    Positivity

Too much positivity on here, we don't handle positivity well, get back to normal please.
  2. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOO
  3. Aye congratulations to them all. I spoke to him yesterday and he was chuffed to bits and ready to celebrate.
  4. Boooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
  5. Jesus Christ, we can't cheer our own players. I will be disgusted if anyone cheers him during the game, unless they are St Mirren fans.
  6. It's not broken, so don't try and fix it. Duff and McGuire to start, with Grantie in reserve.
  7. mental, could you not get your busted poster fixed?
  8. Geezo, Federer bullied Murray the same way Murray bullied Nadal. Just brutal display by Federer, he truly is a great champion. I thought he was unlucky to lose to Nadal at Wimbledon and he showed tonight what a master he is. Closer than the score may suggest, and in the second set Murray had him on toast, but the effects of his punishing semi with Nadal seemed to render him helpless to the Federer onslaught as he tightened the screw at the right time in the second set and eased his way to victory. Well done Roger, worthy winner, and fantastic performance by Andy to get to the final, just a step too far though.
  9. The US Open is played on DecoTurf, an acrylic hard court. deco turf linky thingammyjig
  10. Murray has been simply awesome in the US Open. He is hitting the ball much harder now and playing much more aggresively. He completely outmuscled Nadal. Who would have thought that after Nadal's stunning performances at Wimbledon. It was fantastic to see Murray run him ragged last night and when Nadal was struggling for breath after another epic rally the writing was on the wall for him. The second last point, 22 shots of the highest order from both players ending with Murray the victor, and Nadal bent double absolutely knackered after chasing back and fore across the court retrieving thunderbolts from Marray's raquet.........fabulous stuff. Wonderful wonderful performance by Murray with some shots quite frankly just breathtaking. He is now showing the correct attitude and aptitude, this could be his chance at a slam event, but don't rule out Federer, he is the Master at the US in recent years.
  11. I hear what all the grumblings are about Roddy. The CIS cup does throw up lots of odd results as a lot of the bigger teams don't always field a strong starting eleven. Crowds are generally poor for this competition as well. It is disturbing that the likes of Barrowman & Rooney did not exactly set the heather on fire and we all know the limitations of Rory & Wood. Go back three weeks, we stuffed Aberdeen in their own backyard, nobody gave us a chance, but we did it. These games are about testing the water. It should have been a confidence booster but it wisnae. Do you know this, if Brewster had fielded his strongest eleven throughout the match and won 7-0 we would still have dissenters complaining the likes of Rory and Wood never got a game, what an opportunity for them. Spectre or somebody got it right, we conserved some of the lads energy for the real bread and butter of the SPL, that is where we will be judged by all. And we still won through to the next round, what a team, what a manager.
  12. It's all been tried before, but apathy takes over Andrew.
  13. Lot of fuss about nothing. The Edinburgh clubs, our national capital, have both been knocked out and the history books will show that Inverness are in the next round. When did we get this big club mentality..........we should have hammered them............... We are poor at being favourites. Arbroath gave us a fright, enough said. Positives fom last night already mentioned by those at the game, nothing new in the negatives either. Barrowmans red card is disappointing and the performances of Cowie and Imrie will need to be worked on. Some of last nights changes were forced on us, with Proctor, Duncan and Munro injured. Jimmi Jabbi will need to be careful. Black is one of the few constants we have had so far this season and simply oozes class. Vigurs is the one to make an impact again, and Duff seems to have impressed also. Esson given a start, as was Zibi last season in this competition. The only real alteration that the manager should have made was splitting the young strikers with either Rooney or Barrowmanoff. The bottom line is we are in the next round. It's only the league cup, a competition that a lot of clubs can do without.
  14. Arbroath score first Rooney 1-1 Tosh over Tokely 2-1 Esson save Imrie 3-1 Arbroath score Vigurs 4-2 ICT win 4-2 on penalties
  15. barrowman sent off whatever next
  16. Commentators saying it has been an uncomfortable night for SPL team. Esson made late save to Deny Arbroath and Rooney forced an even later save from Smokies.
  17. Jimmi Jabbi gives away a penalty 2-2, Sellars scoring, extra time looming.
  18. Wood scored in the 64th minute.
  19. we have eased to 1-1 at half time.
  20. Better still, here is a report from www.highlandleague.net Young Caley Jags book final berth Inverness Caley Thistle will face Nairn County on either Saturday Sepotember 20th or Sunday September 21st in the ITP Solutions North of Scotland Cup final as the youngsters collected their third consecutive clean sheet to see off Wick Academy at the Tulloch Caledonian Stadium. The home team were the first to threaten with former Elgin City loanster Zander Sutherland scampering down the wing and producing a fine cross which was met by Shane Sutherland, but his header from eight yards flew over the bar. Wick's first shot on came in the 19th minute, Gary Farquhar striking a Craig Shearer lay off towards goal but it never troubled the young Caley Jags keeper. However it was Inverness side that were looking the likelier to score. Shaun Carrol shot wide from a Shane Sutherland lay off then Dale Gillespie fired a 25 yard range finder straight at Don Macmillan. The opener came in the 36th minute, and it was a cracking strike from one of the North's top young talents. Midfielder Dale Gillespie let fly from all of 30 yards and the ball zipped past keeper Don Macmillan to the keeper's right. Wick responded positively and two minutes later Richard Macadie cut in from the left and fired a 20 yard effort at goal, but Kyle Allison made a comfortable save. At the other end Don Macmillan had to look lively to deny Shaun Carrol, diving to his right to make the save. On the stroke of half time some neat passing involving Richard Macadie and Gary Farquhar saw the former strike a shot over the bar to leave the score 1-0 at the break. On the hour mark a swift break up the field saw Gary Weir play in Nigel Mackenzie but a great blocking tackle prevented his shot from testing Kyle Allison in the Caley Jags nets. At the other end left back Graham Shinnie was denied by a fine save from Don Macmillan, the former Ross County keeper palming the ball round the post for a corner, however it was the post that was to deny sub Nick Ross who cracked a 25 yarder towards the bottom corner. One minute into injury time the home team booked their place in the final when Shaun Carrol was on hand to slot the ball home from close ranger to set the seal on the result. Full Time: Inverness Caley Thistle 2 Wick Academy 0 Reporter: Luke Bunch
