Inverness CT -V- Stirling Albion - League Cup
Over the balance of the two games we are a fair bit below where we want to be, both in terms of performance & results. Bearing in mind the few pre-season games and the number of new signings, combined with players missing and yet to play I think we are justified in expecting big improvements in coming weeks - hopefully this will materialise by the time the league (important one) kicks off. Very interested to see how well Mr Hughes does in these crucial times.

To be fair his stats dont back that up, must've been the only defender who was cool calm & collected and believe it or not 'brilliant' that year, as we gave goals away like it was going out of fashion.

Kevin Mcnaughton barely played for us, I sincerely hope Broadfoot manages more than 14 games in the coming season.đ

ICTFC Squad Update 21/22/23/
Not a bad signing , but he's not going to be cover, he's going to be starting more often than not. Only question is whether it is at centre, or right back, where he played a lot for Rangers. If it's on the right it will free up Carson.

If 'streaming ' is the term used it should be live, or as close to live as it can be with equipment and bandwith limitations. If it's not live it's a download. Totally different product.

Anything but an Italy win will be a loss for football. Despite their undoubted wealth of talent England still can't play good football - the Danes easily passed the ball through them and only began to fade towards the end,as they subbed their best players off. Englands plan A, get it to Sterling wears thin pretty quickly, and if it wasn't for the pace of Kyle Walker they might have been in more trouble at the back. I respect how far Southgate has taken them, but his tactical limitations seem apparent as he has very creative players that are playing within a system that doesn't use them to the best of their abilities

ICTFC Squad Update 21/22/23/
Why? Not seen Anderson at all and fleeting glimpses of Morris hasn't filled me with hope for his signature. The reason they were on trial is due to the fact we are looking to try out players and their agents are looking to get them employment. I don't think we're in a position to sign every trialist, so we have to get it right.

Pre-Season 2021-2022
Once the competitive games start there will be pressure to play games, with presumably positive tested and close contact players missing. My workplace has seen a spike in track & trace reporting, strangely coinciding about a week after Scotland played at Wembley. What will happen after lockdown restrictions are removed will be anyone's guess...

Pre-Season 2021-2022
Hopefully our new sport fitness specialist is limiting the games for some of the senior players to prevent early season strains. As for the results - we would like to see big wins against HL teams but then people will just question the standard of opponent, and it is still early days. Either way we have to be aiming for a good competitive start this year - a poor start and early exit from the league cup is becoming a bad habit which has cost us later in the year.

Amazing financial muscle on show again from Cove..what is their average attendance anyway? I'm sure Vigurs can show Draper all the best places in Aberdeen to start on the door staff.đĽ

Euro 2020
It was amazing to see how Modric changed his position as the game went on, from being more advanced in the first to slightly back in the second halves. This game management basically won the game for them , as he was sitting outside the danger zone in the second while we chased his mates he sat in 10-15 yards of space waiting for the ball getting laid back to him. By the time the ball went to his feet for his goal he was so comfortable in his space he strolled up to the ball and just faded it into the net...lovely goal, but so simple. He used a lot of energy in the first half to get on top of our midfield , and nobody could get close to him ( when he had the ball). From our viewpoint I didnt see much,if any, of the passing that kept England at bay in the previous game, which can't just be down to Gilmours absence.

It's not about the falling down, but about how you get back up & become stronger for it...or something along those lines. Signs of talent coming through and a learning experience should help us get better from here on in. đ´ó §ó ˘ó łó Łó ´ó ż

I'll trust Clarke to make a good decision again - if we'd been hammered by England with a 20 year old bench warmer from Chelsea making his starting debut then I'm sure the conversations would have a very different sentiment in them. Although a few of the team had below par games against the Czechs, the fact they bossed the Croats for 45 minutes shows how well we did to make the chances we did...although we had the same problem against the Sassenachs - getting the ball in the net.
