  1. Yes, histrionics. He's not even a dirty player. iBM hits nail squarely on head. Some of us need to put things in perspective. Our disciplinary record is not good this season but do you honestly think OTJs two reds justify the bullet ? Have a cup of sugary tea and a lie down. it'll all seem better in the morning.
  2. TSNY - are you for real ? Absolutely ridiculous thread. Please spare us the histrionics.
  3. Embarrassing scoreline. Shipping goals at an alarming rate and a full two weeks before we can address the problem. Woe is me.....
  4. Kirk Broadfoot seen exiting blacked out Megabus in Farraline Park. Whisked away in Global Energy liveried stretch hummer in Easter Ross direction.
  5. Blackman holding press conference in Tarry Ile.......live on SSN at 21h00.
  6. Andre Blackman on loan until January according to SSN.
  7. Decent performance last night with Andy Shinnie standing out. We should have come away with a more convincing scoreline but fair play to Bullock who saved the Lichties from a potential drubbing. He definitely takes the stick well given the questionable subject matter of the abuse he gets. Gayfield has got to be one of my favourite away grounds - you just can't beat switching ends at half-time. Also, fair play to wifie on turnstyle letting myself and three young boys in for £20. Funny how clubs who need the money most are the one least likely to fleece you. Hampden here we come.....
  8. Reading his tweets you'd think he'd been sent to the Soviet Gulags. He should have joined us at Gayfield last night for the full on culture shock. Anyway best of luck to the Young Gooners.

You're absolutely right. If County sign Riordan then they will have a bigger c@ck in their squad than us.....
  10. Nice one. Also one of my favourite away days and just down the road from us. Yngwie, could be a high police presence for this one after the Young Stoney Ultras' last trip to darkest Angus I think I might leave the miscreant at home this time and join the last of the summer wine mob in the pub. ymip jr might need to drive..... I would encourage as many as possible to make the trip - a proper football day out.
  11. Just back from the game. I was trying to update from match but was having problems logging on. What can I say........pretty dire stuff from start to finish. Brechin opened brightly and created a good few chances. The first half was heading for stalemate when the ball broke to G. Shinnie in the box and he lashed it home. We went in one up but I would say that was very fortunate. Second half was equally unmemorable. Brechin pulled one back and then got the winner late on. I'm struggling to think of anything else worthy of comment - it was that bad. I went along quite enthusiastic after reports of our Coventry performance but saw very little to suggest we are ready for a long hard SPL season. I would suggest Terry was far from impressed with our performance either. Worryingly Cooper limped off just before half-time which is a worry giving the dearth of fit defenders at our disposal. Starting line-up; Esson, Cooper, Meekings, Foran, G. Shinnie, Sutherland, Draper, Jones, Dorran, A. Shinnie, McKay Subs used: Laing, Pepper, Polworth, Oswell, Morrison, Ross Many thanks to the Steward who confiscated a bottle of water from my 3 year old daughter. He'd obviously clocked her as a potential troublemaker. Mind boggling jobs worth who'd previously mucked us about in the car park. I trust he'll be as brave with he NewCo hordes on Sunday.
  12. Yngwie - KO is down as 7.30 on ictfc.co.uk
  13. Poor old Buenos Hornell must be feeling it bad at the moment. Not only does he have the post-merger anguish to deal with but his beloved teddy bears are no more and the queen shook hands with Martin McGuiness. All we need now is for him to start following the staggies and they'll be back in the Highland League before you know it.....
  14. For the first time ever myself and the full compliment of Young Stoney Ultras will be in attendance tonight; ymip jr, miss ymip and ymipette. Almost a home match for us and due to mrs ymip having a prior engagement I've resorted to bribing the youngest into attending with the promise of sweeties and juice. There could well be a repeat performance of ymip jr’s infamous projectile puking at Harlaw Park, Inverurie. An incident still talked about fondly on our travels. I wonder if the Chelsea Hedgehunters have ever been to Brechin.......

    Clach v ICT

Please tell me the N.Novo comment above is a wind up. I thought the hun posterboy would be rushing to the aid of NewCo.
  16. I'm going to sound like a broken record here but mysely, mrs ymip, ymip jr (ICT diehard), miss ymip and ymipette are off on our summer jollies on Tuesday. Ymip Jr has been harping on about getting next season's strip for his holidays and as per usual we have no product to purchase. This happens every summer and it frustrates me hugely that an SPL club is unable to secure a delivery schedule which coincides with peak kit buying season. Funnily enough we're off to Italy and within reasonable driving distance of Errea's base in Parma. I'm thinking of nipping past and encouraging them to get their finger out and get the bleedin' gear delivered.........you never know we might even get our mitts on a strip before the club do.
  17. Buoyed by our resounding "No" vote I'm waiting with bated breath for Terry and Mo to roll out their seven new faces. I preseume Warren is one of the seven but I'd be rather disappointed if OTJ and Martin Laing are included in the seven we were promised. Pre-season training starts bright and early on Friday morning and we were assured that the squad would be re-assembled ahead of this - can we expect a flurry of announcements over the next 48 hours ? Let's be having you Tel........
  18. RiG - He's bettered himself finacially. They have a great deal more history than we have and a bigger fanbase but they have underperformed since the late eighties. We played them four times last season - we won twice, they won twice. They finished two places and four points ahead of us in argubably our poorest ever season in the SPL. I totally understand his desire to leave us for pastures new but this is a pretty poor move at this stage in his career imho.
  19. Slap up tea at Union Square Nandos for Jonny tonight. I would gladly wish him well if he was furthering his career but this is nothing more than a sideways move. Sure, AFC are a bigger club than ICT but they've been gash for approaching 25 years. Head-to-head last season they were clearly no better than ourselves and I honestly can't see that changing any time soon. Bad move.
  20. Credit where credit's due. Mr. Cameron has had the courage to come off the fence and indicate that we will be voting for integrity over self interest. I just hope others will have the guts to follow suit.
  21. This guy is an utter tool. An attention seeking gobsh1te who seems to have the maisntream media eating out the palm of his hand. He should concentrate on avoiding further six goal horsings next season and maybe ask his chairman to grow a pair and stand up to NewCo.

    Ian black

I spoke to a former ICT legend a few weeks ago who had spoken to Blackie the previous day after Butcher was quoted as being interested him and David Clarkson. Let's just say that Blackie made it very clear that he wouldn't be returning North. I would suggest that this and the McFadden "rumour" should be in the "pipe dreams" section.
  23. That is an absolutely dreadful pre-season programme. How on earth is this supposed to prepare us for a season of SPL football ? We had tougher pre-seasons in Highland League days. I really do worry about where this club is heading......shakes head in disbelief......

I appreciate that it's not always easy attracting young Scottish players to Inverness but are you honestly trying to tell me that you believe Tansey and OTJ are on £700 a week ?!? I'm not picking on the non-Scots but starting a game without a single Scot in the team is, imho, not acceptable. A major factor in the decline of Scottish football over the past 15-20 years has been the reliance on average inpats to the detriment of the development of young Scottish players. As I've stated previously I've felt little or no affinity for the guys out on the park this season who appear to be going through the motions and don't appear particularly committed to the cause. Can you really blame them when they're on one year deals and know full well they'll be moving on again each summer? Just look at what County achieved this season with a largely Scottish squad of players. They've finally realised that stability and a strong nucleus of guys who are settled in the area pay dividends. It's exactly what got us from the third division to the SPL but we've ditched that for a model which I feel is destabilisng the historic ethos of the club.

Colwyn Bay !?! Give me strength - another non-entity with no concept of who we are, where we've come from and what we're about as a club. Someone within the upper echelons of this club seriously needs to take TB aside and point out that we are a Scotish Premier League side and it might be an idea adopting the radical ideology of signing one or two Scottish players, or heaven forbid a player with some connection with the area. I'm not expecting eleven Invernessian diehards out on the park every week but personally I'd rather see us signing Highland League/3rd division players than witness a repeat of the 11 non-Scots debacle. This season has undoubtedly seen a lack of fight, spirit and passion and filling the squad with itinerant journeyman on one season deals has to be a contributory factor in the predicamenet we find ourselves in.
