Think you'll find that a player only becomes cup tied if he plays in the competition. Any players playing on saturday will have to be registered before they can play though. So yes they would need to be signed by friday. Any we sign after that can play in future rounds provided they hadn't played in the competition for another team.

Trialists...
One of the problems with the english language is that too many words have too many different meanings, some of which not everybody will know. He hails from Dublin, you hail from Dornoch. A whisper suggests that Sanchez has gone home to look at whats on offer from a spanish club before deciding where he wants to play. I understand he has enjoyed his time here and Butcher would like to sign him but he's being fair to himself and to the other club involved. We may see him back here. I remember the old days when you had goalkeeper wingbacks, half backs and full backs. You had left and right wingers. You had wing forwards full forwards and centre forwards. Formation along the lines of GK FB RWB.............................LWB HB RW...........................LW RWF.......CF.......LWF FF What you see there would be pretty much a modern 4-3-3 formation.

The ones that got away?
Trialists will come and trialists will go. Some are no better than what we have already. Some will just price themselves out of our reach. Thats football. The important thing is that there are players from all over the country and beyond who are prepared to give up their time to come for a trial. If two dozen come through the gate and we sign two gems than I'd be happy. Mention is made of some youngsters who came here but didn't get offers. Some of those were 18 or 19 and were earning more than our players of similar age. They wouldn't come for a drop in wages and it would not have been right to pay them well above what our lads were on, especially not knowing if they could hack it in the league we were in. There is a big difference between chasing a player you've watched in competitive action and a trialist who you've never seen other that for short periods of friendlies. There's an element of risk in signing a trialist and if you get it wrong your up the proverbial without a paddle. Looking at some of those who have come to us then gone elsewhere not many have done anything better than lower league football.

Cup game v Montrose
Ah...i didnt realise we had solar powered lights etc in the south stand , my mistake! Also...i dont EVER recall a steward "segregation barrier" being required when we were in the First Div last time around. But open the south stand, you will require extra stewarding 3pm nsaturday afternoon in july doesn't normally need artificial lighting.

Trialists...
Libero, I dont see in any of caleyrules posts where he has said that the courier and MFR are right or wrong. All he has done is bring to our attention a story from MFR

Cup game v Montrose
I do think the South Stand will be closed all season, unless we have a 1st div play off scenario. I just cant see it paying for itself by the time you take into consideration, stewarding and powering up the stand, for what would probably see 200 or so people using it at the most. Methinks it will be Main Stand and North Stands only this season (barre "big" cup games) What power does it require? It takes more stewards to maintain a segregation barrier in the main stand than it would take to oversee the south one.

Cup game v Montrose
Thats because the majority know it wont be a full house and are expecting to pay at the gate.

Cup game v Montrose
I think its actually a money saving idea, costs much less in electricty and stewardings costs to only have one stand open instead of 3 Its kinda going to lose money if over 3500 turn up at the gates.

Cup game v Montrose
It would appear that for the first competitive game of the season the club have very little confidence if the committment of the Inverness fan to support the team. http://www.ictfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/News...1721716,00.html

away kit for 2 years time
bit off topic, but i think SFL=More exiting than SPL. is a true statment, we can win this div, what was the chances for us winning the SPL? and yes the cups arnt as good but we should have a few good runs and upset some fo the spl at the same time... bring it on, im loving it!! I beleve our best years were in the 1st. Not sure what you mean the cups aren't as good. SFL has the challenge cup, the CIS cup and the Scottish cup. SPL only has CIS and Scottish.

Pub for Dunfermline
Bit of a sweeping statement that. Pretty accurate though. Dont think so. I go to as many away games as I do home ones. I meet many people at those games who are Trust members just like me. I think your statement is a bit uncalled for unless you have a list of every member of the Trust and you know all the faces. LG, I'll be there. Not sure about Aileen though.

away kit for 2 years time
Had you said red and black I'd go with it. Black and blue would just be a reminder of the bruising we took at the end of last season. I do, however, think you'll find this new strip to be a lot more popular than you think.

Best goal ever
What about the dubious goal at parkhead on that night in 2000

Who will be relegated from the SPL
Ones that you may well know. Alan Maine in goal. Stuart Caff, Paul Sheerin, Colin Samuel, Andy jackson, Kevin Rutkiewicz, Stevie Milne and the possibility of Filipe Morais. All well experienced.

Brechin City game
If this were true then personally I'd rather he spent six months with a Highland League team. He'd toughen up very quick there.

HMS SNECK
At around 5pm on saturday 18th July HMS Sneck slipped out of the basin of birds, not a mark on her hull. Indeed not one salvo fired from the Castleton of Brechin hit its target. Sneck fired a large number of shells at the Castleton though only five hit the target. Over the next few days her crew must work on their target practice. Failing to hit the target is a costly business and could give the enemy the impetus to rally and sneak a crippling direct hit. As one lucky hit could be fatal it is imperative that the crew of this good vessel learn that the armour must be strong around the weak point. They must defend the achilles and counter with salvo after salvo of heavy artillery. The ship will return to her home base and exercise hard in preparation for the more serious battle against the forces of the Marquis of Montrose. Her crew will be ready for this battle. Her rearguard and landbased support will take the time to reflect on todays actions and will discuss every good and bad point over the next seven days. They will plan their logistics and tactics and will be ready to form a supporting perimeter around the battle ground of Castle Tulloch. It is also expected that the old wardog and veteran tactician the Immortal Howden Ender could put in an appearance and bring with him his wit and wisdom. I would expect him to be found recruiting in the vodka dens of Innes street.

Who will be relegated from the SPL
I think the dogfight will be between Falkirk and St Mirren. Not sure which will lose out though.
