  3. We are having a bucket collection at stadium tomorrow so bring plenty change. We are also selling raffle tickets in the bar for a chance to win a seat at Carl Tremarcos table on Sponsors Night on 17th October. As well as the chance to meet the players.

  4. Harping back to the football old days means nothing nowadays. The game was played at a snail's pace when George Best was at the height of his peak with Man United. Would these players drinking and smoking make it to the top level of today's game? I doubt it.

  5. St Johnstone fans might be surprised by the view that Coyle's managerial success was confined to Burnley in much the same way as Motherwell supporters might be somewhat taken aback by the suggestion that Butcher only enjoyed success with us.

  7. That's just the way it ended up after the Sports Bar was added and turnstiles had to be added/moved/removed etc.

  8. Not a fan of Roy McGregor but at least he makes decisions quickly and leads from the front, something sadly lacking from our board in recent seasons.

  9. Let's regularly fill the other three first, before worrying about that, eh.

  10. Maybe so but the main thing is that it has been done now. We had, for many years, a Premiership team but have never had anything approaching a Premiership infrastructure. Good to see a bit of progress off the pitch. A lot more to be done but this represents a good start.

  13. The sad thing is that the young crew bring a lot of much needed enthusiasm and atmosphere to the crowd when they behave within the boundaries of acceptable behaviour. When they do that, they have great fun, the rest of the fans enjoy the atmosphere they create and the guys on the park appreciate the support. But there will always be a small minority who either have no idea where the boundaries are or a simply hell bent on causing trouble for some reason or other. When they do that, there are others who either follow like sheep or join in because they aren't mature enough to resit the peer pressure. The more sensible lads then stay away because they don't want to get sucked into any trouble. Get rid of the tiny number of ring leaders, the sensible ones will return. Keep the behaviour within the boundaries and everyone's a winner. But just to get a bit of balance here, it is not just the young lads whose behaviour is not always within the boundaries of acceptable behaviour. Some of the abuse shouted at players, officials and opposition fans by much older fans would get them evicted if they behaved like that in their care homes. It is not a good example. When some of our more senior fans behave in such a disrespectful way and escape any kind of censure, is it any wonder that the youngsters choose to break through the boundaries too?

  15. Personally I think it would be more correct to say we won our first silverware despite the fact that Hughes was in charge. I'll explain that in more detail when I have more time to collate the facts which support my view.

  16. Surely you and the club aren't denying a charity the opportunity to collect funds by allowing a group to rattle buckets to subsidise their own past-time instead? If that's the case, then shame on you guys for asking and shame on the club for allowing it.

    • Inverness CT -V- Montrose - Second Leg (0-0)
As much as we have criticised the Caley Jags performance on Tuesday night, let's not lose sight of the fact that Montrose are a decent League 1 side with a good blend of experience and talented prospects. For our part, let's keep them as a good League 1 side and that means no room for faffing about. Time has run out now, there's no hiding places and no room for shirkers. Ditch the sideways passing or put goal posts in front of the Main Stand and tuck shops.

    • Montrose 0-0 Inverness CT - Play Off 1st Leg
      FULL TIME: 0-0

All to play for on Saturday, but don't hold your breath...

However, if we continue like this, it will be our final game this season.

Best performer for us was Samson Lawal, the only bright spark on the field.

Alloa 2-2 Hamilton was the other semi-final score tonight. On this evidence, I doubt either side will be quaking in their boots.

    • Inverness CT 3-1 Morton - Report
It was a lovely evening for a game of football, what could possibly go wrong? Well, what did go wrong was Queen's Park beat an understrength Airdrie 2-0 at Hampden, therefore despite beating Morton 3-1, Inverness head for the play-offs. Morgan Boyes opened the scoring with a thumping volley after half an hour. Kirk Broadfoot benefited from slack defending to level before the break then proceeded to earn the wrath of the home support with an embarrassing celebration in front of the North Stand. Cammy Harper relieved Billy Mckay of penalty kick duties and duly slotted home from the spot ten minutes after the break. The scoring was completed just after the hour when Sean McAllister drilled home into the bottom corner. Robbie Muirhead had been sent off for simulation then taking a wee fit to himself and was promptly sent off after 58 minutes just after Harper had knocked in his penalty kick, probably aggrieved that he never earned a spot kick for his dramatic dive.

    • Inverness CT -V- Morton - Preview
Well, where do you start. It was clear from the begining of the season that something was wrong. Poor signings, dismal performances in the League Cup followed by an abysmal start to the League campaign saw Billy Dodds removed from his position after winning one point in the first six Championship fixtures and replaced by a man with no track record as a manager. A sort of publicity stunt if you like. After the initial new manager bounce wore off, we found ourselves little better off with Big Dunc than we were with wee Billy. We did claw ourselves up to the coat tails of others but the most damning part of our season has been our inability to score goals, especially at home. Only already relegated Arbroath are worse than us. Our team is now full of mercenaries, loan players with no affiliation to our Highland pedigree and many fans have tagged us as being the worst squad ever in our short history. Where are the Golabeck's, Tokeley's, Wilson's..... Much of this can be attributed to our lack of financial nous in the boardroom, failed ventures and now the begging bowls are being put in place to save our club. Having drawn at Dunfermline last week thanks to Aribim Pepple's first goal for the club combined with Billy Mckay's penalty miss, it's now out of our own hands. LAST SIX: D L  W W L  D

    • Dunfermline 1-1 Inverness CT - Report
Out of our hands now: It ended in disappointment for the 319 visiting fans with news that Queens Park had hammered Arbroath 0-5. To rub salt into the wounds, Sheridan and Welsh were amongst the scorers. It's out of our hands now, but it's a must win next Friday and hope Queens Park falter.  Inverness play Morton and Queens play Airdrie. A draw might be enough, but it's a long shot.

I'm not convinced that Billy Mckay was the right man to be taking that penalty, his second failure from the spot in successive games against the Pars.
