ve enjoyed the much more positive approach we now take to games and winning the majority of them. That has led us to expect to see good football and plenty goals as we get wins, and we are now disappointed if we can only grind out a 1-0 win. We are in a good place and I do believe the goals will start coming again in league games but I’d highlight our goalkeeper and defence as we’ve only conceded 8 goals in 13 league games, and we’ve kept 8 clean sheets. That is quite an achievement.

This season is all about getting promotion. We are getting results and that is what matters, even if it is a tough watch and we fail to put teams away. We dominated the first half and should have put the game to bed but we only had Robertson’s goal. Cove came at us after the break and we got penned in a bit but the substitutions put us back on the front foot eventually. At the end of the day, not the best game. We should have done better, but we got the result. Job done.

Alloa (A) Rescheduled
Whilst it’s frustrating, Alloa are within their rights to get the game rescheduled. With the number of players involved, it was always going to be granted by the SPFL and our club had no say in the matter.

Alloa (A) Rescheduled
I don’t get to many away games but had a weekend away built round the game at Alloa on the 15th, only to learn now that it’s been moved to the 25th at Alloa’s request due to international call ups. I’m one unhappy fan tonight!

ICT v Montrose Oct2025
Those highlights made us look better than I thought we were!

ICT v Montrose Oct2025
That’s bad news as Billy has been having a good season. I hope it’s not as bad as is feared and he recovers quickly and fully. However, Zimba is showing he has an eye for goal, and this could be the chance for Bavidge to be as influential as we all expected him to be. It’s time for the depth of the squad to prove its worth!

ICT v Montrose Oct2025
From where I was, I’d say two, maybe three, of their ‘keepers saves were very good. Equally, Munro did well several times to keep them out.

ICT v Montrose Oct2025
That was a hard watch. We rattled the woodwork in the first half and their keeper had several good saves. I thought the early goal after half time would galvanise us but we stopped playing and invited Montrose onto us and we could easily have ended up drawing. Our pitch is normally excellent but I lost count of how many times our players slipped (Montrose players didn’t seem to) and that could easily have cost us dearly. Our passing was very slack at times. At half time, I thought MacKinnon, Sole and Macleod were our best players but the first two were hooked early in the second half. I assume MacKinnon is being protected after his injury, whilst Sole was out doing exercises at half time so presumably had picked up a knock. Allan was the stand out in the second half with Zimba taking his goal well and Munro having some decent saves. In previous seasons we’d probably not have seen the game out, but we should not have had the tense ending we had, and it was self inflicted. But let’s remember that we got the job done and are top of the league so let’s put a poor performance behind us and enjoy where we are!

2025/26 Squad
Two loans today: Matthew Strachan to Brora and Ben Gardiner to Clach, both until January.

Scottish Cup 3rd Rnd Draw
The tv game is Linlithgow v Queens Park so presumably no reason why our game won’t be on the Saturday at 1500.

Scottish Cup 3rd Rnd Draw
A 1 in 39 chance but I’d love to see us drawn to play Clach.

Peterhead Away Oct2025
Back to winning ways! Sounds like horrible conditions so well done to the team for getting the result.

Peterhead Away Oct2025
I’m not there but seems we’d the wind advantage in the first half and couldn’t take advantage of it, so we could be up against it after the break.

Peterhead Away Oct2025
Interesting starting line up. Back 3 or Savage at left back?
-
Peterhead Away Oct2025
Peterhead’s home league form is very good, with 13 points out of 15 and 14 goals scored in those 5 games. But our away form is good too, apart from the slip up at Hamilton. It promises to be a good game, hopefully not spoilt by the wind. It will also be a tough game, but it’s one we shouldn’t fear and we need to go all out for the win to get our challenge back on track.

Peterhead Away Oct2025
Delighted to see that. Serves them right after being let off so lightly by the SPFL suits for all their cheating.

2025/26 Squad
Ben Corner has agreed to extend his contract to the end of the season and has joined Clach on loan until January. Any word on how Jake Davidson’s recovery is going as his contract expires in January as things stand?

Accies away Oct2025
I thought awarding a 3-0 win to their opponent in each game that they broke the rules would have been a fair penalty.

Hamilton - 6
Seems a low penalty for what they’ve done: https://spfl.co.uk/news/spfl-statement-hamilton-academical-50858

Kelty Hearts @ Home Oct2025
We shot ourselves in the foot today by starting slowly and gifting two goals to Kelty. I was in line with the first and am convinced it was onside. For the penalty, Chalmers confirmed in Bar 94 after the game that he did make contact with the Kelty player although he felt it was soft: if it was at the other end we’d have been yelling for it but it was needless as the player was heading away from goal. Both our goals were excellent. Devine said in Bar 94 that Mckay gets the credit for the first goal as it’s a move he’d developed for them in training. Wotherspoon’s cross for the second was perfect. On the day, we just weren’t good enough to overcome the head start we gave Kelty and, whilst their time wasting and general antics were frustrating, the onus was on us to break them down and we failed to do so. As Devine said afterwards, we need to start games better and that will be the focus before the next game. A disappointing afternoon that we need to bounce back from.
