Surprised to see Chris Hoy win a UK wide popular vote but delighted for him as he was the most deserving contender on merit.

Of the 55 or so winners, 4 have been Scots, 3 Welsh, 2 Irish (incl NI) and 43 English (plus 2 Canadians and 1 South African).
