  1. Although I may agree with Rossco as choice I will stick with the person who is the club captain until such time as the club decide otherwise.
  2. Was he not brought in in january after Brew came back on a two year deal? If so then he only has six months left.
  3. Cant say he'll be missed...........maybe heading over the bridge?
  4. Is this thread not supposed to be about Morais
  5. Because theres not a west section lol By the way where did you find the fixtures? I couldnt see them anywhere when i was looking the day for them. Highland league website

Proctor and Zadi have also signed. I believe Butcher is aiming for a squad of 22.
  7. Good luck if it comes to fruition Alec and Livi. Can't see the ice cream maker accepting a quid for the club though.
  8. Brian has just a couple or three years left in this game. He had to live of his savings for nine months before coming to us. Why shouldn't he capitalise on what skill he has before finding a new career. He done well for us in his time and doesn't deserve to be abused for choosing to support his family.
  9. Round One (to be played on Saturday July 25) North Section Halkirk vs. Wick Academy Golspie Sutherland vs. Inverness CT Bonar Bridge vs. Brora Rangers Bye - Clachnacuddin East Section Elgin City vs. Fort William Nairn County vs. Forres Mechanics Lossiemouth vs. Strathspey Thistle Bye - Rothes County have pulled out. We will field a team of juniors cos we play Montrose in League cup. Can anyone tell me how Fort William, the most westerly team in the highland league are in the east section
  10. I'd be very happy if he plays on the pitch
  11. 'Twas a cracking night......more akin to a fans get together rather than a wedding. And was it warm in the dungeon or what?
  12. Kerr has today signed for Dundee FC. No longer rumour so moved back.
  13. Since first meeting papa a number of years ago I've never, till now, seen his name and County in the same sentence.
  14. From Aileen and I too. Hope the weather stays lovely and the day goes as you've planned. See you both tomorrow night.
  15. Disagree totally with your last point. Terry Butcher has no experience of the first division. Chisolm, Scott, McCall, McIntyre etc all have plenty of knowledge and experience of the teams in this league. Butcher doesn't.
  16. We're allowing four weeks before our first competitive game and six weeks to the start of the league season. I think that should be enough considering we have a squad of professionals who will not have given up on fitness training over the close period.
  17. Not everyone dies of old age Alex... Murder, drugs related deaths, suicides, road accidents, etc, etc... The list is endless. Yes I know but when deaths are suspicious or unexpected there is usually a fair bit of publicity surrounding them so I think we'd likely remember if an ICT footballer had died unexpectedly.
  18. Dundee are puting together a squad of decent Div 1 players but, I think, so many changes at once could be their downfall. It takes time for a new team to gel, to get to know each other and to start playing for each other. I'm not sure if we have an advantage in that respect but we do still have an SPL nucleus that should be able to compete. All the same this league is not a two horse race. There are other teams sitting quietly in the background building for the new seasons challenges and both us and Dundee need to be very aware of them. QoS, Dunfermline, Livingston, Partick and County are all capable of taking points of either of the favourites. It will not be a stroll in the park for anyone. It is very important that we come out of the blocks running and get a few points on the board early in the season to build confidence and get into winning ways. Come the last set of games, provided we're in the right position, I think we will have the superior strength to fight for the championship.
  19. Considering ICT are just 15 years old I should think it highly unlikely that any are dead.
  20. I'm quite sure there will still be supporters buses. Though there wont be so many seats available. Need half a dozen for the security guards who watch the bus during the game. Think, over the course of the season, I'll get to each stadium at least once.
  21. And on the subject of communication http://www.ictfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/News...1698011,00.html
  22. You'se have also forgot Inverness have signed Shane Sutherland, Kyle Allison, Gavin Morrison and Lee Cox
  23. We dont have a level playing field in UK let alone Europe. VAT in Channel Islands is set at 3% and this only started a couple of years ago. I think the problem here is not so much to do with Luxemborg but that we, the consumer, in the UK are obliged by law to pay VAT. So we are paying UK VAT on the service but it isn't getting back to the treasury. Its a very complicated area, for any provider from outside the UK, and one that is depriving UK citizens from a lot of overseas provided services that are freely available elsewhere in the world. The biggest problem for Setanta though is that they counted their chickens too early. They committed to TV rights before knowing the customer base. They also failed to understand the customer. Had they been less biased towards the OF they may have had more customers in Scotland. In England they thought they'd compete with Sky for custom. They failed to realise that the existing Sky customers were happy with the coverage being provided by that company and that they weren't going to stump up more money for an extra one or two games a week. New customers were also more likely to opt for Sky because they still retained full rights to the more 'in demand' games.

Talking of Fort William the league better watch out next season. Remember the slogan...From Worst to First. In my younger days I had a soft spot for the Jags. The odd weekend on the p!ss in Sneck would see time being passed, during closed pub time, at Kingsmills. I played shinty for a few years so didn't really get to much football. I lived in central belt for a lot of years and now and again went to watch Falkirk, Bo'ness United or Linlithgow Rose. I know, the last two are sad considering there is a rivalry between the two more bitter than Sneck / County. Started to follow ICT seriously when they entered div 1.
  25. Scotty, do those prices include VAT?
