  1. Falkirk. Scored a peach yesterday.
  2. Im game, I actually hate Celtic and Rangers games because we loose. It's pathetic but true. Might make the day a little more worth while.
  3. Have I missed something interesting?
  4. Cares enough to go to the games you mean ;) Would anyone notice if Brew didn't go to games?... The person that sits behind him :thumb04:
  5. Cares enough to go to the games you mean :018:
  6. Yup, and if we don't draw United, It will be another long trip.
  7. I love the way Imrie celebrates every goal as though its his last
  8. Hibs fans have been screaming for Hughes since Mowbray left.
  9. In terms of the SPL, Rankin is clustered in the large group of players all very capable on their day, but all very similar in ability. He was a good player in our squad, but as has been shown at Hibs, he is an average player.
  10. Our club are not in a position to turn down 100k for (in the grand scheme of things) average football players.
  11. Rankin hadn't bought a house at that point. He was told by Brewster that he didn't figure in his plans and then made a move to sell his house in the North. At the same time he was brought into the team and turned in some fine performances. Far from persuading Rankin to stay ICT and Brewster now had a form player who they could command a higher fee for hence the numerous bids from Falkirk and St. Mirren but ICT kept wanting more and more for John. My mistake. However, It was Christie that dropped him in the first place, and I stand by my original point, when a team like Hibs come calling with 100k, neither the club, nor Rankin himself, were ever going to say no.
  12. True....it's not as if he walked out on us only days after giving a big speech about how grateful he was to ICT for giving him his chance in management and how he was committed to the club.....oh no wait, that's exactly what he did. I have said this before. If one of us was manager of, for the sake of argument, Falkirk, and ICT, the team we have supported since we were a child, came along with the offer of a bigger budget and more money, I don't think very many of us would say no. But I am very concerned at the way things are going right now. However, I said I will give Brewster till Christmas, and I won't go back on that.
  13. Have you ever seen Boyd play? He's got no fight in him whatever doesn't track back is well overweight and can only score against the diddy teams ( check how many times hes scored against Celtic or Aberdeen or in Europe ). Not 100% sure why you bothered to resume this thread, but that reply just needs an answer. Boyd is unfit. End of story. He does however have a lot of fight in him, as does Novo. Boyd never gets to play against the likes of Celtic or Aberdeen for Rangers, however, at Kilmarnock his record against the bigger teams was just as consistent with his record against the smaller teams.
  14. Christie dropped Rankin at the start of the season. Rankin then bought a house in the central belt, only for Brewster to come in and put him back in the squad. Brewster than tried to persuade Rankin to stay, however Rankin already had his house and wanted to leave. If Rankin had left for St. Mirren or Falkirk I'd have seen your point, however he left for Hibs, one of the biggest clubs in Scotland. He probably doubled his wages and got to keep his house. Not to forget the 100k transfer fee we received.
  15. If Black leaves, my faith in Brewster goes with him.
  16. Just saying it like it is, but Cowie isn't consistent enough for the step up yet. 1 in 3 games are good at the moment. I actually think Cowie is perhaps the better player, but if anyone is going to step up it's Black. He just doesn't have bad games these days.
  17. Definately not us anyway RiG's right, in terms of sheer noise, Celtic, with Rangers flooliwing close second (although when either side is loosing you can hear a pin drop.) In terms of noise per fan (if there is such a thing) Falkirk can be pretty noisy, as could Dunfermline before they were relgated. I seem to remember ICT fans were the loudest last December when we beat Celtic after being 2 nil down !! EASY EASY EASY :thumb04: Fantastic atmosphere that day Twas indeed a fine atmosphere that day but, they still outsung us overall. Not that I think its a competition, merely that the day were ever as loud as that lot is the day Caley can (almost) justify seliing tickets at ?22 a head

  19. I went to school with Dan, terrific player, part of the senior team that got to the Scottish Cup final at Hampden (although I think he'd left school by the time the final came about).

    At it again !

I hate to rain on your parade Billy, but the vast majoirty of the noise came fom the lads standing at the back. Yeah, thanks for that (fyi, there was plenty of noise coming from the lads in the seats beside me). However standing up is not actually a pre-requisite for singing/chanting/noise generation. Plenty of noise by our standards possibly, but other than the odd rendition of Caley Caley etc, it was the usual suspects making all the noise. There seems to be a feeling on here that we have a noisy away support, but with the exception of a few lads that do a stirling job, our travelling support is pish in terms of atmoshpere.

  22. I've seen enough of Barrowman now to decide that he is a natural goalscorer, who will when given time click with Rooney. Boyd is the same, he works best in a 4-4-2 with a hardworking striker to put the chances on his plate. I also quite like the look of Barrowman's link up play, his effort (not to be confused with his lack of pace) and his first touch. For him to work he must be given a sustained run in the team, but I for one think he his good enough to cut it at this level.
  23. Oh for
  24. Barrowman coming on. Oh and Bazza.
  25. For all his good play, penalty aside, Rooney can't buy a goal.
