  1. Nothing wrong with the words or the singer. Now all you need to do is get permission from Dougie to use his tune, dont think its copyright exempt yet, get half a dozen backing vocals onto it, dump it to CD and give it to the DJ. Sorted.
  2. If you want to use an eagle then it has to be the official one and it must have a thistle to perch on :003:
  3. Is it not the case that JJB's contract with the OF is such that they can't sell other Scottish teams gear?
  4. Bayne is very much part of Brews plans for the future. Marius wont be around for long. MacDonald is unsettled and free to go if a team wants him. Dont think he likes being so far from his family. I think Rory's also been discounted now and will likely be moving on in the summer.
  5. One of the problems of bringing in players in January is that by the time they begin to gel with the rest of the squad the season is nearly over.
  6. Richie doesn't want to leave this area. His girlfriend runs a successful business here and they are happy and settled. I believe he wants to stay at TCS and I also believe the deal is that if he proves himself as a first team member he may be offered a new contract before the end of the season.
  7. Johnboy came from there too, so it must have something going for it... :022: No No Johnboy got out of it :blah01:
  8. Just wondered where its reported we paid ?50k for the lad. Skysports reports we paid a nominal fee. That usually means around ?10k
  9. To be fair to Bazza, he's on year on year contract anyway. Has been since Brews last stint.
  10. Well all I can say is I have to trust the people who seem to see something in a player. Only one ever bad signing I remember was Fetai on loan so here's hoping this ones a good one. If he goes out and scores goals then he's worth the money. If he flashes down the wing and gets perfect crosses in then he's worth the money. To be honest, as SPL transfers go, ?50k is peanuts nowadays.
  11. Forgot about Zibi. IMO Wyness and Proctor were both established. Wyness played for Aberdeen before coming to us then Hearts before coming back. 9 starts at Aberdeen. 49 starts including 1 Uefa at Hearts. Proc 16 for us and 11 for DU.
  12. What is an established SPL player? Is it like Fraser, Tokely, Proctor etc? We signed Wyness and Proctor. They were both established SPL players.
  13. Brew's away to greece, maybe he'll bring back a superstar.
  14. sophia, site officials are as entitled as anyone else to debate any subject in public.
  15. According to P&J they are not being offered new deals. FULL STORY
  16. Apologies....it is ?10 not ?5 (thats the supporters club) Not every fan is a member of centenary nor shareholder nor season ticket holder so if they are only a trust member then they will benifit. One of the aims of the Trust is to seek representation on the board. To do that they need to build a decent share holding. It will happen. What gets me is the way Inverness folk seem to be even tighter than Aberdonians. ?10 is the annual membership fee of most clubs across britian and some are even more...Exeter ?24, Lincoln ?20, Grimsby ?15. Is a tenner a year really such an extortianate amount. Why should anyone get to attend meetings of any form of membership club if they dont become members. I drink in the Caley club but am not a member so wouldn't expect to be allowed to attend meetings. As for finding out what its all about check the website, ask the committee, check other Trust's websites. But in support of what you say perhaps the Trust could organise an open meet for people who want to fact find. Like yourself I was at the very first meeting and, to be honest, the turnout was pretty dire so would it work a couple of years down the line? I think the main reason people are cynical is because this trust wasn't formed, like many others, to save a club but instead was formed to help dissolve the members club and to build a fans stake in ICT.
  17. Personally I think he and Grassa are playing their cards close to their chest's. Was a minute of two before midnight at end of last window when McGuire was secured. It may also be that they believe McDonald, Kerr and Duff are ready to make the step up for cover. That is what I'd like to see.
  18. What are the benefits of being a member of the trust? I assume it costs mazoola? If the trust was free where would thye get funds? Can't say a fiver a year for a share in the club is too much to pay. Benifits:- Discount in shop. Priority for tickets. A voice on the board. To name just three.
  19. Very few of that wealth of talent want the job. Pay is poor, games and get togethers few and far between and most of the time is spent banging your head against a brick wall cos the wealth of talent don't want to release players for what they see as meaningless friendlies etc. Personally I think Butcher and Elvis could work well together and get the best out of what they have to play with whilst Burley takes the flack and deals with all the other sh**e.
  20. At the end of the day Russell is thinking of his family and his future. the better deal he can get the better he's going to feel and, maybe, play. None of us know exactly what he's asking for so can't really comment too much. Perhaps, being as he's been with us for almost seven years he just wants a longer contract and testimonial at the end of it. Perhaps it's basic pay, perhaps bonuses. Whatever it is I hope he gets it and shows all that he is an important part of this team.
  21. Imagine allowing Hibs and ICT to be drawn together as early as the last 32 :023:
  22. If its to be Caledonia then it has to be the original Dougie MacLean version and not the one Tennents stole to be sung by Frankie Miller.
  23. Alex MacLeod replied to Heilandee's topic in Caley Thistle
Ok then my pledge is pound per pound to the male who sheds the most. And I'll even sticky this thread :003:
  24. Out of interest Alex who do you think they would be? I would guess at Saint Johnstone & Dunfermline. Not sure about Dundee and I wouldn't have said Hamilton either. St Johnstone pay higher to a few of their better players, as do Dundee. And I believe Dunfermline do too which was one of the things that had to be sorted with Phil McGuire. Not sure about Hamilton. I know from a friend, who's involved with St J, that there are players on around ?100k p.a.
  25. I agree with what your saying Scotty but the facts are whats there at the minute. Alimac made a comparrison with the Arabs shop. Theirs is a seperate building across from the stadium and floor space is massive. Going back to harry's first post, just remembered one player not included. Barry Wilson was sold to Ferranti for ?100k.
