  1. That's a very interesting question indeed. We all have our opinions on offenders and giving folk a 'second chance' but when it comes to someone who has caused ABH or death then, personally, I find it hard to agree. It would appear that footballers can have a second chance of employment even with a criminal record. I doubt you'd get that in many other jobs out there. Take Lee Hughes for example, his drunk driving caused the death of an elderly chap (crash happened only a few miles from where I live) and his family have never really come to terms with their loss and have to read about Hughes playing football and earning a good wage. Yes, he did his time and all that but it must still hurt the victims families etc. At the end of the day these offenders know exactly what they are doing and are (allegedly) intelligent enough to know right from wrong, so, if they over step the mark they should accept what comes to them even if it means bringing their career to an end.
  2. Watch th six o'clock news tonight What time is that on?

Hmm, what sort of magazines does he read? Not sure where it came from...probably sent to me in an email a while back. Dunno

There's a long calm before the storm....hope its worth the wait..
  5. How great to see AFC Wimbledon make it into the Football League after only nine years. A team formed in a pub when their 'original' team (Wimbledon..now know as Milton Keynes Dons) where ousted from the Plough Lane ground. I look forward to the day that the two teams meet in league or cup action. A great story for football supporters everywhere and a great example to show what can actually be done. Fan power rules.
  6. Its rumoured down here that it will be Fulham.
  7. I'll go...think I'll walk there after the Hibs game.
  8. You'll have to walk back. Engineering Works
  9. That would have been a nice trip for me from Coventry Nil but I'll on holiday in Welsh Wales...I'll have the motorbike with me though.
  10. Gringo replied to big man's topic in Caley Thistle
I wasn't at the game so can't really comment on the ref's overall performance but why was McCourt booked for simulation and why wasn't Lennon spoken to for his disgusting act of dissent? Would Rooney or Butcher have got away with it?
  11. Maybe they should have called it off then...
  12. I wasn't that aware England had a heart. It does...it's just that many don't know how to use it!
  13. I reckon they should do a tour of the Heart of England...you Highlanders have all the fun.
  14. I remember a while back a Scottish Sunday newspaper produced an SPL league and results based only on goals scored by British players (or it may have just been Scots, I'm unsure) but, ICT were top of the league on quite a few occasions. As for not attending any of OF games it will never work and our club, that we 'support', would lose out financially which isn't an entirely brilliant idea.

I would imagine they'd pick up anywhere en route as long as you get to the A96. Book your seat on the bus by phone or text to 0751 976 3507. The last time I was at Dons you had to buy your ticket at the ticket office as the gates are all bar coded now.
  16. The 'Highland Marchers' will be around to sign autographs too.
  17. Don't be silly GDM, when have ever considered the fans?
  18. Don't think it is asking a bit much, the only reason it can't be done is because the fixture card is dominated by the needs of the OF. 'Difficult job' - my erse...as Don quite rightly says, its look after the OF and sod the rest. That's the SPL policy.
  19. It just goes to prove (as if any proof was needed) that the SPL do NOT want Inverness in their league. Last game of the season and forcing everyone to travel all the way back up the road to end of season parties is just a joke. Why the hell couldn't they have given us Aberdeen or St Johnstone? Its not as if its a relegation decider at Hamilton is it. Goodness knows what TB thinks of it. SPL - you are a joke.
  20. Changed my mind...I think Raith would be better.
  21. If we play each of the five in a 'logical' and equal Home and Away set up then is should be Hamilton - Away Hibs - Home St Mirren - Home Aberdeen - Away St Johnston - Away Not forgetting the outstanding Celtic at Home game as well of course. The order of the above is up to the SPL but the Highland Marchers would be very pleased to avoid Hamilton.
  22. Pars for me on the basis of the way they looked after the Highland Marchers a few years. Its also easier to access by rail, the pies are better and its Buffy's team.
  23. I can remember the time that we didn't do 0-0's...but that's progress I suppose
  24. Fair comment...but is that just a sad reflection on the SPL or a chairman facing the reality that his team are never going to in a position to compete in this league?
  25. Rangers could go bust... http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/12932160.stm
