ICT -V- Ross County : matchnight thread
Finally back home. Absolutely great game and well worth the horrendous train journey's up and back. Sending off was wrong. Very bad decision there though I dont think the result would have been any different had they kept eleven on the park. We made sure we won the game in the first half and easilly soaked up what little they could fire at us in the second. For once the luck went our way and other results made it a great night.

Most improved player
I'm not sure we have a 'most improved player'. I'm more inclined to think we have a team of players who have finally learned each other and are now puting that learning into the game.

GOAL DIFFERENCE
C'mon Kingsmills, you have to admit Alan could get the crowd going in a way that many have tried since and failed.

Away strip next season
I've been known to wear one with Inverness Medical on it. As CD says, transfer is a very bad idea. Moreso as Flybe had a number of colours in its logo that may still show through. Anyway we haven't got a new sponsor so dont worry.

County at Hampden
If we assume that around 10-12% of any population support their local football team then 600 would be more like it. I do think they'll muster up around 6000. Neutrals love to go and witness the underdogs do well and half the Glasgow football loving population would love to witness Celtic get stuffed. 13,255 attended our semi v Dunfermline in 04 and 5728 went to the replay at the Pitt

Promotion...all it's cracked up to be?
Well if we forget all Terry's other jobs and look only to Motherwell then maybe a repeat of that is on the cards. Motherwell were in dire straights when Tel was brought in. Bottom half SPL. Financial troubles. Made redundant a large number of high earning players. Brought in a number of youngsters, including a couple of excellent finds in Stephen Pearson and James McFadden and not forgetting Richie Foran. They should have been relegated in his first season but were saved by a technicality. Motherwell were then able to turn around their financial woes and to finish in the top half of SPL for the following two seasons. There are many similarities between now and his time at Motherwell. Though they didn't spend a season in Div 1. Can he do it all again for us. I think he can. He's already shown he can find quality players on the cheap.

15 points from 21?
County have 4 games in 8 days. Sat 24th home to Partick. Mon 26th home to Morton. Wed 28th away to Ayr. Sat 1st away to Raith. I think that will take a lot out of them and they'll drop a few points. Think thats also the reason for their odds at the bookies. Also with Ayr, Morton and Raith fighting to avoid playoffs I dont think any games will be easy for any of us.

15 points from 21?
Dundee's away form hasn't been good so I expect them to drop at least two on tuesday.

Attendance on Tuesday?
I'd say we'd be lucky to get 5000. Many fans of both sides travel long distances and wont be able to do so on a week night.

media coverage on Tuesday
No their not. Not sure if that was a really bad joke by you or if you were being serious Apologies, misread the ad. They are showing the match at 10pm. They have a big advert on the front page of the Perthshire Advertiser.

Is it sad to go to a game yourself?
Get yoursel to the Innes pre-match. Meet an array of fine upstanding citizens. Age range from 18 to 80 (TM4TJ) Regulars include the aforementioned + Caley100, Big Stu, Papalazaroo and better half, The family L_G, Billy Fish, sometimes the Pauliebee's, the Gringo's and, infrequently over the last few months, the life and soul of any fanbase.............me. (with one e) ps. I never knew any of them prior to 2003 but ICT and this website have introduced us.
