Clyde

I see that Clyde are almost certainly to be relegated to Division 3. It seems like only yesterday that we were heading down to Clyde to be bit players in their promotion to the SPL! In a way it's sad to see how far they have fallen, perhaps a lesson for all smaller clubs.

John MacCormack "parted company" with Clyde today as relegation seemed inevitable.

It wasnt that long ago that Partick fell from SPL to D2 so it is definitely a lesson for all ...... if you add Gretna and Livi to the mix, and maybe even Clydebank it shows you how precarious it can be

I do feel bad for them. They were close behind us when we went up first time round. It's weird how it all works out.

Im tempted to take the reigns and see if i can get them promoted back into the 2nd next season.

The type of people they had going on open trial days there this season was ridiculous. 1 guy went because he was " the fastest in his street" Thats fair enough if he lives in the same street as Usain Bolt. It does not however make you a footballer.

Clyde were a team who spent big to try and gain SPL membership. They failed and are still paying for it. Gretna and Livi are another two who are now paying the price. Kilmarnock spent big a few years ago and are also paying the price now. If they go down they will turn part-time. Dundee have spent a lot. Will Melville continue to subsidise or will they be back in the sh!t once again? Add to all that the problems at Aberdeen. They have no money to compete. Hearts and Hibs the same. Motherwell are just getting back into it but still cant compete on level terms.

All these things are happening because two greedy teams are allowed to get into tens of millions in debt, without penalty, and the whole Scottish Football set up revolves around them and is geared up to support only them.
