United Nations

By my reckoning we currently have 17 non-Scots on our books, and I think they were all brought in by Butcher:

6 England

3 France

3 Ireland

2 N. Ireland

1 Wales

1 Austria

1 Spain

13 of them came from English clubs, and I think its fair to say that on the whole, that has been a happy hunting ground for us.

Changed days from the 3rd division along to the first when we rarely had any foreigners in the team. I think we won the first division in 2003/2004 with a full Scottish side.

I was always proud of being a mainly Scottish team, but it is very refreshing having all these new players. Some teams like Midden have gone for good but not very interesting signings. Butchers surprises make life more interesting. They turn out to be good most of the time.

It's 3 years to the day since the start of the Butcher revolution. Here's to 3 and many more.....
