  1. Just watched Setanta highlights and we wis robbed. Very hard to say if Finnigan was offside but Barry should def had a corner. Johns goal was a cracker though. Didn't look much at the match but the replay shows the ball come in from the left and Rankin takes it on his left foot and squeezes it in. As Butcher and Dodds say, how do you coach that?? Johns 22 yard shot was only a whisker off target as well. Was really pleased to see Richie Hart play so well today. I dont want him to get my shirt too dirty but I've always been a fan of the guy and really hope he can get back into his old ways and establish his place for a few more seasons. His dipping volley was a cracker and Smiechel deserves credit for the save. All in all the team done well. There were good play, there were mistakes but we stopped Falkirk from playing their game and made more of the chances. The one thing that I noted though was the pitch. It looked really good but the ball just didnt seem to do what it should. Seemed to be a lot of bawbled balls. The bounces didnt go where they were expected and the ball seemed to stick to the ground at times. Referee...................absolutely atrocious. Would whistle when he should have allowed advantage and let the game go on when players were hurt. Half the time he didn't seem to know where the play was. Hope not to see him in a top flight game again.

Depends on whether Eden Court is being given a donation or a loan as to what they can get from CGF. We pay our loan back to CGF so they can loan it to EC. I think!!
  3. My squad would be: Calder, Fridge, Noble, Teasdale Lisle, MacDonald, Caldwell, Bennett Shearer, Christie, Robertson, Hercher Formation: 1,2,2
  4. Does anyone have any news on Barry. He looked like he was in real pain by the time he reached the tunnel. Hope its just a bit of bruising but just feel Barry is not one to give in easily but when he got hurt he knew right away he wasn't continuing.
  5. Was watching the Dubia Masters and got to wondering.....who would be in an ICT masters team?
  6. Oh and I forgot Fort William pop..11,000
  7. Brechin population..................approx 8,000 Dingwall " ..................approx 5,000 Gretna " ..................approx 3000 Towns without a team..........Oban (8,200) Peebles (8,000) Musselburgh(22,000)
  8. Celtic are looking for a team to loan JK to. They would prefer a team playing over the summer but if no takers then will consider a season loan next season. CC is watching developments, as are some other clubs. Dont read too much into the press. When they dont have facts they make things up.
  9. Personally I would like it to go to Grant but I wonder if there might be a sweetener for Hastings
  10. Who isn't better looking than DC..? He's also got a twin brother who can cause your condensed vegetable to re-appear...!! Jimmy Calderwood?? As for Sydney, they are seen as the Celtic or Rangers of Australia and if thye dont finish first or second then its curtains for someone. This last season they finished third. I believe they were only formed in 2004.
  11. To be honest I reckon everyone of us supports our club and our country. As for players, I believe the majority are proud to represent their country. One or two will always want to choose when to play though. Especially if theres a big club game coming up, i.e cup final, european match etc.

Is it not true that any moves outside the transfer window must be sanctioned by the SFA and can only happen if a team finds themselves short of players for reasons of injury etc?
  13. Reading between the lines of what Levien said on Radio Tay I wouldn't be surprised if Robson has quite a few weeks in the reserves to reflect on his stupidity.
  14. This club resurrected Darrens career and darren has been excellent for the club. Both parties have benifited enormously from the relationship but now is the time to say no. We need to be playing the lads who will feature next season and build on what we'll have. Our defense was absolutely solid against Rangers and Caff and Granty made no small contribution to that so we need to keep them working together. Good luck for the future though Dodsy. Except against us.
  15. Not sure about Charlie but it is Ritchie Harts birthday. Happy Birthday Ritchie
  16. The take up is a bit sad really considering the Super J's sold 2000 spaces a couple of years ago.
  17. Michael Duff - Defender Burnley and NI Warren Feeney - Striker Luton and NI There may also be some in the Irish league who would fit the requirements. Whats needed are scouts in Ireland, Poland, and further east. We could find superstars that fit into our wage structure.
  18. Yes
  19. Thats the attitude Johndo. Lets get behind the team and stick it right up em
  20. .....and points make prizes
  21. So are we now saying that the military coup in Columbia was CC's fault.
  22. Is someone now saying CC's to blame for that feckin earthquake. :003:
  23. Clacher, I think CB was trying to put a bit of lighthearted fun into this whole topic. What I cant see though is why it would be in his professional interest to back Charlie Christie. He's a school teacher and part time journalist for the BBC so what has he to gain?
  24. I would have expected him to at least be wearing the same socks as his team mates if he was the goallie
