Good luck to Burnley and Owen Coyle in the Championship play-off at Wembley this afternoon. It would be great to see them playing in the Premier League next season.

EH???

Burnley 1-0 Sheffield United

Wade Elliot - stunning goal

He played for Rep Ireland internationally but he's from Paisely so I'd probably call him Scottish.

Well done Burnley, and Owen Coyle in particular. When we played them in the pre season friendly, who'd have predicted the differing fortunes of the two clubs at season's end?

Good to have another Scottish manager in the Premiership....

Even with his Irish connections....

Will Celtic go after him?

Very true - quite a contrast.

RiG said we would go down :024: :) :021: :021: :021: jk

Prob will but hopefully Coyle will be loyal and stand by the club since he got them to the premiership. Plus i think he would rather play against the like off Man U, Chelsea, Liverpool etc.... than Hearts, Falkirk, Killie etc.....

Oh no! Does this mean that Borrowman scored against a Premiership standard defence after his goal in pre-season? :tonguecheek:

Well done owen coyle. delighted for him!

Hope he stays with Burnley to give the PL a bash, what a job he's done!!

I read that Graham Alexander has played in all 61 of their games this season...aged 37.

What a guy!

Great result for Burnley and the wee added bonus of ?200,000 for the Dee from the promotion clause in Kevin Macdonalds signing contract :014:

Oh chit....

Do you think they might buy a player with that?

Congrats to Coyle. He's done an amazing job at Burnley. One wonders what would have happened if we'd have gotten him instead of the wonderful Brewster!! :014:

Yep scoring 11 goals aswel pretty good for a defender. Alexander has never played for a scottish club.

To think we got Brewster instead of Coyle.

Thats an amazing job he has done with Burnley and good luck to them in the premier league next season i say.

They've played and beaten the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea on penalties and were within touching distance of overturning that 3 goal deficit against Spurs so they have got spirit.

I can see them being a supirise package next season.
