  1. Fishing ones brill How about "Used to be a Jaggy, now I'm ICT" "HANES" Sports jacket with ICTFC 1994 on breast..............how much?
  2. JohnnyK, to reduce the time puting on all the clobber can I suggest investing in a set of Thermal Skins as used by skiers, motorcyclists, deep sea divers, footballers etc. These are designed to retain heat from the body and are brilliant. I am one of those who suffer from the cold and I can vouch for the effectiveness. At the end of the day we wont see any move from Longman for a few years, if at all, so is there much point in debate at this time.

    I agree
  4. It could also indicate that the Falkirk fans are not happy with what they see. Falkirk wanted ?21 to get in! Put the price of the train ticket on top, lunch, pie(s), hotdogs, drinks and booze on top and it makes for one EXPENSIVE day Same prices as last season
  5. It could also indicate that the Falkirk fans are not happy with what they see.
  6. Are we now seeing exactly what Mr Brewster has always been capable of but hasn't been able to achieve till now. That is to choose who he wants to keep in the squad, get rid of the rest and build his own team. A team of players who want to play for Brewster. Well done to every one. Dougie, the commentators reckoned you were angry at being dropped. You sat seething on the bench then came on and done the business. True professionalism. To the rest, an hour and a half of hard work and effort brings bonuses for everyone. Keep it up all season.
  7. CD, we should buy the blueprints from Nordzealland. They have the stadium you envisage. Oval stadium. Hotel on one side. Bar. Shop. 10k seats all leather with beaker holders attached for the beer.
  8. The working class residential areas are closer to Bught. There's bars closer. And once the by-pass has been completed road travel will be just as easy from all directions The roads around the Bught at present are well able to cope with large crowds of people. Highland games, Shinty finals etc have all coped well enough

He was on the bench v Aberdeen and Hibs but hasn't played first team yet this season
  10. From the Courier A centre of sporting excellence for all sports!! Does that mean moving fans further back from the pitch to incorporate a running track?
  11. Setanta can't shedule till they know what night Celtic are playing and discussions with both clubs have taken place. The game will likely be televised but will it be 12.30 saturday or 12.30 sunday. That decision still has to be made.
  12. Dicky is in the Canadian squad for CONCACAF Cup qualifying on 6th and 10th Sep. If he gets a game he'll have gained his 50th cap.
  13. Messr's Coia and MacKenzie??
  14. Bit surprised (and dissappointed) at that, management has changed since then I believe. Would have thought you could drink at the bar where the tv's are/were. Tomorrow I will be mostly at Earls Gates Social Club. Stayed at Beancross Travelodge a month ago and had a couple of pints and no food without problem at the bar.

Johndo, I believe Proc Munro and Duncan are still doubtfuls. Also there are quite a few changes within the Falkirk team this season and so far they dont seem to have gelled. One downside is the ref.......Mike McCurry
  16. Methinks the missing link could be...............Bingham Legend, RiG, Clacher etc.

No effect on league. He'll miss next CIS unless the SFA take a dimmer view and decide to punish further.

I think it will be: Fraser Tokely McGuire Duff Hastings Cowie Vigurs Black McBain Imrie Barrowman Bench Esson Zadi Kerr Wilson Sutherland Rooney McAllister I dont think Munro, Proctor or Duncan will be deemed fit enough.
  19. To be fair it's only about 2-3 km Alex, but a pretty boring walk with all those roundabouts. It's 4 quid to park at the stadium, but if you get there a bit earlier there's street parking if you look for it. If you park at the stadium at our end you get a quick getaway though. Some of us usually drink at the Cadger's Brae, just off junction 4 on the M9, ie south of the ground. I know there's another pub or two behind the away end towards the town, but never tried them. Always felt further when I walked it intoxicated in younger days. Falkirk centre to the dancing at the International
  20. "Let's all go to Tesco's, Where Ger's fans buy their best clothes, Lala la la, lala la la" "If you all hate Weegie shellsuits clap yer hand's, If you all hate Weegie shellsuits clap yer hand's, If you all hate Weegie shellsuits, Hate Weegie shellsuits, Hate Weegie shellsuits clap yer hands" "You all shop at, You all shop at, You all shop at JJB"
  21. Doh a Dear...anyone?

Like it or not those players fielded last night are Inverness CT. They are the squad and they are all expected to be of the same standards. There will be many times throughout the season when they will be called upon to perform. There will be times of injury and suspension. Times of illness. So we dont have much choice but to support and encourage them. The money isn't there to procure the players we really need so youth is the way we are going. Maybe the last chairman or the one before him or the board is to blame for what seems to be a shambolic start to this season but we have to bear it and get through it. Hibs, falkirk and Motherwell all came through similar situations and they showed that youth can come to the good but it doesn't happen instantaniously. If only they'd all develop as quick as Mr Black is doing.

Reading this thread shows exactly how blinkered a lot of people have become in recent years. There isn't a team in this league who hasn't succumbed to lower league shocks over the years and that will always be the case. Not so long since we were the so called giant killers. Generally the lower teams are going to give a greater fight in these competitions and, as has been seen, win through. The press and the fans latch on to the myth that, because your in the top league, you should be unbeatable against lower league teams. Thats what makes our cup competitions interesting. Would be pretty boring if only the top teams were to contest everything. The fact is we're through to the next round and looking at the teams in the last sixteen there's a strong possibility of making a final this season.
  24. A GB team would do nothing to help the Scottish game. Selection would be English bias. If any Scots selected they'll be OF bias. There are already enough international tournaments and the Olympics, which are in the same year as the Europeans, would disrupt pre-season prep for clubs who have players participating.
  25. Stolen from this weeks HN Brew rules out Dods return By Paul Chalk Published: 28 August, 2008 CRAIG Brewster yesterday (Wed) announced that Darren Dods will not be making an Inverness return. Rumours have been rife this week that the towering central defender was set to leave Dundee United to come back to the Highland capital after falling out of his manager Craig Levein's plans. The 33-year-old joined ICT from St Johnstone in 2004, making 100 appearances for the club in a three-year spell before joining Brewster when he bossed at Dundee United in 2007. The Tangerines are more than covered in central defence, with Garry Kenneth and Lee Wilkie commanding the starting slots and Danny Grainger and Sean Dillon waiting in the wings with Dods. When asked about a possible return, the ICT manager said: "There's no chance of Darren coming back here. Most people know what I think of Darren, but a move won't be happening." Meanwhile, Ugandan internationalist Dan Wagaluka will not be striking a deal with Caley Thistle. The player spent more than a week with the Inverness club, but it's believed the chance has arisen for him to impress at Newcastle United in the coming days. However, Brew is still on the look-out for players and chairman George Fraser has pledged to provide the cash required to bring in any more new faces before the transfer window closes on Monday, at midnight. This commitment comes hard on the heels of the club's ?432,000 loss in the last financial year. Caley Thistle will look to get their second win of the season when they go to Falkirk on Saturday, who have lost their opening three fixtures. ICT's coaches were disappointed with the second half show in the weekend's 1-1 draw at home to Hibernian, which came a week after the lacklustre 1-0 defeat against Hamilton. Assistant boss Malky Thomson said: "We have suffered in our last two games with the supply we gave to our forwards. The first half on Saturday was fantastic, but in the second half we lost the goal within 30 seconds which gave them a real lift. If we had not have lost the goal, we could have taken charge again and I think they would have petered out. "The first 45 minutes against Hibs was like the standard the boys set at Pittodrie and they way they played in pre-season. That's what they must try to achieve in every game." Falkirk took nine of the available 12 points against the Highlanders last season and Thomson knows they'll fancy their chances of getting off the mark this weekend, but he's confident the Caley Jags can head back north with the points. He said: "Falkirk are well organised and they rightly get the credit for being a good passing team. It will be up to us to win possession of the ball and try and reverse the trend from last season by taking more points off them than they do from us. "Although they are missing a few players, John Hughes still has a decent squad to pick from. I'm sure the replacements who come in will get their opportunity to impress their manager, but we'll be going down there to put on a strong performance." The ICT assistant boss was satisfied by the frontline pairing of Andy Barrowman and Adam Rooney as they linked up for the first time on Saturday and he reckons if opportunities come their way, the strikers will take them. He said: "It was encouraging because both players have a real spark about them. They are lively and they want to play as a pair. If we can improve on the quality of ball played into them, then we will create chances." Skipper Grant Munro (knee) and Russell Duncan (hamstring), who were sidelined through injury last weekend, have resumed training and could be available for the trip to Falkirk. David Proctor, however, will not train for the next week or so at least after damaging his ankle ligaments in training.
