  1. Past hour
  2. Indeed. What assets do we have to sell, and who would buy them? The battery firm is either worth nothing or worth up to £3m depending on the appeal outcome, but the club now seems to own only 1% of that company after 3 directors subscribed for new shares in it.
  3. I don't actually blame Dunc really. Clearly wasn't up to the job or what we needed. Should never have been appointed. His failing is stubbornness though.
  4. Will always be a legendary footballer but became part of a self preservation society.
  5. Dougal never invaded the pitch. He was a bricklayer down the Carse Road in the 80's
  6. I have just been told about the rolling contract and I am also told that there is some form of contracted early pay-off clause. In different circumstances I could stomach that BUT. I hope that Dunc does the right thing. His interview prior to the Hammy game was shocking. I can accept injuries, taking over at a very low point, loss of key players and loanees. I can also accept the style of play but there was a lack of a Plan B. As Yngwie alluded to earlier the adaption of the playing style and the chopping and changing may not have helped. I really hope that is not one of the excuses provided if and when any statement comes around. But lets face it we were beaten by a far better team - we were beaten by a team that played as a team and evidently gave 110% for the shirt. We certainly had those clearly giving it all and, looking at the player poll for the game, it appears that we all know who they are.
  7. When I was their age I probably wouldn't have wanted away fans taking over our house either the fault lies solely with stewarding and policing initially allowing the Accies supporters on to the pitch. With regards to heading back to their big teams the younger crew have less baggage in that respect than their older counterparts who always had a big team and a small team ( Highland League) growing up in Inverness I know I did. I saw a guy in his 60s in the cold weather wearing an ICT scarf and Rangers gloves in the main stand this season so lets not start preaching and hoping that much needed revenue, and game day atmosphere disappears out the door ( leaving just the faint rustling of Werthers) I'm 58 so remember the reality of terracing which could be violent without the need for choreography. All clubs need to attract a younger support they are the life blood of the club like it or not.
  8. I do think the stewards are partly to blame surely? The club do pay for their services and deserve a professional service. With few numbers surely the sensible thing would have been to contain one end? Probably the Hamilton end due to smaller numbers? Harsh on them maybe but. They failed miserably to control anyone in the end.
  9. With apologies to the Proclaimers !! When you go will you send back Some money from the Battery Take a hike down the A9 And shaft somebody else I looked at the league table Tried hard to imagine The way we felt the day you failed Across the Highlands and afar We should'nt have trusted you We should have told you But you knew our loyal, sense of timing Alas we waited too long GARDINER NO MORE MORRISON NO MORE FERGUSON NO MORE ICT TILL WE DIE
  10. Aye bring back those glory, holy days of the 70's and 80's
  11. Just checked the Club website, can also add Callum Macleod to that list.
  12. Today
  13. Not a comment specific to Carragher as such but while some or all players don't want to drop to league 1, I'm not convinced many have shown they are above or even equal to that level. Perhaps a few need to have long look at their expectations vs ability over the summer.
  14. Strange question. Why does no one ever ask him the proper pressing questions ?
  15. Very possibly by selling assets. Administration doesn't guarantee that the club continues.
  16. You’re missing the point completely regarding the problem of fan behaviour and the pitch invasion at the end of the game. The security of the players and those attending the match is the responsibility of the club (ICTFC) - It start and stops there. With respect, anyone with half a mind on past high pressure, edgy and potentially volatile play-off football matches would fully know there was the chance a negative result could spark trouble. Throw in a toxic CEO and Chairman, it’s fairly clear the warning signs were there. Now, in my option, the aforementioned CEO and those in the Board and club responsible for this security were fully aware of the risks. - The fact no police were in attendance during the match was a calculated decision by these people. It costs money and for those ‘like minded people’, the SMART decision was to leave the fans to themselves. Any cost of any potential trouble could be sorted out and picked up by calling the bobbies and public purse. SMART!! I can’t and will not blame the match stewards (below minimal wage on zero hour contracts, shipped in on a mini bus from god knows where). We had in the north stand the young team led by drunk fat 16 year adolescents or drunk fat 20+losers (take your pick). As soon as the first Hamilton goal went it the inevitable unrest fermented. Led by these sad clowns dads with kids were targets for abuse and intimidation. Items were thrown on the pitch (ref picked up one). At the end of the match the Hamilton fans ran on (wrongly) to celebrate a wonderful (unexpected I would say) result with their players. Who was responsible for this - ICT football club. The then response by ‘our’ young patrons was to respond and led by the aforementioned halfwits was the flood onto the park. All so predictable and all so sad. The responsibility to protect the players and ground staff lies solely with the Club and here they were again found negligent (by design or incompetence) and I fully expect them to by fined by the footballing authorities for this gross dis-ownership of responsibility to secure the ground for the match. Maybe it’s a parting ‘gift’ from some on the board for the club. If you have a complaint regards the security at the match I think it came down to cold calculated costs and opinion / attitude of those in control of the club.
  17. Not sure of their contract situation, but don’t we also have Corey Patterson, Sam Nixon and Jack Walker on the books?
  18. An Accies team from 2010 would have probably pumped us to be fair.
  19. If you're tagging MacGregor as injured best do the same for Doran. Nine months out apparently.
  20. What happens if we get relegated????? Well as I was leaving the stadium last night waiting for the Police to deal with a few scuffles and keep us away from the Hamilton fans, I heard ( because one was crying and letting others know), that two young females from the shop / admin staff had lost their jobs and were told after the match. Likely more to follow, but that seems to be the harsh reality of the situation.
  21. Gotta find content for their social media accounts
  22. Well to be fair we as older fans were all warned from the birth that a day like this would come. I have certainly being slated over the years for my views but once again I’ve being proved sadly right. FACT there would be as many Invernessians celebrating last night as there would be crying. The DNA is fundamentally wrong it reminds me of dolly the genetically modified sheep. Important thing is how we now go forward I personally thing part time football is a given if the clubs finances being reported are correct. Sad reality is a lot of people will lose their jobs if this is the route that’s taken. Regroup and restructure over the summer is the answer hopefully administration is just a malicious rumour because if that happens we will start next season with a -10 point deficit Dougal
  23. Can't be welcomed at both. He'd have to pick a flavour first which would determine his alignment
  24. @IBM thank you. Maybe this thread can be pinned to the top now as its got the latest info and allows discussion on the squad next year. Top work pulling that together.
  25. If the club have any sense they won't bother with an interview. They'll post a video apologising for the cluster f'ck of a campaign they've overseen and make a commitment to get fans back by doing things right on and off the pitch instead of chasing daft get rich quick schemes that would make Zack Morris blush.
