  1. balanced game now, imrie getting the better of shinnie occasionally. but were still pushing forward and creating some chances by the sounds of things nick ross playing really well. shinnie just got booked for a late on on imrie.
  2. anyone else not getting the BBC coverage????
  3. 01 Esson 03 Tokely 14 Munro 15 Innes 21 Shinnie * 04 Duff 19 Ross 07 Odhiambo 23 Sanchez 09 Foran 10 Rooney From the BBC website. guessing at the formation with what i'd go for.
  4. does rooney still have our contract offer on the table?? or has that well and truly flown? dream big, he'll stay, sign the new contract and be the leagues top scorer by May
  5. Duncan and Sanchez HAVE to be in for me. Esson Duff Rosco Munro Shinnie Duncan Cox Sutherland/Hayes Sanchez Foran Rooney Not that Ross has done anything wrong, quite the opposite, but just feel maybe a rest is in order. If Hayes makes it he is in as well, else go for Sutherland, he looks busy and works through players.
  6. yeah always thought he deserved more of a chance than he got after injury. i guess being young and inexperienced in a relegation dogfight was just unfortunate timing. would def welcome him back as young gun back up for our stalwart duo.
  7. no. a supporter is a supporter. if you come to a game you deserve nothing but praise in my book. regardless of whether you sing/sit/stand/dance/take your shoes off/sweetie rustle/conga etc etc. we go to games to support our team i care not whether you do it at home or away or both. obviously at home you give your money directly to the club, but some of us just can't get to inverness for games and some of us just can't get out of inverness for games. judgements about how loyal one fan is compared to another are a waste of time in my book. either way, come on the mighty caley, terry and mo will turn this little slump around and we'll be flying again
  8. could really be doing with a goal real soon!!! feeling edgy here.
  9. dundee utd def. a stupendous unexpected win. with a few screamers stuck into the mix as well.
  10. phew we got away with that. second half was one way traffic but we defended well and they were limited to long range shots for a lot of it. admittedly going very close on a number of occasions. but we held on and even had the chance to sneak a winner. shame it was at russell's feet really. will take the point though. black got man of the match for them. was good to see him leaving the field with a caley top on thought munro was our MoM, steady as a rock and a goal as well, thought him and tokely coped with the elephant man that is kyle as well as could be expected. he bullied them a bit but in the end he only scored from the spot. incidentally it was def a penalty. esson had to go for it but the striker got there first. meh. hayes was as bad as i think any of us have seen him. wrong boots i think and just couldn't get to grips with the ball. he'll be back. three draws in a row against the three teams above us. shall not complain. heres hoping back to winning ways against the midden next week. looking back in the league we ain't entirely clear or free given the games in hand of the teams below us, but with 27 points for half a season. more than happy.
  11. as a question who is my favourite player.... gotta be munro or tokely really. fantastic players we do have in the irish trio, duncan, ross you name it. but those two have been at the club for ever and show no signs of wanting to go elsewhere (well occasionally rosco has had different ambitions). and that what i like about them loyal servants who give their all for the team. maybe not the most skillful or best centre backs in the league but by god i am glad to have them. especially this season. so long may they continue and long may the fun and run continue.
  12. figured there would be no change myself. but as i said have to alleviate the tension somehow. its that or study
  13. its a little close to the time and i'm pretty sure the team will be the same as against celtic but in the spirit of...... well something to read and alleviating the stress till kick off, i'd go with. Esson Duff Tokely Munro Shinnie Cox Duncan Hayes Ross Foran Rooney
  14. anyone know whats gonna be in the video section?? weekly highlights similar to those on the website at present? or historic encounters available for purchase? just when you go to sign up to look at it it asks you to input card details etc so that would alude to something you had to pay for????
  15. think the refs are quite right to strike. the abuse is getting ridiculous and someone should really tell the entire team and celtic, from the chairman to the players, to shut up and get on with it. I don't see anyone yapping on about whether neil lennon is fit to do his job after getting a couple decisions (team for hearts etc etc... he has said it himself) wrong.... anyways. its a little dissapointing we won't be able to get the year properly however, something in me relishes the prospect of a postponed game having to be replayed mid week at a wintery parkhead i dunno might just be clinging to false hopes there. although i do remember all to vividly the last mid-week trip we made to parkhead either way
  16. think shinnie did alright in those games. the well winger murphy(?) has tore most left backs apart this week, including destroying whoever played for st J in the position. and as much as it hurts to say it imrie was not and is not a bad wee player. so both tough assignments. recalling back to rangers and kilmarnock shinnie was brilliant. so untill gillet is fit again, and possibly beyond, shinnie is my first choice at left back. even ahead of cox :) that in mind, i'd go. esson duff tokely munro shinnie cox duncan hayes odi ross rooney
  17. in my irresponsible and naive youth i was a rangers fan, (my gran bought me a top one year). caley were a 3rd/2nd division team at the time and were my main team but i still followed rangers a lot, only went to a couple games. but i grew wiser and less delinquent like around thw age of 16 and binned the gers top to be replaced by numerous caley tops. would never could never go back, having lived in glasgow for 7 years i hate what the old firm stand for and pettyness that goes with it. there is only one team for me now. wooof, took a lot to admit to that  glad its out there.
  18. where has gary mackay-steven ended up??? i know it was mentioned a lot at the end of the summer, and i think he was offered a contract (pay as you play?). if he is injury free i see no problem in taking a six month look at him again?
  19. esson duff tokely munro shinnie cox ross hayes odi foran rooney subs: tuffey, mccann, morrison, mcbain, golly, sanchez, sutherland think duff is a better right back than mccann at the moment so i'd have him back there. and get foran back to where he played so well last year. and he can maybe help shinnie out a little with hasselbank. thought ross played really well in the middle so get him in there with cox for a bit of muscle. maybe even morrison in the middle instead of cox. does anyone know where ross and morrison played in the youth team? how does it correspond to now?
  20. maybe if we invented a nickname for him, the song suggestions would be more forthcoming. failing that, use the old song for charlie christie theres only one granty munro theres only one granty munro walking along singing a song walking in a granty wonder land okay granty in the last line sucks but hey
  21. Agreed, real good header yesterday. fantastic performances in recent weeks. some particularly great tackles at kilmarnock and elsewhere. also really good to hear the crowd singin his name, should probably get more, if only his name was as catchy as roscoe's all this and a wee girl in the last few weeks. legend
  22. p and j clicky seems to say he is out for two matches. it doesn't actually say on the website but i presume it is terry's column??? not good at all, personally think he is key to us. dunno how or why but it just works better with him in the team.
  23. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/scotland/9160886.stm on the BBC website, makes good listening. nice the way he mentions the team, and a good heart in the club. enough to make you feel warm and fuzzy inside. on the refs thing, the interviewer seems determined to get him to say something controversial or get all animated about something. interesting he doesn't think weir on foran was a penalty, favourite quote though 'its swings and round abouts, you've just got to get on with your jobs' if only there were a few more folk in scottish football with this attitude. not looking in celtic's direction at all here
