Ikes contract is up for negotiation so this is the time when he should be talking about money. I'm quite sure he's happy enough where he is. He is the No.1 and Esson was brought in to provide competition. Mike could leave us and never get another opportunity like he has here

Free Ticket to Bronx
I have a pair of comps for Ibrox courtesy of Clydesdale Bank. One of those for me and the other for any sensible adult who'd like to meet up in city centre and accompany me to game. Stipulations are ability to drink a pint or two and a knowledge of transport between city centre and Govan. And you've got to, at least, pretend you like me.

Yep! Agree with your first point but to spend you need to have. Know any banks that are lending at the minute? I want to move to Sneck

Rangers VS CALEY
Take heart people.................a game against the OF on their territory.............always produces a good one. Tonight the multi million pound team struggled to win the game. Yep it was 2-0 but against a team of, no more than, youth opportunity people??? Rossco's gonna get them!!!

If we're relegated
Who was the last team to go back up and when? I think it was Hibs

what is considered an acceptable season
In the present climate, where cash is the over-riding factor, survival is the priority. And also to see youngsters come through the ranks and succeed in the game.

Falkirk -V-ICT : matchnight thread
I'm on the side of stevico1 here. We can all name people who could replace Brewster but none of us can say how the guy would get his paycheck. Names get mentioned. I'll bet they would all command well in excess of ?100k a year. Where do the funds come from. Get real people. We have what we've got because there's no cash in the kitty to get better. And that goes for players as well as managers. I'm not a lover of some of what Brewster is doing but I am a realist. My only hope is that we always survive. We produce good players. And there are some starting to come through but they need time. And eventually we create some wealth from those we bring through. The country, and the whole world, is in financial meltdown. There are no more David Sutherlands with cash to burn. Most especially in his industry. Trouble is its more down to getting people through the gates now but they are also feeling the pinch.

To be fair to Charlie and Brew John Robertson left us before we played a cup game as an SPL team. We were a div 1 team for the semi you refer. To be fair Brew's cup record is no different to any other of the managers we've had since coming into SPL. The one exception being CC who took us to a nearly win against Celtic in QF of Scottish Cup 07.- Rangers VS CALEY
And the visiting fans get held in at the end of the game to allow the home fans time to form battle ranks outside. And mind you dont trip on the Bucky bottles littered about.- cup tradition
I think people are getting their knickers tied up by selective journalism.- Novo for Scotland?
I totally agree with Butcher here. If the link is back to grandparents then so be it. i.e Quashie. If the link is through naturalisation by residence then No. Besides, if he aint good enough for Spain he aint good enough for us.- Attendances --crisis mounting?
I'm sure it was reported that we have around 3000 ST holders. If we assume that 2500 get to every game then not much more than 1000 are cash sales, including concessions, so perhaps between 15 and 20k is taken at the gates. I would guess that to be a fairly small %age of the cost to run the club. As Scotty says other means of revenue are being targeted. I've noticed a lot more advertising boards appearing lately leaving no space for flags and banners. Hospitality is trying to fill more tables. Theres more push to sell programmes and draw tickets. There's more emphasis on making functions easier for the ordinary fan to attend. And I'm sure everyone is working very hard at increasing income and reducing costs. Hence I'd be very surprised if the club has not studied the effects of reduced prices against increased attendances. Many have said the carpark puts them off. Surely if this was invested in properly and a system put in place to enable it to be emptied within a reasonable time and with allowing those who need to the opportunity to turn right out of the area for access to the A9 a decent revenue could be gained and a less pee'd off fan leaving after the game. Oh! and the funniest quote I heard in a long while. Accies v Rangers...........camera pans over Rangers fans who are all standing. Commentator..........."they have a special dispensation to stand because the seats are wet"- Falkirk -V-ICT : matchnight thread
On the ball today Scotty................six hours to k.o.- Rangers VS CALEY
I seem to remember the answer to that question being NO! I believe the original BENI enquired and were told that as Rangers fans had a band they wouldn't allow others to take instruments in. RiG can probably enlighten further. What usually happens is that visitors rip out a couple of seats and bang them together - cup tradition
