Don't see why. Jimmy Calderwood got yo-yo side Dunfermline into Europe and relegation candidates Aberdeen beyond the group stages of Europe. Just look at the SPL table placings for the last ten years for Aberdeen:

2000/01 7th.

2001/02 4th

2002/03 8th

2003/04 11th

...CALDERWOOD JOINS

2004/05 4th

2005/06 6th

2006/07 3rd

2007/08 4th

2008/09 4th

CALDERWOOD SACKED

2009/10 9th

Tell me who outside the OF wouldn't want that record?

it wasnt jimmy they apointed it was colin

League wise it is certainly a good record but his Cup record was poor and included some embarrassing results against lower league teams. His style of football wasn't particularly great and he was offered a fairly generous transfer budget over the years, certainly when he started anyway.

Apologies for going OT.

You might want to re read the last couple of posts...
