  1. Trying to cut through the press speculation this is a direct quote from Savage. “We have a couple of opportunities – a Portuguese company, who have just bought (Serie A side) Monza, and they want to buy a club in England and a club in Scotland as part of their overall plan – Inverness could fit well with them." Marinakas is greek and already owns an english club so that would seem to rule him out based on the quote.
  2. The plan is to stabilise the club and get it fit for selling to an investor. I imagine it will then be up to them to sort out any investment in the squad and/or the future of the manager based on their vision for the future.
  3. Ketan Makwana should celebrating dodging a bullet. Not a chance he was doing a deal knowing what we know now.
  4. He rejected a 2 year offer from us and then spent a year in Portugal before returning to play for Elgin. He didn't do anything to really impress against us that I noticed so don't think we missed out.
  5. True. They'd probably have it on a tshirt and be waving a flag demanding equal rights for drunks.
  6. Isn't it incredible that us gen xers seem to be responsible for producing a generation of snowflakes? If only kids were half as resilient now as we were then.
  7. I didn't say 'get real' I said 'keep it real' and that was in reference to the claim there was only one shot in the first half which is not accurate. I've already said how I feel about the outcome of the game today and if Ferguson was to leave tomorrow I'd be delighted. We had more shots and shots on target than any game I can recall since Ferguson arrived so something changed/improved.
  8. Be as happy or unhappy as you wish. The claim was we had a single shot in the first half and I was highlighting the inaccuracy of that. Fwiw I'd love to see a new manager also but I'm not going to exaggerate the situation to try and make my case.
  9. That is accurate but your previous comment wasn't.
  10. There were shots from both Bray and Longstaff and Mckay had more than one in the first half from memory. I get that some people have made their minds up on Ferguson and want him gone and I'm no fan of his either. However today wasn't nearly as bad as comments from some are suggesting. Keep it real.
  11. They scored with their first shot of the game and totally against the run of play. Devine looked to be at fault but will wait for the highlights to be sure.
  12. Crowd announced as 1902. Hard to judge numbers where I was sitting in north stand but main stand was fuller than I've seen it in a long time and that number seems about right. Good to see a match and half time draw sponsor. Ferguson spent the whole game encouraging the team to get forward but as said above we weren't fast enough in doing so and we need to work on our counter attacks. Also if the team have spent all their time to date playing a different way then it might time a game or two for confidence to grow with changing to a more direct approach. Great to see us taking chances from outside the area but we kept slipping back into trying to walk the ball in. Devine was off his game but I've not seen enough of him in the last 18 months to know if that was out of character. Pass marks for most of the players and the keeper looked comfortable. He also mixes it up a bit with distribution which was about the only thing I would have faulted Ridgers on. Overall I wasn't disappointed with the performance but frustrated to not have taken more advantage of them being down to 10 men.
  13. Thought we've been decent so far apart from the goal.
  14. Genuinely feeling upbeat about going to a game for the first time in ages and it has nothing to do with any expectations for what may happen on the park.
  15. I didn't mean literally burn them more that trying to punt them on the cheap might be false economy and a kick in the teeth to everyone who's pre ordered at full price. At least there should be no excuse for player sponsors not getting a shirt at the end of the season.
  16. Developing land around the stadium isn't a bad idea it just needs to be done separately from running the club and not spending any income until it arrives in the bank.
  17. Anyhoo it's looking lke a lovely day for the game. I've not witnessed much duncball firsthand and hoping for a more attack minded approach to the game. He needs to let the players on the park show some of the fight we're seeing off of it. My biggest wish is to see Billy being played in a proper forward position and banging in a 300 game celebratory hat trick.
  18. ...as I said.
  19. These exact same comments were being made by fans when Gardiner was appointed. Excuses abound for the little things because he was just in the door, needed time etc. That turned into bigger things and it all got us to where we are now. Don't get me wrong I think Savage and Christie are a million miles from that and I don't expect there won't be blips. But if we sit silent and don't express concerns when we have them then the club can't review what they do.
  20. If it does transpire that there is a huge excess of shirts then it may be financially prudent to burn what we don't sell this season. How long is left on the ILI sponsorship? Let's not forget that they have played the club and play a part in where we are now. They were behind the battery farm and use of the carparks for the red john hydro planning was instrumental in getting it accepted so they could then sell it.
  21. I've not suggested the club don't conform to rules but I do find the wording of the statement very confrontational. "Come along and enjoy the game. Make lots of noise to support the team but please don't bring pyro and keep the stadium rules in mind. A link to the rules can be found here" Something of that ilk in the matchday info page is all that's needed at this point. I will also be there tomorrow. Glad to be back cheering on the team in person and happy to be making a financial contribution again.
  22. There are ways and means of communicating these things. I understand that there may be some concerns that fans may get a little overly excited given the feeling of relief that exists now and the club might want to ensure it doesn't get ott and people get carried away but just say that. That statement reeks of the gardiner pish that we've all had enough of and thought was behind us.
  23. https://ictfc.com/safety-message-to-supporters-and-other-stadium-users/ 'ICTFC takes a zero-tolerance position in respect of unacceptable conduct and any behaviour that could tarnish the clubs reputation' Even at this stage I don't think the club are in any position to be warning fans about tarnishing the clubs reputation. Pots and kettles. Was any of this statement really needed?
  24. Glad to see Christie clear up his position here and the fact he won't be interfering with how Ferguson sets out his team or tactics. It's not his job as ceo to do that but it will be his job to do review who is manager if results don't improve. I think he made that point pretty clear.
