Just went into the club's website to see if there was anything about Hughes.

I happened to notice that the league table is in points order rather than reflecting the split, implying we had a much better season than we actually had.

I assume the club imports the table from somewhere rather than it being wishful thinking.

Some light relief in our current uncertainty?

It's an omen. Top Six next year for sure ;-)

In other words conveniently ignoring the fact that Caley Thistle only had bottom six counterparts to play in the last five games while two of the teams placed "below" them had the more successful top six clubs to contend with.

Charles doesn't do 'light relief'

The BBC website did the same too for a while before the columns were edited to encompass the split.

I dont care.....forever in our shadow.......the fact was we got more points from the same number of games......hehe

Not when, just as the last time this happened in around 2007, people were seriously claiming fifth place whilst in the bottom six.

Ah yes, I can see now that is a matter for solemnity and grave shaking of heads.

The table on ICTFC is the same one as is on this site. I think Scotty will confirm that the table is a piece of software that knows not how our split works so is not programmed to understand that higher points mean lower placings.

Can you create 2 tables and place on top of each other?

I can double up on the people round the dinner table if the wee ones sit on your shoulders

correct. the table uses the data that we provide and the software cannot handle the split ! any budding (or expert) php/sql experts are welcome to assist us in updating it as its on the to-do list !

if you share with me the php and sql query for the table, I can have a look.  PM or mail me.  Cheers.

To be fair, we would have finished with fewer points than County if it weren't for the 9 easy points we got for humping them off the pitch every time we played them in the league last year...

But we returned the favour by giving them an easy passage through to the semi-final of the wee cup.

Yes, it was high time they won something. They'd really been letting The Highlands down, dragging along in their dour sort of way without even a national cup to celebrate.

The league cup might not be much, but hey, at least it's something. I thought it highly decent of ICT to help them on their way.
