Hibs star signs for English championship club

STORY FROM TODAYS BRISTOL EVENING POST

Bristol City have today signed Ivan Sproule from Hibernian, manager Gary Johnson expressed delight at finally capturing a player he has been tracking for several months.

Johnson says he will probably be the fastest thing youll see in the championship next season.

How do you guys rate him as a player ??

I read a quote stating it "was a step up" for him

On his day he can be a match winner but that doesn't happen very often.  Bit of a one trick pony relying on his pace. They can expect a few red cards as well - bit of a temper  :004:

sproules a great singing for a championship club, pace is his best attribute but hes a good finisher aswell, its a shame he went to bristol city

Agreed

For a striker his first touch could not be any worse and when he plays out wide, his crossing is gash

Like most Hibees I don't think we saw the best of http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GySIAOO8PZE. I hope Gary Johnston can get  Ivan to release the ball earlier. His speed is a major part of his game but his biggest failing is holding onto the ball to long. What City are getting is a totally exciting player when he's on his game, Ivan........ he's getting an extra £150k a year and a chance to put himself in a more prominate shop window for a step into the premiership and as for us hibees we're getting humped by the board as they strip us of all our assets.
