  1. Why?? Celtic Rangers Motherwell Kilmarnock St Mirren and likely Gretna makes six west as it is. Or is your tongue in your cheek
  2. They did have a senior team. It was called..................................................Clydebank FC. Kilbowie Park was one of the first all-seater stadiums in the country. Unfortunately they couldn,t sustain the finances and in 2003 they relinquised their senior status and joined the junior ranks.

I wouldn't promote JF's to the natives, let alone non-natives.
  4. Could the admin who feels the need to move this to Rumours please indicate where in the text there is any hint of a rumour. I read about the guy in P&J and asked a straight forward question. At no time did I even suggest that he could, would or should come to ICT.

Not this season. If I remember right he had a back problem that required the knife last season.
  7. Are you sure Andrew. My total according to figures on official site is 348 played. That could be wrong though.
  8. You may or may not have missed something chris. The question was: What are the largest Scottish towns not to have a league football team? Everyone has assumed that SPL / SFL is the league in question.
  9. Could this lad do the bis for us Linky Linky
  10. The big problem in Scotland is the uneven fanbases. Both OF can command 40k+ Edinburgh clubs around 15k each. Aberdeen 10 - 12k and the rest well below 10k for the majority of games. Teams like us need the OF cos they fill our stadium. Teams like Dunfermline, St Mirren, Falkirk etc dont bring enough fans, nor do we take many to away games. The revenue is unevenly distributed so clubs like us are not going to vote for a bigger league because of the reduction in revenue, nor will we vote for a smaller league because it would be a lot more difficult to stay in it.
  11. I'd have 16 team, no split. 30 league games + SPL cup competition. Teams in groups of four play each in group twice. Group draw on a seeding basis based on previous season league positions. Group winners to semi finals. 36 games in total for all teams + semi final and final for lucky few. Leave other cups as they are
  12. Would rather the craic at Dunfie than Paisley any day
  13. Now your taking the p Johndo. Kinlochshiel hasn't a bit enough population to make a football team let alone support it.
  14. Cant see that happening to be honest. A few club chairmen and sports commentators want a sixteen team league

Oxford English Fascism n. a system of government characterised by dictatorship, belligerent nationalism, racism and militerism. --Fascist n. adj. How can someone who feels offended by a rascist remark be linked with fascism? For the record I was in main stand so was not in a place to hear the alleged coment but I abhor any form of rascism, and that includes comments that refer to Gypsy Travellers, and would think nothing about making official complaint if I knew who made the remark.
  16. Gary Wood is one of our U19 strikers being given a chance in first team.
  17. Its me getting my ore in after that long drive back down the A9 :003: Ya bass :015:
  18. Please guys, no bitching. Everyones opinion is valid. Manny, if I want to start a new thread to debate my thoughts, I will. The matchday thread is good and I did post there but that thread always gets lost half hour after final whistle. Its a during match thread And thats my opinion
  19. Sorry to disagree with everyone here but RC need to stay up for our benifit. The Highland Football Academy, that educational establishment that will produce our future players, needs both north teams to be successful in order to be viable.
  20. Sorry to hear that Baz. Will give you some time for your two three beautiful girls to pamper you though. :003:

Latapy was stopped from doing what he does best.
  22. Yes I was at the game...........and I've also just watched the highlights on Setanta. I also thought Caff had a good game. I really disagree with your nagative points though kencar. We were up against a team who are our every equal and we bettered them in all quarters. had some of our finishing been better your comments would have been different.

Sorry Kencar, I must have gone to a different game to you. I thought Hart was MoM. BBC Radio thought Hart was MoM. Sponsors thought Hart was MoM. Setanta pundits thought Hart was MoM. Yogi hughes thought Hart was MoM. McBain, when he got into his game, done some good work. Our tactics were ok today. We set out to stop Falkirk playing and we done just that. Agree there was a period where we seemed to be punting but that was dictated by the opposition. We also had some good on the ground movements, especially in the first half. Strange how every other pundit thinks we should have won it.....
  24. Just watched Setanta highlights and we wis robbed. Very hard to say if Finnigan was offside but Barry should def had a corner. Johns goal was a cracker though. Didn't look much at the match but the replay shows the ball come in from the left and Rankin takes it on his left foot and squeezes it in. As Butcher and Dodds say, how do you coach that?? Johns 22 yard shot was only a whisker off target as well. Was really pleased to see Richie Hart play so well today. I dont want him to get my shirt too dirty but I've always been a fan of the guy and really hope he can get back into his old ways and establish his place for a few more seasons. His dipping volley was a cracker and Smiechel deserves credit for the save. All in all the team done well. There were good play, there were mistakes but we stopped Falkirk from playing their game and made more of the chances. The one thing that I noted though was the pitch. It looked really good but the ball just didnt seem to do what it should. Seemed to be a lot of bawbled balls. The bounces didnt go where they were expected and the ball seemed to stick to the ground at times. Referee...................absolutely atrocious. Would whistle when he should have allowed advantage and let the game go on when players were hurt. Half the time he didn't seem to know where the play was. Hope not to see him in a top flight game again.
