This is the first game me and the kids have seen this pre-season. Good to see some of last years experienced players and introducing some new talent. To be fair, my kids got bored in the second half when the 4th goal went in ( they are quite young) , but they did get a high five from Shinnie as he headed off the park, so they were happy. Others around me not too impressed by the new signings, but Kel has a knack of getting the best out of people, so time will tell. Pre season friendlies are ‘Exactly what it’s says on the Tin’. Unless there was a particular player or team I was wanting to see I tended to give them a miss as they are normally hard work on the eye. 0-4 to our close neighbours serves some purpose I imagine in that it’s a clear wake-up call. Cabo Verde were brilliant. They weren't just putting everyone behind the ball, they attacked in numbers when they got the chance and ended up winning 8 corners and having 16 shots at goal. Argentina were hanging on at the end. One stat I heard was that the Cape Verde goalkeeper has completed more successful dribbles in this world cup than Ronaldo!
