Stars above badges

Celtic shirts have a star above the badge, which I believe is to signify winning the European Cup. (Apparently they won it in Lisbon in 1967, but you never hear it mentioned)

Aberdeen shirts have 2 stars above the badge, which I believe is to signify winning the European Cup Winners Cup and European Super Cup.

What is the significance, if any, of Rangers having 5 stars above their badge?

its certainly not the rating for their onfield performances

Each star represents 10 league wins and five stars is to show that they have won the league fifty times.

It helps them remember a time when they were a decent team.

Its cos they were jealous that other teams had stars so they invented their own reason to copy.

There are in fact other teams in Europe that do the same as Rangers.

So did McDonalds!! - 5 gold gold starts and you became the new Ronald McDonald  :015:
