We are a small group of football supporters that have an interest in the Scottish game in general and would like to introduce you to our website www.SPLrefs.com which focuses on referee-related stats, articles and interactive features.
More and more decisions made by SPL referees are coming under scrutiny from the fans, football clubs and the media. The purpose of our site is to allow you, the fans, an opportunity to come together as a football community and share your views on controversial incidents relating to SPL referees and their decision-making.
It's important to note that the site is not about berating SPL referees week in, week out as they do a decent job in difficult circumstances. It is about looking at decisions that could have been made better and through raising these issues, in time, we will hopefully see improvements in the overall standard of refereeing in our game. Our ultimate aim is to be able to liaise with the SFA in order to share your views and allow them to respond.
The success of the site is wholly dependant on your participation. We would like you to leave constructive comments on our articles and respond to points raised by other fans, in addition to this, we would like you try and help support the site financially by opening up account(s) with some of our site partners.
We have provided statistics on each individual referee which show the number of yellow and red cards they have given out at league, referee and team level, along with the number of times they have been the man in the middle for your team.
Thank you to Don and the admin team for allowing us to post on referee-related threads and in return we have placed a link to CaleyThistleOnline on www.SPLrefs.com
Please click on the link and have a look at our site. I'm sure you'll be surprised to see some of the facts and figures our site throws up - feel free to share your views, we'd love to hear from you!
