1st home game
They'll probably just beat Gretna's travelling support.

players still needed
The management would argue that they added Esson, Zadi, Kerr, Duff, Vigurs and Wood. The bottom line seems there is NO money

Aberdeen vs ICT
And from Craig Brewster praise for Inverness win Inverness boss Craig Brewster hailed the effort of his team following their first ever victory over Aberdeen. Goals from Andrew Barrowman and Roy McBain gave the Highlanders an opening day SPL win at Pittodrie. "I thought team spirit and teamwork won us the game today," said Brewster. "We competed really well and looked dangerous on the break. "I was confident in my players and what they've done over the last six weeks so that performance just confirmed that." Brewster was also pleased for his two goalscorers with Barrowman finding the net on his debut and McBain scoring on his 300th appearance for the club. "When you score goals at any level, I always believe you can score at the top level," added Brewster. "Andrew wants to do well for himself and he wants to do well for the team. I'm excited about seeing him develop in the next three years. "Roy's been a great servant to Caley Thistle and I'm delighted he got on the scoresheet today."

BBC post match Home loss frustrates Dons manager Calderwood watched his side defeated by Inverness Aberdeen manager Jimmy Calderwood was critical of his team following the home loss to Inverness. The opening day SPL defeat was the first time the Dons had ever lost to the Highlanders. "Our passion let us down, there were too many good players that didn't play well today," said Calderwood. "All credit to Inverness, they defended really well. They made it very difficult for us and we didn't have the form to break them down." And Calderwood admits that the visitors were worthy winners at Pittodrie. "They're a well-organised team," he added. "They got the breaks today and deserved their victory."

and he's got deeper pockets.

Backin Brewster ?
Good post Johndo. My concern also is the defense. To combat the risk we must defend from the front, keep the ball when we have it, keep it on the ground and speed up our counter attack.

ICT Team Guide
Remember when Falkirk came up the pundits righting them of as a young team. And when Mobray came to Hibs he was never going to save them from the drop cos they only had youngsters to work with. At least we still have a few experienced players left.

Credit Where It's Due
I think he's being praised for the fact he made the point of being at the stadium late in the night to welcome them back after a long bus ride and to congratulate them personally.

merged: Adam Rooney
Its a difficult one to comment on without knowing how much the lad earns or what % we are expected to pay. I think Stoke see real potential in him, possibly as a means of earning a good transfer fee in january, so they dont want to commit him to a longer loan than that. We probably fear paying over the norm because we'd see no return if they sell him. Maybe we should just bite the bullet and put in a transfer bid now. Take a chance like we have on others. Reading between the lines though, and the fact the accounts have not been released yet, makes me think the purse strings are being well and truely tightened

First Scorer Against The Dons
Who I'd like to see score first is Rory but who will score first is Rossco of his head from a well placed Cowie corner in 17 minutes.
