  1. What's up with Fisher? Not much cover at the back today then, better hope noone gets injured. Hopefully Richie gives Sutherland a chance over Boden, but I won't bet my house on it
  2. Seen this quote from Richie post game "We scored against the run of play. Nearly all over the park we were second best. Aberdeen were the better team, they had more quality, they played us off the park at times. We were poor, Aberdeen were very good. "We didn't deserve to go one up, simple as that. It's a good ball in for the goal and a good finish. Big Lons (Lonsana Doumbouya) was good, he was probably our only decent performance. Everyone else was second best. "It's one of our poorest performances of the season. We lacked belief which was strange. "Greg Tansey and Liam Polworth, even if things aren't going well for us, will keep the ball well. But if I'm doing my job right and having players who can come in like for like, then I shouldn't be looking for them excuses and I'm not looking for them excuses. "I've got to take some of the blame. Overall we weren't good enough today, including me." See this kinda thing really pisses me off, it's one thing if were getting beaten trying but why do we need to underperform in so many games. It's not like we CANT do it, we've shown we can.. So what's the problem? Too much time off, too much nights out on the ****, no desire to progress? If we're not careful we'll be firmly rooted to the bottom by Christmas
  3. I for one completely agree with you there. Any of the players who haven't been performing under Foran have been dropped even just for a game, but Tansey hasn't once and his form has been below par, to say the least. It'll be interesting to see who replaces him this weekend with him being suspended, and whether they can do well enough to give Foran options in the next match. I personally think Tanseys hearts not in it any more, for whatever reason and he's not showing that level of determination and commitment he once was
  4. Really frustrates me when I see theres a new reply to the various threads in here, and hoping its a relevant or interesting development regarding the team or the club I click on the link only to find the usual suspects posting one or a few words in a continuous ongoing banter between themselves. If you want to amuse each other on a regular basis, may I suggest instant messenger?
  5. That's what you call dedication
  6. Oops of course
  7. Nice one Kenny Camerons learnt how to clone players
  8. For me Fonners Mckay, meekings, warren, Tremarco Draper Tansey Mulraney Doran King Fisher
  9. Definitely Fisher for me, he's come a long way since his injury and he looks much more in control of the ball and his work rate and effort is immense. To have to chose between this 2 only is disappointing however, neither of them are what you'd call quick nimble or nippy, we still crave that sharp dart upfront who makes something out of nothing and can break away from the back and not be caught until the balls in the goal. Fisher can't manage that, Doumbouya certainly won't and Boden seems to have been shackled in a cupboard somewhere... So basically now our only hope at a goal will come from a set piece, a penalty, a tussle in the box or a high ball. I would really like to see Alistair Sutherland given a chance in one of the games, his pace is immense and he could IMO be that quick and nimble prolific goal threat that we need right now
  10. Overall, it was not the worst night performance wise, typically Rangers looked to have upped their game both Defensively and Attacking which wasn't ideal for us. Watched the highlights back tonight, didn't see at the time just how open Doumbouya was and to be honest that should have been either in the back of the net or at the very worst saved by Foderingham. That could have altered the whole dynamic of the game at that point. This I feel is where once again, we are struggling, a confident clear cut striker. I genuinely don't believe that Doumbouya is what we have to rely on, he's not quick or nimble enough and although good at winning the ball in the air he's clearly not yet up to speed confidence wise. Fisher would appear to be the better of the 2, but frustratingly it was always Boden that "looked" the part of the goalscorer, smaller, quicker and potentially direct. In reality he's been none of these, and even watching him in warm up before the game, he's got the look of a player on his way out the door. I cant see him ever being the player I hoped he would be. As others have said, Doran and Mulraney changed the pace of the game and I really hope both get a start against Kilmarnock. Vigurs seems to pick and choose when to perform and frankly is really starting to annoy me. Rangers looked a decent side on Friday, but I really feel we made them look a lot better than they actually were and could and should have hurt them more than we did. Once again it was left far too late to mount a credible attack, and if only we'd stamped our authority on them earlier in the first half, we could have given ourselves a real fighting chance at taking the lead
  11. It was terribly quiet, embarrassingly so at times. Even when the penalty was given, and confirmed there was still very little reaction from any stand... Even the goals got a very short and subdued cheer. Even the drumming choir at the front of row E were forlorn looking and resoundly silent until the 3rd goal was scored and even then it was again very reserved. I found it all very bizarre and at one point during the game it was that quiet I could even hear the "squeak squeak" from one of the gates at the North stand entrance! Given the attendance was semi decent, made it to me feel overall at HT like we were actually losing! Very strange atmosphere
  12. If Dundee had been more clinical in front of goal today they may have got something out of it, and it wouldn't have been on their merit, but on us allowing them far too much free play. I had hoped and expected Polworth to be dropped today after the last few performances but I felt today he was trying hard to redeem himself. All in all a decent performance, some real sharpness missing from all today but for me the standouts were Mckay and the usual suspects (Tremarco and Warren). Thought Fonners had another stand out performance too, and really looks consistent now. 3 expected points at Accies and we are right amongst the pigeons
  13. He must have known what he was in for, he only had to ask his old fella for first hand experience! It was always going to be an exciting "not to miss out on" opportunity for him going to Celtic, moving to Glasgow and taking that next step, but it was always inevitably going to end up with him warming the bench up for the majority of the coming seasons. He would have been better staying at ICT, at least for another season, get more starting games under his belt, build up his fitness and strength and then let the clubs come calling, which they would have done again. He should come back to us under loan
  14. He definitely could have avoided any ambiguity by taking the shot before moving right into the path of the celtic defence, it was just getting too late and if he hadn't been brought down I think he may have lost his shooting chance. A big opportunity but perhaps somewhat over thought in the end
  15. I'd go with that, would prob like to see Mulraney involved in that somewhere though, maybe in for Doran initially not sure he's fully ready to start a game
  16. I generally have a lot of respect for the young guys and the atmosphere they bring to the games. I for one salute you when your all in fine voice and drumming and I really feel its something that was lacking from the games previously, however I was at the Aberdeen game and there was a small minority of the group at the front who were giving the fingers and W*nkers motions to the Dons fans on both sides, as well as shouting obscenities and behaving in a threatening manner. To me, that does NOT justify creating an atmosphere, that is purely thuggish behaviour which does nothing to promote the team they are supposedly there to support. Most of the guys I seen, and a few of them I was getting a good laugh with on way home, were very well behaved. There is no excuse to act in a threatening manner towards opposing fans in the name of support. Also on the way out, the ones who decided it would be a good show of support to overthrow the barriers did nothing but create fear and alarm to the CALEY fans given where we all were, and I've got to be frank here, I was with my 7 year old son, and one of these boys threw a barrier just in front of us, and I swear, if that had hit my son, the boy responsible would have gone home with a very sore face
  17. I'm actually quite optimistic that we could have half a chance here, as long as we play like we have at the back and have more pace and belief up front and play Doumbouya or Sutherland (doubtful) up front instead of Fisher. Its sensible to think that Celtic will come ready to make amends and justify their position in the league, however they may not be in a physical or mental position to have any influence on that. Its going to have been a terribly long draining week for them all, now made all the harder by having to make that nightmare journey up the heavily congested and slow A9 late on Sunday, to play a team I'm sure by their admissions they could see far enough after the midweek falterings. If we play our game smart, keep it tight at the back, and sharpen up the balls into the box plus getting Mulraney back onto the wings, and take the chances that we create for ourselves....I genuinely see no reason why we cant provide the weekends biggest football shock headlines. I think we also need to drop Polworth for this game, and go back to playing King and Mulraney on the wings with Draper and Tansey in the middle, with Vigurs behind the striker. MacKay also needs to start again, thought he was great on Saturday.
  18. These "boys" and they were boys, were absolutely steaming. Whatever it was they got hauled out for initially they were standing beside me trying to argue their case to the stewards but barely able to slur 2 words together. Obviously that can of shandy on train across, played havoc with their cerebral capacity and ability to act like a civilised sensible ICT supporter. One of them on the way out was very fortunate not to get a sore face from me for throwing a barrier very close to where my 7 year old was walking
  19. Tansey actually showed a big improvement today, fought for the ball and played some really clever link up play.... Polworth was pretty poor, very clumsy and slow to make decisions resulting in loss of possession far too often. His shot at goal, albeit a fluke to fall to him where it did should have been dealt with better than it was, given the time he had
  20. I spoke to the staff outside JD today apparently the stock is lying in a warehouse in Manchester and it seems no matter what the issues with haulage etc no one seems interested to basically just get a van hired and just get the stuff up the road! The girls assured me though the stuff would definitely all be in today and by latest tomorrow, we shall see
  21. I went to watch the first half with my son, and as much as I like to reserve judgement on the Dev squad, the stand outs for me were Doumbouya, who I thought looked good with the ball, quick and willing to chase it down and Ali Sutherland who to me deserves his spot in the first team as soon as possible. Cole (im assuming it was him in MF number 7) looked ok in flashes, but a little slow to react, hopefully this will improve with game time. Boden once again, to me looked very slow to react and with no real threat on goal. He had one header on target, but im pretty sure my 7 year old could have got a hand to it. Sloppy at the back, and slow to react to dispossession. Really feeling that Boden as our out and out Striker is looking a bit out of his depth at the moment, and RF is going to have to make a few changes at the front to start taking these chances
  22. They were! They obviously changed it.... I actually emailed them to advise the error
  23. http://www.inverness-courier.co.uk/Sport/Football/Richie-Foran-eyes-goal-return-from-new-Caley-Thistle-man-Larnell-Cole-01092016.htm Hahah, Courier reporting that Larnell is Andys son
  24. This is what I got from JD last night, looking like they actually want everyone to claim their refund, dosent look good at all
  25. What a farce, is this to say we simply aren't getting a strip at all now?
