  1. Unlikely.
  2. Agreed, both have been written off far too quickly, County fans did tell us that Zadi was just as likely to have a brilliant game as a stinker, if he's added consistency to his game, then who knows. Im pretty sure the consensous on here beginning of last season was that Cowie would bring nothing new to the squad.
  3. Like who?
  4. I think its fair to say that Imrie has been a pleasant suprise. I look forward to getting a full season out of him.
  5. Fair enough, perhaps it is merely a case of if you put anyone next to Considine they will look good. Personally I still think he is a very good player.
  6. Mince Reguarly go to Aberdeen games when Caley are playing away and I'm down on the pennies. I can tell you that he is far from mince.
  7. Me + 5
  8. Is Diamond not struggling to be fit for this one aswell? Pulls through an otherwise pish defence by himself usually. Kerr is a good player (backpassing aside) and Smith and Touzani are both very good technically. Severin's best days are behind him, and I'd like to see Blackie bossing him about from start to finish, while Chris McGuire will run himself into little Cul De Sacs, so not much to worry about there. I'm quite excited now. Time for a rollcall I think. ;)
  9. Steven Pressley was a cracking defender 2 season ago in a team only a couple of places above us in the SPL. Now he is injured too much and past it. Hearts fans were delighted to see him away for the money they got for him. Both are no longer the player they once were and ICT can do better now than to offer him a deal. I honestly don't think he is good enough. Agreed. Jackie McNamara was one of the finest Scottish defenders of his generation. Then he signed for Aberdeen.
  10. Were you winning?
  11. Oh dear... http://www.pieandbovril.com/forum/index.ph...8;#entry2636294
  12. He told you this personally or...
  13. Very, very unlikely. Aberdeen allocate around 1900 for away supporters, and at the very very most we will take around 700. Will most likely be pay at the gate.
  14. Erm, Dundee Uniteds coffers I guess?! We were only due about 10% of any fee so think we would have received ~ ?100k max. as part of that deal. I'm sure it was something like ?110k. We never saw any of that, nor did we ever see any money from Brown's transfer. I'm not complaining, I think its time some real money was invested into running this club as a whole (ffs, 4 years in the SPL and we are still using a portacabin as club shop.) On another note, anyone else see Dean Shiels rip the **** out of about 5 Barca players in one go yesterday :023:
  15. Agreed, would be good if this is his career back on track. Look forward to big things from Marius, all the best if he is leaving. Now, can we have Dean Shiels please?
  16. Yes but Rory doesn't have almost a goal a game ratio for the under 21's. Pardon me, just checked, it was with the under 19's that Rooney had this ratio. He only played twice for the under-21's. Carry on.
  17. Really?
  18. Apart from one bad run (we had one under Christie and Robbo in the SPL) Brew has done nothing that wrong. He has picked the same team each week that most on here would have gone for, the team are as physically fit as any in the SPL, and we've put in some terrific displays (not just Celtic, we ripped Hibs, Falkirk, Hearts and Killie new aresholes.) And where does this no clue in the transfer market pish come from. I suppose Dargo, Proctor and Imrie have been useless signings, while no-one on here likes the idea of a fully-fit Esson, or even this lad Rooney. Noel Hunts been pretty poor at Dundee United aswell I guess.
  19. As much as I was against Brewster's return, I always thought that his satutre in Scotland and number of contacts made him able to attract quite decent players. Agree about background though, I still think Brew can do a job, but bringing him back so soon to SPL football after one Scotland's worst ever managerial stints at a club was very amateur indeed.
  20. Agreed. Im one of the few pro-Brewster fans, but his signings so far have replaced or backed-up a certain position, none of them look like strengthening our current squad (i.e better than the current crop.)
  21. I was always under the impression that tennis players were technically not professionals and made all their money off of sponsership, prize money and the like?
  22. BBC?
  23. Yup, played for Scotland School-boys as a striker and scored a goal against England that involved him putting 7 or 8 defenders on their arses before curling it past the keeper. He must have been some striker if England felt the need to play 8 defenders, formation must have been 8-1-1 He really was.
