  1. Final season in div 1 we were top, slipped back to 4th or 5th then one the fecker
  2. Its cos they were jealous that other teams had stars so they invented their own reason to copy.
  3. .....has brought us a player from Dingwall, one from Gillingham, one from Swansea, one from Romania and may yet bring one from Derry. We've trialled a Frenchman and an Austrian. That would indicate to me that there are people out there looking on our behalf. There is a shortage of quality CD's at the moment and has been for some time. Bet Falkirk wish they could find one as well. Cant really blame the management if there's nobody about who wants to come to us. The cry now goes out to play Steven Watt. Ok he could be a superstar but what are his achievements to date......Two first team appearances for Chelsea, a start against lower league opposition in FA cup and as a sub in a league game, three starts at Barnsley where he picked up three yellow cards. And two appearances at Swansea before he was injured. I hope I'm very wrong but none of that tells me we've signed what we need.
  4. I'd ask camelot to pay me out in cash.........used ten's and twenty's.
  5. Yes we should have replaced him.....perhaps we have in Watt, that remains to be seen but loads of people are coming on here and stating the obvious yet I haven't seen one good suggestion as to WHO should have replaced him.
  6. I can confirm the venue as Charleston
  7. Purely tactical. Montrose were playing well till the last third where the Stranraer defence were dominating.
  8. You'll be laughing at the other side of your face come 4.45 saturday.
  9. Today I blame the St Mirren goalie. We must bear in mind that a number of changes came about this season and some players, either are not good enough, or just have not had long enough to gel. Caff, for one, seems to be not quite up to it yet and I believe thats due to lack of matches at this level. According to Scotties report we had a number of chances but just couldn't find the net. Thats always been a problem area for us. Yes we need a proven central defender but there aren't too many about at the minute. I wouldn't be too despondant at the moment. We've had bad runs before and come through and there's a long season to go yet.
  10. Summer football no. However I would support a winter break.
  11. Wedding venue...... Tulloch Caledonian Stadium :001:
  12. 14 days, 6 hours and 58 minutes. and 2579 posts. Hielandee.....enjoy the moment for the Super J's are on fire :003:
  13. Would love to but I'm going to be seeking out my own favourite spirits..............in a Lieth bar :003:
  14. According to the listing on the official ICT site we have 12 midfielders and they are all named in the poll. I have no intention of distinguishing between attacking and defending mids. I just list them as they come.
  15. My choice would be McBain
  16. The setback is that we need to lose a midfielder to bring in another defender.
  17. Suggest you phone the club for confirmation. 01463 222880
  18. I believe they play at the Royal Academy, Culduthel Road. IV2 6RE
  19. .........or ?2000 a week.
  20. Courtesy of the Highland News Is Nessie new ICT striker's other goal? By Donald Wilson Published: 18 August, 2007 A ROMANIAN football website is suggesting Caley Thistle?s new star Romanian international Marius Niculae could spend his spare time Nessie-hunting. Hundreds of diehard supporters have been logging on to a link from the club site to a Romanian one but have been left scratching their heads wondering what it?s all about ? especially as there?s a prominent picture of Nessie. Now the Highland News has had it translated for our readers. The article says in his spare time Marius might try to succeed where millions of tourist have failed ? locating the elusive Nessie ?the famous monster of Loch Ness?. Slightly less flattering perhaps is a reference to Inverness Caley Thistle as ?the illustrious nobody? of Scottish football. The story also confirms the 26 year-old striker could be setting his sights on ultimately playing in the English Premiership. Caley Thistle?s director of football Graeme Bennett made no secret of the fact when the club signed international that it could probably be simply a stepping stone for Niculae. For the benefit of the fans, the HN has arranged this translation of the article on Marius: ?Niculae refused the Turks from Bursaspor and chose Scotland, which has the toughest championship in the whole Europe. ?The former judoka will not join Celtic or Rangers, but the illustrious nobody, Inverness Caledonian. ?The Scottish club is younger than Niculae. It was founded in 1994, when the Romanian was already 13 years old. In 2004, Inverness moved into the Premier League of Scotland, and, at the beginning of this year, the management of the team had announced that they would recruit Hagi and Gica Popescu among its scouters. They were not successful. They were not successful, but they managed to bring Niculae, who will earn EUR 450,000 per season. ?'There is no shame in playing in Scotland at a small team. If I score there, I could end up at the Celtic or Rangers. I would actually like to end up in England after Inverness, because I like that championship very much. If I score 10- 15 goals, I move to the (England) Premier League,? stated Marius Niculae. ?Declared enemy of Steaua Bucharest, the ex-Dinamo goal getter will have to wear the red-blue colours. ?The transfer to Inverness is an adventure for Niculae. In his spare time, the Romanian could try what millions of tourists never succeeded: find Nessie, the famous monster of Loch Ness, the lake which is only two kilometres away from the stadium Niculae will be playing at.? Despite what the website says, Niculae?s wages are believed to be in the region of ?200,000 (300,000 euros).
  21. I read those words as well Johndo..........in an HSE report on stress management.
  22. Jesu' Johndo, I feel very sorry for your clients if they are subjected to any of your quotes :003:
  23. I actually believe that would be Charlie Christie's way. He has ICT at heart and does not want to tie them into a position whereby, if he fails, they have to 'let him go' with compensation etc. CC will not stay if he cannot achieve the high standards and goals he sets for himself so he is making sure that when they do find the time its on the right footing. Bear also in mind that it may be Grazza who hasn't the time, after all he's doing his job of flying around the world trying to do deals with players. With searching and signing and the day to day running of the team time is probably of the essence.
  24. Seems to me that this thread is deteriorating into something it shouldn't. Phrases like "he deserves a second chance". Second chance for what? I cant say much on here because of the rules other than to say [modbreak=Edit by CaleyD]Sorry Alex, know where you were trying to come from and although I am in agreement, a "character witness" would fall in to the same category as other presumed evidence.[/modbreak] The way the thread is going is GUILTY TILL PROVED INNOCENT.
  25. You probably wont hear any of them aspire to being the next anyone at ICT nor indeed any other Scottish league player.
