mark McGhee

Just been confirmed as new Bristol Rovers manager.

Whats your view on him, not a great spell whilst at the Dons?

Abysmal record at Aberdeen, although he's by no means the first decent manager to go there and fail miserably.

Many good managers have the odd disaster on their CV, including our own Terry, so its not surprising that Rovers are overlooking that and giving him a chance. He ought to bring about improvement in a team that is struggling near the bottom of the "4th division".

Bad move imho. I heard a lot of stories coming out of Aberdeen about the way he treats his players.

For some reason I actually want to like McGhee .... perhaps it was something about his playing style, I don't know ... however, I just cannot do it.

With the exception of some moderate success at Motherwell, taking them from 3rd bottom one season to 3rd in the table the following one, his managerial career has been peppered with relegation dogfights, walkouts to go to other jobs, and 'bottle-crashing' endings to several seasons that saw a potentially good season end without promotion or playoff places ....

Lets just say that I would not want him anywhere near our club and leave it at that !!!

I thought he was good at Reading, but he upset the fans big time by leaving to 'better himself' at a bigger club!

Oh dear

Looks like he as probably found his level then!!

He may be good at reading but he's a crap manager!

Met him on three occasions.

Not at all what he comes across like or as the media portray him.

He's much more arrogant than that..... Complete and utter knob with an ego that knows no boundaries. Pity 'The Gas'!

If he doesn't turn it around quickly the Gas Heads will be on his back and he'll be in the Conference next season!
