  1. If we are going to attract better players to Inverness then salaries need to be upped a fair bit. They should still, however, remain similar across all the team so as not to nurture the primadona aspect. Mr Savage did state he would be investing in the club. Perhaps he'll take on some of the wage bill.

    Dods

Dods may well go to St. J for a year or so but my feeling is he,ll look at a club like Raith with a view to getting on the coaching ladder, which is the way he wants to go. I doubt we'd get very much for him in january and he has committed to staying till may. ICTinAngus, why would we want Thomson back. We have CC and Parkie.
  3. Dunfermline dont have the cash but, to be honest, they dont need our players either. They have a good squad of players but have serious fitness problems. Six of their first team squad were out on Saturday through injury. And these are not injuries inflicted by others but things like pulled muscles, possibly, the result of not training properly, not warming up properly or, maybe, just the wrong type of training regime. This is where the Brewster team could make improvements whilst, at the same time, learning a great deal from JL
  4. Never seen Blackie but there was two of the ICT youngsters, in tracksuits, sitting in the stand and one of them had a very prominent sparkler in his lug.
  5. champions. Waited ages to pounce and be 1000th word poster but nobody posted so cheated. :015:

  8. We were indeed top of Div 1 when Robbo took over. Then we made some really hard work of winning it. To be fair to one or two of the players Yngwie listed. Hastings was there for first two seasons in Div1 then crossed the bridge. Xausa went to Livi before the end of the second season. And Hart and Keogh didn't arrive till our fourth season in Div 1 Also, to be fair to Baltacha. He did take us to sixth in our first season in Div 3 amid a very bitter merger war.
  9. We are fourth in the league and we are there on merit. Wherever we are next May, we will be there through that very same merit. Those same words were said in August. But we took points from Aberdeen, Hibs and Celtic. Every team in this league is there to be beaten and we have the heart, passion and ability to do just that.
  10. Kieran, how about we finish anywhere in top six and just win the SC ourselves. Would that not be the best option.

  12. Colin Henry is taking the job with Johndo MacKenzie as his head case coach. :014:
  13. Craig Brewster made a big error in taking the DU job. At the time he was blinded by the thought of leading his home club. The sort of chance that may never have come up again in his lifetime. He shouldn't be slated for that. Dundee United will never be back where they think they should be so long as Eddie Thomson has control of the club. ET is not in place for the good of DU. He is there for ET. The man is an egotistical maniac who cares nothing for people other than those who agree with ET. Craig will take the Dunfermline job. He will get backing and assistance from Big Jim and he will show ET that he is a capable manager by seeing DU relegated this season. And whoever takes on the job at DU will find himself in the same position. The club has debts, ET will not put up further cash. The squad is full of inexperienced young lads who are going to take at least a full season to be moulded into a challenging team.
  14. I also thought Rankin was ok yesterday. Not yet SPL quality but I can see him getting there. He did get about a bit of the ball but this went un-noticed. When will our players take a split second to look up and see the runs instaed of punt and hope.
  15. Eight players were crap in the second half. Not just Duncan. St Mirren are quite physical and I think, had Black been playing, he would have been red carded. Does anyone else think some of our players need to look at their choice of boots. They seemed to be on their erse an awfie lot. (the players that is, not the boots)
  16. I believe Brew could do a job at Dunfie. They have a good squad but are seriously lacking in fitness. Brew had no chance at DU. He couldn't get players until the grocer had settled with the high earners which by the time that was done the window had closed.
  17. Just home. Game should have been won. We were by far the better team in the first half and deserved to go in at half time leading. Second half was like we wanted to play for a draw. We punted high balls, we gave away balls too easily. Players moved like they were glued to the ground. It was like we were giving them the ball to see what they could do with it. By the end of the second half I was surprised we hadn't been beat.

  20. No, No JB. Not true. We would also benifit cos if Dunfie win it puts us three points closer to second spot :001:
  21. CC told me he'll only ever go to Real and then only if they getb rid of Beckham first. And £1.5m
