  2. Much better performance tonight after Saturday's nightmare on Grant Street. Great to see Alfie Stewart back in the heart of midfield and solid enough performances across the board. Ryan Duncan took his goal very well and two nice headers from Bates and Kargbo late on. Kerr Smith looked pretty steady alongside Danny as partner in the centre half pairing for bulk of the game. Also interesting to see Shae Keogh replace Calum McLeod at right back at half-time. The squad is certainly shaping up now. Bring on the Fifers.
  3. Today
  4. Totally agree on the new away strip. Absolutely dreadful with no meaningful connection to our history. Replace the gold with red stripes and then you're talking 😂
  5. We won 4-1. Duncan, Bates and Kargbo added to Mackay’s first half goal.
  6. 2 x Alfies starting Spoony & Chalmers turn up Last pre-season game at Cove Rangers ended in a 1-4 win for the Caley Jags Goals from Trialist (no 14 Dan Mackay), Ryan Duncan, Morgan Bates and Hamzad Kargbo give us the win in our final pre-season match. Highlights picked off X 10' | 0-1 GOAL! Trialist No 14 Dan Mackay gives us the lead! 20' | 0-1 Good save from Logan Ross as he tips Trialist (No 14) for Cove's effort 22' | 1-1 GOAL! Destiny Oladipo uses his power & strength to equalise! After a delightful touch on the halfway line, Destiny holds off numerous challengers as he burst towards the Inverness goal before chopping inside and striking low past Ross with the aid of a deflection. A brilliant solo goal from the big man! 27' | 1-1 Spoony's corner finds Devine in the box but his header is over. 30' | 1-1 Good pass from Alfie Stewart finds Alfie Bavidge but his effort is saved by Robbie Mutch. HALF TIME: 1-1 48' | 1-2 GOAL!! Great play from Ryan Duncan down the right as he drives into the box and fires it past Robbie Mutch. 55' | 1-2 Another great run from Oladipo shrugging off 3 players but his effort is saved by Logan Ross. 59' | 1-2 Joe Chalmers sees his effort from range saved by Robbie Mutch 64' | 1-3 GOAL! Morgan Bates heads in from close range! 72' | 1-3 Good ball in from Graeme Shinnie is headed over by Hamzad Kargbo 73’ | Chance for Cove to reduce the deficit. A slack pass from Ross falls kindly to Fraser, who drills a shot straight into the goalkeeper’s chest. The rebound drops to Stephen, who looks to place his effort into the corner, but Ross recovers brilliantly from his earlier mistake, producing an excellent save with his foot. 86' | 1-4 GOAL! Hamzad Kargbo heads in from close range as he finishes Liam Sole's cross! That ended the scoring with everyone getting a run out. FULL TIME: 1-4
  7. I didn’t think it would be possible for Trumpfantino to debase this great tournament anymore than they already have done but they sure did. To wake up to that great result from Belgium just proved to me that Karma exists and is alive and well!
  8. The new away strip looks like what the old lags would be wearing when they are transferred over to the new prison when it opens. bc
  9. Needed some good news. Our signings so far have been underwhelming and don't start me on the new away strip. Honking.
  10. We’ve got our other Alfie back too, great news!
  11. I've not bought an ICT shirt for a good few seasons now. Generally speaking the price is a put off for me, however, I would have definitely purchased to 30 year top but, at the time, the club was in disarray I didn't want my money going to the those clowns in charge at the time. Anyway, back to the present day and the new away strip. Mrs Gringo said 'It's the worst ever' and tend to agree. As we're not a million miles away from Wolves (who nobody likes round here) it wouldn't have been nice to wear it here. Also my thoughts on the shirt sponsor have been aired and that would have been another reason to keep my beer tokens in my wallet.
  12. Pile the pressure on this cretin Infantino. The Spanish league (La Liga) president Javier Tebas has called out FIFA (or by implication) Infantino with their ‘complicit silence’ on the Balogun CARDGATE shameful debacle. Well done Tebas and the La Liga. They have the balls to call out this crap behaviour for what it is - Simply corruption and the effrontery of the rules. I wonder if our national football executives, President Mulraney and CEO Maxwell have the spine and courage to put their heads above the parapet and denounce FIFA. Well, thinking about that, that would need a stiff drink and something they lack; vision, conviction and spirit! I bet Infantino was secretly praying and cheering on Belgium against the Yanks. His skinny a*s must have been twitching in his seat before Belgium secure the victory. PS - Tried feathers for breakfast today but couldn’t swallow any more FIFA bile. bc
  13. Given Ronaldo's great affection for himself, I would certainly be putting on gloves if I had to shake hands with him! It's reported that Balogun visited the Belgian dressing room after the game, and they told him that it wasn't his fault. That's good, from him and from the Belgians. Back to football now, please.
  14. Just for the record, it was Belgian waffles this morning :) Draw a line, move on. It will forever be in the history books and with UEFA going after Infantino before the tournament and now (quite rightly) issuing that statement in support of Belgium before last night's game, the current head of FIFA's days may be numbered. You know it is bad when even Blatter is saying it was a bad decision. England should NOT appeal the red card. You are right to say this sets precedent, but they should take the moral high ground. If it were Kane or Bellingham perhaps they might think about it but with all due respect to Quansah, his studs up challenge is not the hill to die on for this question unless they want to be as reviled as the USA team yesterday.
  15. Its a miss on this one for me I think. I like the neckline as I hate round neck shirts so anything that is V neck or polo style works for me but thats the only positives. I can't see why we chose the colour. My first thought (other than Wolves too) was that it was like a Motherwell top that's been washed 1000 times and faded. Like/agree with the idea of having the away strip being some combo of our traditional colours of red/black/blue/white that is not in use in whatever design we use for the home strip that year. Loved the 30 year strip but the reality is that most people did not get to order it as there was a miniscule run and not in all sizes. Would happily order this if we brought it back
  16. I'll make it up for you, it's horrendous!!!
  17. 2026-27 Away Kit Launched - ICTFC The away kit has dropped today. I can't make up my mind if I like it or not.
  18. No way should England appeal the ban. Now that the USA are thankfully out of the competition, we are back to a level playing field with regard to suspensions for red cards. The focus for England and the other teams still in the competition should be simply to prepare for their next games as best they can within the current rules. If people are unhappy with the rules, they can be reviewed once the competition is done. Beyond that, there should be some quick repercussions for Trump's (ultimately counterproductive) political interference. It makes the prospect of him presenting the trophy even more distasteful than ever. Participating Football Associations could lobby for the trophy to be presented by Ronaldo. It was sad to see him playing for Portugal as a shadow of his former self, but he is one of the greatest players ever to play the game and this would be his only chance to get his hands on the trophy! I am sure the players of which ever team wins would be honoured to shake hands with Ronaldo but would be putting on disposable gloves if shaking hands with Trump.
  19. I think now England should appeal against the Quansah ban. When the appeal is turned down they should then put FIFA on the spot and ask them to clarify what the difference is. If FIFA should un-ban Quansah then it would need the moral high ground to be taken and him not be considered for selection. Not one person outside of the USA wanted anything other than a resounding Belgian victory. Teams should be aware of this feeling before considering an appeal on red cards yet to be issued in this tournament.
  20. Both trialists have had injury issues but clearly both good enough for the Championship. We clearly need an additional tall back four player.
  21. Nice to wake up to that result!
  22. Apparently Trump knows a lot about sport, but doesn't understand red cards He hasn't been to a single match...which is strange since he invented the game
  23. Yes...cheat your way of that one Trump and FIFA. Nobody likes a cheat...goodbye USA.
  24. Thank you Belgium
  25. Yesterday
  26. Sounds very much like Joe Walters isn't getting signed up so we just have Daniel Mackay and Kerr Smith in on trial at the minute. Sounds like we are waiting a bit of time to make a decision on Daniel with no indication on how long we'll wait to make a decision on Kerr. Source is Billy McKay 😁.
  27. A shocking decision, just showing how corrupt certain people really are.
  28. That would be the simplest and most classy solution from the manager. Plenty could question the manager's choice but no-one can supersede it!
