  1. I think I've read every report on the interweb this morning and have to say Alternative Maryhill's report surpassed them all by a distance. Gold star and keep up the good work.
  2. I was half expecting the Lothian Saga Crew to sail past The Young Stoney Ultras on Cleppington Road in a motorised bath for the full LOTSW effect.
  3. I can only echo the comments above. Today's result that is right up there with our very best in the SPL. The second goal knocked the stuffing out of United and from there on in it was a stroll in the Tayside sunshine. The scoreline was totally justified and I would suspect most United fans would agree that we were well worth a cricket score today. We were sharper, fitter, more agressive and looked a right good side for much of the game. United were admittedly dire but they were, by a distance, third club in the country lasts season so today's result was beyond my wildest dreams. Hats off to Terry & Mo and al the lads for today's performance - outstanding.
  4. The Antwerp fans were class. They hit the nail squarely on the head when they sang, in perfect English, "Your support is f***ing sh*t". Friendly or not the crowd and level of encouragement was utterly abysmal. Full marks to the club for arranging two decent friendlies this week but the apathy today saddens me - excellent weather, European opposition and a tenner in - what more do folk want? I would love a return game in Antwerp next summer but I doubt they'd be particularly receptive given the pitiful support we mustered today. The game itself was ok with Nick Ross and Kenny Gillet the stand outs for me. Gillet could be turn out to be another very good signing.
  5. Any Caley cup final in Elgin during the eighties/early nineties. Generally a brilliant day out involving beaviour that would be frowned upon in this day and age but was quality entertainment at the time. Been to two Champions League finals at the Stade de France, Real Madrid vs. Valencia in 2000 and Barcelona vs. Arsenal in 2006. Both were pretty memorable events. Also attended several French cup/league cup finals involving PSG. One involved non stop swedging between various PSG ultras the other, a memorable PSG victory over Olympique Marseille, resulted in being pelted by irate OM ultras and being forced onto the autoroute on my 50cc vespa by French riot police (not advisable!). Two lively evenings that will live long in the memory.
  6. My man at the game tells me the highlight of the first half was Judd's attempts to read out the Valladolid team lines.
  7. We have teams participating in the Umbro Dublin Cup this weekend. Coaches could be scouting but more likely just taking in a game when they have the opportunity. I think Charlie C might be over there in his youth development capacity, could have been him at the Bohs game.
  8. We were up in Inverness a couple of weeks back and Mrs ymip suggested we nip in by the stadium and pick up a new home shirt for ymip jr. She was mystified as to why the club could not get the kit in the shop for the summer holidays, as am I. The young fella has patiently hung in there since May waiting for the new shirt and I have to expain to him that unlike every other club in Europe we seem unable to get our new kit on sale until the new season is upon us. The club must realise that this sloppy Errea time keeping loses the club hard cash it can ill afford to pass up in the curent climate. It's not like this is a one off, it's the same shambles every time we change shirts. We seem to be the only SPL/SFL club who rely on Errea and unless the club actually gets the shirts for free I can see no reason as to why we persist with them.
  9. Could Steven Mackay be Gary Mackay Steven? The young lad from Thurso who joined Liverpool from County a couple of years back. He's been released by Liverpool and played on trial for Peterhead recently.
  10. Welcome Calum/Calum's Dad/Calum's agent (delete as applicable). :love06:
  11. Welcome AntwerpOne Nice clip. I was hoping you might make it up to the Jupiler League this season. Do you think you'll take many fans to Inverness?
  12. Looking forward to this one! Royal Antwerp played Falkirk and Dundee last season and took very decent support with them who seemed to enjoy their trip: Falkirk Linkage -> Dunde linkage-> They also played Bristol City a couple of seasons back and took a massive support with them. Bristol City Linkage -> They're a bit of a sleeping giant of Belgian football but are currently languishing in the 2nd division. As pointed out by Yngwie they have a tie-up with Man United and will have a fair few African players in their ranks.
  13. Quite possibly my favourite ever day out following ICT. A proper old school ground, Highland League bogs, a fantastic noisy away support, a breathtaking performance from the players from start to finish, three pitch invasion and general pandemonium throughout. Best of all ymip jr was there to witness a truly brilliant day in the Ayrshire sunshine. Awesome. p.s. Nice to see you and the Edinburgh troops yesterday Born Caley. Hopefully catch up at Tynecastle/Easter Road next season.
  14. For Sale: 10 litres of Silver Polish - Unused Christmas Present.
  15. Would be nice to win it in style at Ayr next week. Come on!
  16. Wha's in Charge Here ? Championnees!!!!!!
  17. Umpteen County fans mailing Radio Scotland greetin' about decisions going our way. Robbo as you'd expect telling them to dry their eyes. I hope the County happy clappers on here are listening!
  18. Sounds like we're riding our luck BIG TIME!
  19. McBain to start. Good decision from Tel.
  20. Yngwie has hit the nail squarely on the head. County's success today is undoubtedly bad news for ICT. The Highlands cannot support two clubs operating in the upper echelons of the Scottish game - it's a simple fact of social geography and economics. In very simple terms a business looking to spend some money entertaining clients at a game in the coming weeks is more likely to opt for the glamour of a trip to Hampden over the Dundee game on May 1st. To be honest the County happy clappers on this thread make me cringe. My six year old ICT supporting son has more of a clue than these whoppers desperate to bask in the glory of County's day in the sun. The thought of alleged ICT fans cheering on that charlatan Barrowman at Hampden makes me nauseous. Please rememeber to remove your staggy jesters hat and face paint before returning to the TCS next season. One team in Highlands!
  21. Relentless! Seven points clear wth four to go. COME ON!
  22. Bulvitis on at Right back. Proctor into midfield.
