Our squad next season
As he was looking for us to cover the difference between his wage here and there then it's possible we paid him/them.

I want to see the interviewer explain to him that he needs to go mining for his new player budget.

Hopefully our fans at the game don't turn on the players. Not their fault we're in this position.

Supporters Trust Statement on New Investment by Seventy7 Ventures
Supporters trust did nothing on the kelty situation. They refused to support a boycott never organised the protest they said they would and even put out a statement saying fans should buy tickets and merch before changing their mind shortly after. They have been weak and passive in all of this. Even the recent statement says they are pleased with the news despite not knowing the first thing about it. Rome is burning and they're fiddling.

Beat me to it. Despite my earlier post, I'm finding it hard not to be worried by all this. It's got similar characteristics to what was done by tulloch to move debt away from the club along with stadium ownership. Worse because we don't know the first thing about the person/people behind it.

Given the lack of any obvious finances Makwana could be just a front man.

You may want to google Panos Thomas and his involvement with Watford.

Let's wait and see without going all google warrior on the guy. There's very few successful business people who don't have a few red flags including some who have been very good to us in the past.

It's not a concrete source but they are close to an existing board member.

Devil will be in the detail but it has to be better than the existing situation although I'm told Gardiner is to be 're-hired' by the new group.

Conformist or Non Conformist ?
I imagine a chunk of the support are people with no strong affiliation to the club and attend purely for the social aspects and a liking for football in general. There's certainly no shortage of those who hold/held season tickets on both sides of the bridge. They will be largely apathetic to goings on behind the scenes but if they feel that the club may not see out the season then not buying a season ticket is an easy decision. Especially if they're not enjoying the product on the pitch. There will be many other reasons for fans choosing to stay away beyond those in the poll but not much which is encouraging people to attend. That is the main issue just now. Looking at the prices I see that everyone other than the under 20s has a reduced season ticket price this year. That strikes me as petty and counter productive especially if they want vocal support for the team on the park.

Conformist or Non Conformist ?
More fool them if they want to play daft laddie and bury their head in the sand. There are numerous accounts of fans including me who have tried to contact them and not got so much as an acknowledgement.

Conformist or Non Conformist ?
I think that oversimplifies the situation. Whilst many will verbalise it as 'not paying towards SGs wages' it is ultimately about getting him away from the club. If he was out the door and still being paid the remainder of his contract I would be more likely to return. I hear the arguments for him being hard to extract and that he is working his notice but nothing is happening and we're not being told how or when that will be. For me the only means I feel I have to try and get the club to listen is by withholding my money and others may be the same.

Looks like someone's trying to pick an argument. Anyone selling popcorn?

Rose: League Cup @ home
Well done to the team. A nice win and a few goals will do wonders for the confidence.

Business as usual in the main stand then.

That works both ways.

Season Tickets + Resignation Confirmation
That's a total rewrite of what played out. Fans were consulted at the meeting and the trust then went against the majority view that there should be a coordinated boycott. It was only more recently that the trust changed their stance on this. As I already said in another post they were going to organise/back a protest but that never transpired. This seemed to be offered as an alternative to supporting a boycott. Right now it does feel like the trust are no better than the club in promising one thing and doing another and that's not good. We both appear dissatisfied with them but for different reasons and that is telling in itself.

So fans do nothing?

In Dunc I TRUST
He pretty much admitted to this in the end by saying he was only repeating what he had been told.

Madness that a keeper of his ability is now playing Highland League.

Rose: League Cup @ home
I will actively discourage anyone from attending home games as it is my view that in doing so it prolongs the status quo. Although I can't understand why anyone would want to do that I do respect their right to do so. I won't hate on them for that but I will be critical. I also understand there will be sections of the support such as those with kids who don't understand the implications of off field politics and won't want to deny them going to the football etc.
