  1. CaleyD - you may have picked up on the fact that I don't fancy Sheils for the gig. I've had the misfortune of listening to his histrionics on Radio Scotland on numerous occasions so my previous comments are simply my personal opinion on the guy. I don't see how this constitutes misrepresentation. Graham Speirs is one hack promoting Sheils' appointment and there have been several others singing his praises. To me his cringeworthy rants are manna from heaven to these guys. They want him back in work as his pantomime dame act gives them plenty to write about. I don't want him at ICT but as I'm merely a punter expressing my opinion on a supporters forum I seriously doubt the powers that be or Mr. Sheils will be losing sleep over my thoughts on the matter. I kind of thought that was the purpose of a forum......
  2. If I can summarise the above it would appear that apart from coming across as an utter gobsh1te in the media and slagging off our geographical location at every opportunity Kenny's a really great guy. My sincere apologies for misrepresenting Kenny in previous posts. The pro-Sheils media spin doctors are desperate to have rent-a-quote back in work as he gives great copy. A massive whopper but we'll get acres of cringe inducing column inches in the press........dearie me I could almost greet at the prospect.
  3. It's difficult to put into words how much I detest Sheils and his attention seeking, rent-a-gob, media persona. People on here seem to have short memories with regard to the constant pops he had at our temerity to be based out with the central belt. I trust The club will be laying on daily flights to the sneck as part of his deal. Pro-Sheils apologists hang your heads in shame.........
  4. I honestly cannot believe anyone would seriously suggest Shiels or Adams. They are a pair of utter d1cks. I couldn't bring myself to cheer on a side managed by either of these beauts.
  5. Why repeat what you said fifteen mins ago. Technical hitch. It's still boring me to tears mind you.......
  6. This whole palaver is boring me to tears. I have a great deal of respect for Terry but he's making a right pigs ear of this situation. He and his advisors should have had the deal done before the whole thing became public. Dragging this out all week with us heading to Easter Road on Saturday is far from cool. Time to bring this to a conclusion and move on.

  8. Very sad news. There can be very few people who've attended more ICT games and it would be nice if the club could mark Milkey's passing in some way. RIP.
  9. If we end up entering at 2nd qualifying round, as the saintees did, then there were plenty of great awaydays last season: AIK Stockholm Hajduk Split Red Star Belgrade Young Boys Berne Servette Geneva Twente Enschede Legia Warsaw I'm in Tuscany for both legs and have advised Mrs Ymip that myself and Ymip Jr will be ditching the womenfolk for a day or two. First Euro away leg will be greatest moment in the club's history imho. Lifetime ambition achieved for me WHEN we do it.

    Vetle Andersen. Thread ends.
  12. Nice one Terry. Let's hope this has the desired effect in terms of maintaining our fantastic form and convincing players to commit to the club longer term. Bring on the Jambos.
  13. Cheers Yngwie. I was hoping that post had been erased from the archives. Many thanks for trawling this one up and confirming beyond a shadow of doubt what a clueless halfwit I am
  14. Fantastic achievement sitting second top at Christmas. Time to get the passports looked out ?
  15. This thread makes me want to shoot myself in the face. Same garbage from Bannerman every time - Self appointed merger expert. Off for a lie down in a darkened room.
  16. Were we on Alba? Will need to have a gander later. I trust I didn't disgrace myself. Today could have usurped Cowdenbeath 96 if the ref had read the script. Slightly deflated tonight.
  17. That was an incredible away day. The first two goals were suicidal defending and I would put the third down to shell shock from the horror show. Given it was so early in the game I feared a mauling but we steadied the ship and after our first goal I sensed we could peg them back to some extent. Great performances all over the park; Raven, Foran, Andy Shinnie and obviously Billy's hat trick performance was top drawer. The Arabs gave us a nice chorus of "are you Dundee in disguise?" when number three hit the back of the net which was returned with gusto when number four was scored. Richie was going absolutely nuts over the pen which looked dubious to me. Lucky he never saw red and he was still screaming his head off at the final whistle. Hard to believe we were actually pretty deflated at the end of what should have been one of the all-time greatest wins. Never a dull moment. Bring on the Dees.
  18. I honestly despair at the comments of the “voices of reason” on here. You guys must have been an absolute barrel of laughs in your youth. The smoke bomb (not a flare) was completely harmless and added a bit of colour to proceedings at Dingwall. I can assure you we got up to a lot worse back in the good old/bad old days of the eighties and early nineties If you’ve ever watched football on the continent you will no doubt have been impressed by the pyrotechnics and general mayhem that goes on inside the stadiums. Regardless of what clubs and the authorities say it’s instrumental in making football the great spectacle it is. The Northern Constabulary are using a totally harmless incident to justify over zealous policing of home fans who are probably the most meek and mild support in Scottish football. Let’s face it they collectively sh!t their pants when the old firm are in town and let them run riot inside and outside the stadium. The young lads in Section E are quite simply an easy target for them in comparison. So endeth the rant.... Old Heads Contre le Foot Moderne.
  19. One that will always stick in my mind was an away game at Cowdenbeath during our 1996/97 3rd Division Championship winning season. We went one up early doors, Cowdenbeath came back at us and we we’re trailing 3-1 with 17 minutes to go. Herchie pulls one back with 14 minutes to go and then we huff and puff and throw the kitchen sink at them until in the 89th minute we win a penalty. Brian Thomson steps up to convert at which point the travelling support are going nuts thinking we’ve fluked a point. Not to be outdone wee Stewarty pops up in injury time to seal an improbable away win. Absolute mayhem ensues and the Cowden fans are doing their nuts at us. An absolutely fantastic day out watching a legendary ICT side in their pomp. Anyone else on here at this one? 19th October 1996 Cowdenbeath (3) vs. ICT (4) Attendance : 330 Cowdenbeath goals: Petrie (17) Winter (49) McMahon (73) ICT goals: Brian Thomson (4) Alan Hercher (76) Brian Thomson (pen) (89) Iain Stewart (90) Starting line-up: Jim Calder Mike Noble Richard Hastings Iain MacArthur Charlie Christie Davie Ross Mike Teasdale Paul Cherry Marco de Barros Iain Stewart Brian Thomson
  20. Adams really is a graceless, greeting faced *****. We murdered them in the first half - better football from better footballers. To be fair they came at us in the second half but his comments regarding their utter domination are frankly laughable. Biggest laugh of the day was the sight of those Caley/County "friendship" scarves - please tell me the half-wits responsible went home with the lot. Thumbs up for the smoke bombs.
  21. Ross is an ICT legend and I personally find it very disappointing that people chose to boo him at the earlier league game. The offer from the club was quite frankly insulting and gave him no option but to seek pastures new. I would hope that he will br treated with a bit of respect tomorrow, same goes for Granty. There are plenty of other guys on the park and dug-out more worthy of abuse.
