What the feck has happened
First off Johndo, I think the Mountie went of his own fruition in order to secure his international status. Second, I think Gollie is going to be the new messiah. Dont know where it all leaves Lionel though. Third, there are people who'll moan about TB just because he likes red wine.

Oops!!! Sorry! I hadn't realised that 'Your a joke Renegade' did not constitute personal abuse. If your going to dish it out then learn to take it as well.

cmon the diamonds
Now now my son. we in Perth can distinguish between the alcie's, junkies etc. Unlike Airdrie where everyone is an alcoholic junkie or an unmarried mother of 15. But still...........why was the Airdrie shirt design taken from the Clydebank crest.

Ball Control
And your just a silly wee boy who needs to start growing up instead of jumping on someone elses bandwagon to put down someone who started this thread with a very valid point worthy of discussion.

Support as a % of population
Within the city of Glasgow there are about 570,000. Briing in Bearsden, Milngavie, Rutherglen etc and its nearer 1 million.
-
Support as a % of population
The OF influence affects attendances of every team. More especially the Highlands and Glasgow/Greenock/Paisley area's. Not sure how you arrived at your DU figure considering there are two teams in that city. Falkirk is the senior team for Falkirk District, which takes in Grangemouth, Bonnybridge, Larbert, Shieldhill, Slamannan, Bo'ness, Linlithgow etc, and so all these well populated places must be included in any table. We are lucky in that our average support appears to be unaffected by the drop but I believe if roles were reversed and County went to SPL with us still in Div 1 they would gain a fair whack of our support. Examples of this could always be seen when RC play at home and we are away. Many so called ICT fans, many who even post hatred for RC, can be seen among the Dingwall home support at these times.

Support as a % of population
I think your figures for Falkirk are very false. They take support from the whole district, including Grangemouth and the district population is nearer 105,000

Lads going out on loan
We have a number of U-19's who dont feature in the first team but are being retained and trained. It could be any of those that are hinted at. I also think the idea of puting some out on loan is maybe to free up some cash to take in a loan player. As for LDZ, he is still needed for cover if injury were to befall Gollie.

who do you hate the most
And the song for saturday: Are you Clydebank in disguise...............................

who do you hate the most
Sadly for us Falkirk are an SPL club :cute01: Got to say I hate Airdrie and their scumbag bully boy fans , erseholes to a man . Explain if you can why our supporters are bullies please  Perhaps DalneighCaley's choice of word wasn't the best. Maybe not bullies but scumbags never the less. They come to games waving union flags and chanting from the Ibrox book of vitriol. they have no history of their own. They follow behind the banner of a big Glasgow club. Need I go on. Hey this is the sort of banter I miss :D

who do you hate the most
Nice of you to join us Mr Airdrie. Hate is too strong a word to describe a less than fondness for certain opposition teams. After all would it be right for me to say I hate all fans of a certain central belt club just because some of them felt the need to sing sectarian songs during a Bells cup final against Inverness. One that Inverness won incidently . Despise them maybe, hate them no.

Changes
I believe, what we need is three top leagues of 16, 16 and 12 plus 3 feeder leagues. East Scotland, West Scotland and North Scotland. Scrap the SPL and SFL and have the SFA as the controlling body for all Scottish football. Bottom team in each of the top two leagues goes down. Top team in leagues 2 and 3 go up. 15 and 14 places from league 1 play off against 2nd and 3rd from league 2 for spot in top league. Same format for next two leagues. Bottom of league 3 play off with winners from each feeder league for place in league 3. Nothing like that will ever happen though due to one or two very greedy people.

Looking Outside The Box....(merged)
The Faroes, though still part of Denmark, are an autonomus entity without EU membership. Therefore they can make their own immigration rules. I believe, however, that most Faroe footballers are part time. As most of the younger generation leave the islands to further their education and a fair few of those dont return when they've experienced the rest of the world it is necessary to bring in people to do a lot of the work. Fishing and fish farming are the mainstay of the economy. There is also quite a bit of oil exploration going on so foriegn expertise is a necessity. What better an idea than to bring workers who can also play football. I think I'm right in saying the rules of imported players are not so much to do with the EU as they are to do with individual associations and in this country with the SPL. There are a lot of players from Africa and S. America in the english leagues. Many of them are not Internationalists. I seem to remember Jason Scotland, when he was at Dundee, having his permit extension veto'ed by the SPL as he hadn't enough International appearances then the next season he signs for St. Johnstone without problem. I would wager that many teams would 'look outside the box' for cheap foriegn players but because of stupid rules made by our governing bodies the hassle is too great. The whole of Scottish football needs a good shake up. Those in charge, who incidently are blinkered to anything outside the glasgow twosome, need ousted and people with the game at heart need to be brought in to save it.

North of Scotland Cup Final
The team were: Allison J.Sutherland, Proctor, Djebi-Zadi, Shinnie Ross, Morrison, MacAskill, McBain Rooney, S. Sutherland Subs: Park, Polworth, Fraser, Laing, Kinnaird. Well done to Jack Sutherland who made his senior debut at age 16.

What would be your preference?
League is the bread and butter but good cup runs, especially Scottish, bring in much needed revenue to support the league campaign. Its also nice to have trophies in the cabinet. My preference is to win each and every game, no matter the competition.

Injury Update
What was the plaster supporting on Imrie? He never broke any bones well not that i know off. Thought you only got a plaster if your broke a bone or something As well as acting as a splint for broken bone plaster is used to immobilise joints where there is serious tendon or muscle damage. Cox had his cut hand in plaster. Dougie his damaged knee. Stops the joint being moved therefore protecting the healing tissue.

Scotland
As others have said, a radical change is needed in Scottish Football and that should begin at the very top of the 'Association'. Its easy to jump on Burley and probably sack him but in all honesty I dont believe there's anyone who could do better with the current crop of players. We have to take a leaf out of the Dutch book and get our coaching strategies up to standard. Kids should be learning ball skills and tactics. No child under twelve should have to play games on a full size pitch. More 5, 6 and 7 aside games should be encouraged. These are the games that develop skills. Thats the Dutch philosophy and it produces far superior players to ours.

Message to the Grant Munro haters
Grant Munro will always be as good as those around him no matter what league he's in.
-
Dilemma for Butcher
Scotland are not out of this tournament yet and if they were to qualify its George and Terry who would take them to S. Africa. I dont believe there is a dilemma for Butcher. He has a very capable team who can work without him for a week and in this day of electronic communications technology he wont really be that far away.

Scotland squad vs Macedonia
Yep I just went over that again. I think Hungary, Greece and N.Ireland could come into the reckoning but it'll be very tight and we really need to win.
-
Scotland squad vs Macedonia
As things stand at the moment a win against Holland wont be enough to get us a play-off place. The only other runners up we can catch are in groups 1 and 2. Greece and Hungary are both on 13 points with 3 games to play and even if they lose all there games they have better goal difference. http://www.fifa.com/worldcup/preliminaries...ings/index.html Sorry, just re-read the criteria for play-offs and looked at tables again and its too complicated to work out.

Message to the Grant Munro haters
I think Grant lost a little when he lost Dods. Bulvitus looks capable and seems to be forming a partnership with Grant now. And with Rossco and Gollie in the back line I think we'll begin now to see the real Grant Munro. He'll begin to trust his back line and be able to concentrate on his own job.
