Falkirk may have been promoted after us but they've been here before and should have been back up long before us. Even in there spell in div 1 they have always maintained a strong fan base of around 6000 ST holders.

Niculae
And todays BBC slant Seems like Niculae's heads too big and the club are right in thier stance. Would be so helpful if Grassa were to make a statement to the fans though.

Niculae
CD Niculae is 27. I wonder was he paid his full contractual fee up front and the club now want some of that cash back.
-
Niculae
This so called 'solidarity fee'. Not sure I quite understand it but I thought it was only payable if a player is under 24 at time of transfer.

I would expect Marius to be out of the country

Niculae
Is it ICT or Marius Niculae thats doing the negotiating?

And Rory to come on and score the winner just to stick it right up those who showed him the door a few years ago.

Youngsters - how long is long enough
CaleyD, I take umbridge to your tongue in cheek comments against me. I can be as critical as the next when its deserved. i.e Wyness not getting back to form after his injury, Niculae taking too long to show his so called skill, Duncans passing, anyone who cant think for themselves and find it easier to pass back and let the keeper decide. I'll criticise when its deserved. As for being critical of the club or its staff all I can say there is in all my dealings with any of them I've found nothing to be critical of. When meeting with and chatting to anyone associated with the club I have always been treated respectfully so why should I criticise? And as for CaleyD, I may disagree with some of his comments but I dont criticise him either, not even when eating and drinking together :blah01:

merged: Adam Rooney
Marty, coming on for a wee run around against Brora isn't quite the same as an SPL match. Brewster was told he couldn't play again unless he gets an op so I doubt he'd risk becoming crippled. I grant you he is still a registered player though.

Youngsters - how long is long enough
And would the actual events include his tally so far this pre-season. Nine I believe. Someone can likely correct me if I'm wrong but I believe thats the most any of our strikers has scored in a pre-season, including Wyness and Dargo. Two very experienced strikers. These games may be meaningless to some but the ball still has to go into the net. I dont know if Rory will cut it with the big boys but I'm prepared to reserve judgement until, as was said on another thread, he's played 5 or 6 back to back competitive games. And Marty, I think you'll find that Danish football is at the very least on a par with what Scotland has to offer. Herfolge are chomping at the bit to get back into the Superleague where they had been previously for 16 seasons. This league is reputed to be the superior of all the Scandinavian countries. The Danish first div is much like ours with the top half dozen closely competing to try and win promotion every season

Is there not enough McAllister bashing on other threads without starting another one. Well said Graham. Get behind the team and show real support.

Bit like Crouch then?

Black Wants New Deal
Lets be fair to Ian here. The P&J chose to print this story today. The last contact Ian had with the press was on wednesday when a few of the players in Denmark were given time to be interviewed by the journo's that are out there. So if he said what was reported then he said it before the deal was official

Brand New Strike Force
And is it not asking a lot of Jackson to do the same.
-
Brand New Strike Force
Yes rig I did make a mistake about his contract. Picked someone up wrong on that one. The lads had one full season at St J. Prior to that he was was out on loan a couple of times. The point I'm trying to make is I dont see why we should be spending a lot of money on our own youth policy if we're going to forsake the products of our work for similar standards from elsewhere.

Just you lot look out for golden boot McAllister

Denmark trip thread
Oh and I think Lionel Djebi-Zadi got the Herfolge first goal.
-
Denmark trip thread
I believe it finished 4-4. Rooney scored the first ICT goal and Rory got a hat-trick.

Brand New Strike Force
In one breath we've no confidence in our own young strikers and in another we want Andy Jackson a 20 year old div 1 striker. Two years to go on his contract would cost us a bit more than 150k methinks.

What to spend the pocket money on?
I remember something similar being said when Falkirk joined the league and again last season with reference to Motherwell. We have 24 players on the books just now so there is probably room for a couple or three more but who? There isn't a central defender that I can find available and cheap with the experience we need. I can see a lot of faith being put on the younger players this season. It worked for Hibs, Falkirk and Motherwell. Why shouldn't it work for us?
