Arbroath Info
Think the 'youngsters' being referred to are those who have featured in, or on the bench, since the season began. With Munro, Duncan and Proc all crocked there isn't too many non-youngsters left to choose from. And reading between the lines of the chairmans report I'd say those youngsters are going to be a major feature of our team this season. Of a squad of 26 players 14 are 25 or under, 2 are out on loan and 4 crocked. The younger players are definately going to be the backbone of ICT unless a miracle money man appears before the window closes.

missing a bridge and a castle
I've done as you request and I'll monitor the use of the thread. The B.E.N.I forum is not used as much as had been anticipated so I hope you guys see that we Mods will bend over backwards to appease everyone. But it would be nice to see that our efforts are appreciated and that you'll use the facilities we provide at your request.

Words of songs and chants
As requested on the bridges and castles thread this one has been created and stickied so that folk can add the words to songs and chants for all to learn. I will, however, monitor the frequency of use of the thread as the BENI board is not used as much as was expected when it was created.

Why No televised games ?
It is my understanding that our game against Celtic hasn't yet been scheduled because they play Champions league on the tuesday or wednesday following.

missing a bridge and a castle
Yes I tried to encourage singing on saturday and some followed for little spells but then deathly silence. The young lads who start the noise are appreciated by fans and players alike. At every ground thers is always a group who lead the chants. That for me is the group at the back of section G and they do normally rise to the occassion but something was amiss saturday. The point I would make though is this. When things on the pitch are going good there's loads of noise. When players are slacking the noise dies. IMO thats when we should all be shouting and chanting. The twelfth man syndrome. Make the hairs stand out on the back of a players neck and he'll perform. When Scotland play sh!te the Tartan Army get more fired up. Lets see the same passion at TCS. Oh, and those of you who think our stewards are bad. Have you ever been to Dens or Tannadump?

Barry Wilson V Liverpool XI
Liverpool and ICT, have never said that household names would be coming up. It was always billed as a Liverpool X1 and it was always known that it would be unlikely that any first team players would be allowed to play since the Premiership had started. However, on display at TCS on monday night was in excess of ?10 million of Liverpool talent. There number 10 cost them a million. And they got a right ripping into from thier coach after the game. It is said that he locked them into the dressing room to reflect on thier disasterous performance. What we witnessed was the future of Liverpool FC.

Young Debutant Duff
One of the big problems with fans of this great game of ours is that they only notice when the defender or keeper makes the mistake. Midfielders and front men can make twenty mistakes in a game and go un-noticed. And they do which usually results on pressure at the back. Jamie Duff played a great game against Hamilton and deserves to start again. Yes he made a mistake but the whole team were on an awayday and perhaps if they had been playing like the can, and taken control of the game, this one error from the lad would never have arisen.

Dan Wagaluka
Wagaluka is an impressive right winger. He has pace and skill but I have reservations about his size. Not his hieght but his build. He is quite a lightweight and would get thrown around something rotten in the SPL. He has no fear but really needs to work on beefing out a bit. I know he's desperate to win a contract and is puting in the workrate but is he better than what we have at the minute.

Hamilton Tactics
Fraser Rossco, McGuire, Hastings. Zadi Cowie, Duncan, Black, Imrie Barrowman, Rooney Subs: Esson, Duff, MsBain, Wilson, Vigurs, Wood, McAllister And to answer a question on another thread Rooney has squad number nine.

merged: Adam Rooney
I think the extra ?25k may be based on number of starts. Thats quite common in negotiations. There's also a sell on clause. So yes, if the extra's paid, he will be our highest fee paid. Well done the club for negotiating this deal and I hope the lad turns out as expected.

Striker on Trial
Brew is looking for a fast winger to strengthen the midfield. Taking in triallists is a means of looking without expense to the club, other than travel and accomodation. And if they're no better than what we've got then its easy to say so. Elgin want to borrow Kerr and Gillespie. Good move for Guy. Dale, I assume, is part of Brews plans if he's not going. McNulty I'm surprised at cos I dont see him getting much first team football. I believe Rooney is coming. I am also led to believe Brew knows the defensive shortfall and is looking hard for the right person but good central defenders are not easy to come by at the right price.

Hamilton Tactics
Not taking anything away from Accies. They worked hard and deserved thier win but the Arabs made them look good. Thats probably the worst Arab display I've seen in a while. They started well but stopped after they scored.

We're still top!
It was an atrocious decision. Vinegar has a big handful of Hainings shirt, and probably some of his skin, Hainings arms are in the air, no contact but Mr O'Smith gives a penalty. No way would the tims have scored otherwise.

Big Les's take on this season
Stolen from BBC INVERNESS FAN LES KIDGER, 40, ORIGINALLY FROM NEWCASTLE "The season ahead is our most challenging. We need to get off to a good start and I think that the opening fixtures give us opportunity to do that. "I'm confident we will carry a good scoring threat this season. It was a blow to lose striker Marius Niculae, but one player does not make a team and we've recovered from losing important players in the past like Darren Dods and midfielder John Rankin. "Who knows, perhaps the next Marius Niculae is just round the corner. In any case, Caley fans have high hopes for new signing Andy Barrowman this season. "I'd still like to see manager Craig Brewster make a few more signings before the transfer window closes. Our backline needs strengthening. "The squad at Inverness has always been very close-knit team and they gel very early. We've also had one of our best ever pre-seasons, so I'm optimistic about the new season. "Success would be a top six finish. Craig Brewster is about to begin his first full season in charge at the club. He's still relatively new to management and if he gets backing from the board, he can do well. "He'll be aiming for a top six finish, and come the split I don't think we'll be far away. "The main problem for us now that we're in the SPL, the wheel of success will turn very slowly. The Old Firm dominate the league and it's difficult for the other clubs to make the breakthrough."
