I thought he went to a second division french side. Cant remember what they were called but i think they begin with G.

They were called Clermont or something.

On wikipedia, it says he had a trail for Raith but thats it

Yes, two per game I believe. In the first home game of the season, Ayr had Robbie Winters as a trialist playing for them.
